I've been a fan since 2003, when FE7 came to the US. Unsurprisingly, it was Smash that got me into the series. I've co-mained Marth in every Smash since the release of Melee in 2001.

I'm SO glad Leo is beating these top players with Marth. Show them the might of the Hero-King! I'm highly considering dropping comp play in Smash tournaments, though. It was fun trying at first but consistently losing despite trying to learn from others isn't a good sign for my future. It's just not meant to be I guess; I never made a good tournament, ever. I'll still watch tournament games at the least. Even getting to tournaments is a struggle.

Flash Party might seem interesting to me if the character design wasn't so awful, looks like generic Dreamworks characters from an animated show for 6 year old children. Just because lots of young kids play Smash Bros, doesn't mean this is really the demographic. Who are they appealing to with this kind of character design and art style? When your platform fighter game isn't Smash Bros, which relies on being a crossover of notable IP's, that means that your character design has to be really, really fresh and iconic. This game has none of that here. The appeal and interest that a playable roster has is *everything* for fighting games. What's the deal with that one guy looking like Ezreal from League of Legends with the TPA skin? Or the snowboarding yeti? Then they've literally got some idol wannabe teenage waifu... Not to mention the pay to win or pay to play (by playing more than others, you get stat boosts which is an unfair advantage). That kind of mechanic should NEVER be in a platform fighter, or any fighting game, it's completely inappropriate. MultiVersus doing it is just as unacceptable. By playing more than others, 2 players of equal skill will have one with an inherent advantage based on this. It's so obviously unfair and stupid. Free to play platform fighters should only have cosmetic and aesthetic changes for player rewards. Not really a fan of the class mechanic/skills either, they should just make unique abilities for every fighter or none at all. It's best when even characters of the same class or archetype have lots of variety in their kit, and with this system it actually reduces the overall variety of mechanics in the game since each Impeder will have the same grab buff mechanic, etc. The saddest thing about it is the gameplay seems just fine, but the game is bogged down by all the other misguided direction decisions. It's like with another indie platform fighter, Rushdown Revolt. The character design is more consistent and overall more solid, but lacks any significant appeal (except with the most original characters in its roster, like the 2 in one totem-like twins.) Also it's kinda weird Logic mentioned that skin looking like Demon Slayer, even though it was a modern day school uniform? lol. Maybe he meant Kill la Kill idk
The weak recovery hurts them more than you would think though. It's not just a problem in disadvantage, it's a significant handicap in neutral too because it means they can't ever double-jump in case they are hit afterwards, they might just die even if they are onstage.
AYYYOOOOO!!!! I’ve played you a few times in flash party!!! You got gud fundies. So hype to see it getting posted along side smash! I really would love to see this game pop off with some force. It’s a little more flesh and bones than smash but it’s a mobile game. The only options that are missing I think are roll out of shield , spotdodge and up/down charging smash moves. It’s a really decent game with a pretty good online server system. Let’s get some flash party tournaments going!
