At 2:45 when I heard the triplets I audibly yelled “that’s so cool!” I love those kinds of parts in scores. John Williams will always be my favorite composer.

Honestly, I'm jealous how effortless your runs are (especially at 4:38). I was first chair and I played the Star Wars Suite before (different arrangement) where I played the runs, but they were not as easy as you guys make it seem.
Cole Pasch - that’s awesome! And yup! Tenor and bass trombone and euphonium too. I have a lot of videos on this channel if you want to check them out. 😉 Which instrument is your favorite to play?
Awesome euphonium performance in supporting and creating a mood for the theme. But, I want to hear them totally unleashed on the darker music of Darth Vader's Theme.
John Williams said he always felt sorry for the violins in the Star Wars music. He said it was really hard with tons of notes. Just like all those 16th note licks.
You totally should, even though i haven't played tuba in over 10 years i decided i wanted to refresh my chops and invested in an affordable one and plan on getting a better one if possible
hello i am a high school euphonium player and i am looking to buy a euphonium for home that doesn't cost too much money. Do you have any recommendations?
I remember as an euphonium in high school that we would get cello parts (my favorite stringed instrument) and it would sometimes be awesome (like this) and sometimes it would be murder (f--- you Enigma Variations, just kidding I love you Enigma Variations).
Denis Wick is always a good cheaper option, after that it becomes more of a preference thing. I like Parker 5g 51d best. In regards to IET, unlikely :)
It depends on either tuning or centering requirements. It alter combinations based on which section of the band I'm sharing the melody line with or how loud or soft I need to play. Will elaborate in more detail in a separate video in near future my friend but the horn I use is actually better in regards to intonation than vast majority of euphoniums I've tried :)

If you have good, specialized earplugs then sensation is much closer to regular playing. Otherwise, it takes away a lot of frequencies which actually makes it easier to hear everyone else but much harder to hear yourself :) Try using one earplug on the side that is next to loudest instruments, I often do that :)
I don't know the exact price but I believe somewhere in the 6000-6500usd. It would depend on your future goals and financial situation. If you can afford it and plan to pursue music path then yes :)
As someone who live in Britain for 5 years I fully understand :D However, I'm just sharing what's on our music plate when we perform :) Sometimes it's treble and sometimes bass :) Hope you enjoyed the music though and appreciate the comment!
2:13
everybody gangsta until the trumpet switches from the front of left hear to back of right ear
Zed Zen everybody gangsta til the euphonium switches from the right ear to both ears
Honestly how do you even get that good at playing euphonium
Supreme Slavic Boi*
Practice. Lots and lots of practice.
The force is in the practice young padawan
Keep up the good I also play euphonium
As a Canadian who plays euphonium its been 2 years can get the right air speed

I graduated a couple of years ago and I am saying the exact same thing my friend 😂😔

Two amazing things, Star Wars and Euphonium 👍
Honestly, I'm jealous how effortless your runs are (especially at 4:38). I was first chair and I played the Star Wars Suite before (different arrangement) where I played the runs, but they were not as easy as you guys make it seem.
1:01 beautiful!
Reminds me of my first time playing this 44 years ago was a extreme buzz then and still is
Amazing as always, also could you please make a video of you playing some dci music, for example Santa Clara vanguard’s baritone duet from 2018
Umm, It's awesome! Star Wars has such AMAZING music. We just uploaded a Star Wars video too 😂
Are you a fellow trombone/euphonium player? I double in Bass trombone and euphonium at school!
Cole Pasch - that’s awesome! And yup! Tenor and bass trombone and euphonium too. I have a lot of videos on this channel if you want to check them out. 😉
Which instrument is your favorite to play?
I play baritone, I was also open-mouthed when listening to what delicacy you use to play the high notes so simple that you give them to me.
seit 40 Jahren spiele ich Posaune und Tenorhorn, aber bei k - o bin ich vom Glauben abgefallen: brilliant!!
That was awesome to watch! Thank you! And I have subscribed! I will show my 2 Euphonium students! (3rd grade and 5th grade) They will love this!!
Did you put in earplugs at the end?
Yes, the ending is super loud on snare drum :D
Absolutely insane
Amazing job.
Wow this is what i was expecting this was amazing 😀
Awesome euphonium performance in supporting and creating a mood for the theme. But, I want to hear them totally unleashed on the darker music of Darth Vader's Theme.
What a level, excellent teacher.
Very good. I like it. I like music. Thai people. FC
This was the traditional recessional at my high school for graduation!
Wish I got euphonium parts that good.
O my god! That was fucking awesome!
I play euphonium , and this is sooo hard. And how do your euphonium sounds so warm? Pls give me some advice.
Hi friend, I've made multiple detailed videos on tone. Check my educational video playlist, that will answer many of your questions :) Best, M
Thx
underrated channel
five-tuplets, 7-tuplets, etc. Crazy good.
John Williams said he always felt sorry for the violins in the Star Wars music. He said it was really hard with tons of notes. Just like all those 16th note licks.
Best Euphonium player 😍🤗
measures 118 and 119, what does the bar through the stems mean? (4:45 ish)
This makes me want to get back into playing music
You totally should, even though i haven't played tuba in over 10 years i decided i wanted to refresh my chops and invested in an affordable one and plan on getting a better one if possible
Crymzon1980 I played for the school band I learned sheet music now my brain is dull
What kind of Euphonium are you using?
Jupiter XO
5:10 - from M.. WOW.
Who is the euphonium player that sits right next to you and will you/ have you ever made a video with him
Amazing ! Could you tell me which type of microphone are you using? The sound is very good!
Depends on video but either camcorders mic or AT2020 :)
@@Matonizz tks
whats the melody called that starts around 1:05 ?
I switched to French horn but euphonium will always be my spirit instrument (although French horn has fun parts)
If you love your subscribers heart this
Epic
Thank you!
Hi matonizz! Im a young euphoniunist and I've seen your past videos but I am still struggling to play the high notes do you have any more tips?
Hi friend, check my educational video playlist. I've made numerous videos on range that will help you a bunch. Best, M
is this played with a full band or just brass band? either way, it sounded fantastic
If only there were in Australia then I could get some lessons from a professional
Where abouts in Australia are you ? Plenty of brass and concert bands in Melbourne , Geelong and colac
Should I buy a besson prestige, a besson sovereign, or a xo Jupiter
why do u use 4th valve to play the high c in the beginning
I'm wondering if you can give me the parts that you have so i can try to play them?
hello i am a high school euphonium player and i am looking to buy a euphonium for home that doesn't cost too much money. Do you have any recommendations?
Send me an email to euphonium.legends@gmail.com with details like your budget and I'll let you know my recommendations. Best, M
Third!!
What city do you guys perform at
I remember as an euphonium in high school that we would get cello parts (my favorite stringed instrument) and it would sometimes be awesome (like this) and sometimes it would be murder (f--- you Enigma Variations, just kidding I love you Enigma Variations).
John Williams is the goat
Do you have any recommendations on choosing mouthpieces? Also, will you be at IET in Atlanta this year?
Denis Wick is always a good cheaper option, after that it becomes more of a preference thing. I like Parker 5g 51d best. In regards to IET, unlikely :)
Measurement 52: "a tempo"
What band/orchestra do you play for?
I expected a lot but not a and c being played on 4th valve, are they out of tune on the Jupiter?
It depends on either tuning or centering requirements. It alter combinations based on which section of the band I'm sharing the melody line with or how loud or soft I need to play. Will elaborate in more detail in a separate video in near future my friend but the horn I use is actually better in regards to intonation than vast majority of euphoniums I've tried :)
Awesome music played by awesome musicians who is the awesome arranger?
Thank you sir! Joseph Green is the name :)
@@Matonizz Kudos to Joseph Green In the opera world Joseph Green is Giuseppe Verdi Bravo!
why do you sometimes you 4th valve for C above the staff and other times you use 1st valve?
Either tuning or centering purpose. It depends on which section of the band I'm sharing the melody line with or how loud or soft I need to play. Will elaborate in more detail in a separate video in near future my friend :)
Matonizz ok thanks
Whats it like playing with earplugs? I've been thinking about using them myself but it feels like its harder to know what im doing if I have them in

Otherwise, it takes away a lot of frequencies which actually makes it easier to hear everyone else but much harder to hear yourself :) Try using one earplug on the side that is next to loudest instruments, I often do that :)
Matonizz oh that’s interesting. So you generally hear others better but can’t hear yourself. Thanks for the information :)
Lol I play euphonium too.
How much is your instrument and would recommend an 8th grader getting one?
I don't know the exact price but I believe somewhere in the 6000-6500usd. It would depend on your future goals and financial situation. If you can afford it and plan to pursue music path then yes :)
Where does he perform?
Mostly USA. A lot of PA, some Florida, NY. These are most frequent areas :)
This is just hearing euphoniums not have the melody in Star Wars.
なんでこんな指回るんだ......
me thinking this looks playable. then L happened
Frustrating for British Brass banders that its in Bass clef
As someone who live in Britain for 5 years I fully understand :D However, I'm just sharing what's on our music plate when we perform :) Sometimes it's treble and sometimes bass :) Hope you enjoyed the music though and appreciate the comment!
