I love how this Red Hood is more heroic than his usual counterparts. He spared that thug after hearing how he suffered at the Joker's hands, he only went after the Joker after he killed Batman, he decided to give Alfred one final goodbye, and he threw away his guns after he killed the Joker.
He is usually heroic just darker.

+Brendan Fuller They really can't though, it'd be too dark and the version they most likely would do would be nothing like how he becomes the hood.. this is considered to be too graphic and would be an R rating at best.. Dc doesn't do that.. but it's an amazing video..

Well they did make Deadpool an R rated film so there's always a good chance. I mean it can be pg-13 but how can you shoot that torture scene and not make it totally graphic you know?

Yeah. A well acted and well coreographed fan film. Amazing really. The fight scenes looked very good and the acting was top notch. The actor should play Jason Todd in a feature film or a series. Also like the direction they took at the end. Todd instead of Grayson taking over... nice actually.

The aggression from Tod was spot on in those fight scenes. No fancy stuff, just the quickest, most effective and least amount of moves to get the job done with each punch holding 100% of the rage
The monologue in the beginning is very strong and in my opinion, extraordinary. And Alfred saying "you might not be a Wayne, but you are still family", that was amazing, I come back to watch this all the time
In all honesty, the actor for Jason Todd sounds exactly as I would imagine him to sound. It’s amazing the emotion he can put into his voice. If it hadn’t blatantly said ‘fan movie’ in the title, I would’ve thought he was a professional on the big screen.

Whoever played Falcone was mesmerising and intimidating, incredible casting and talent.
Its almost impossible to find a fan film that doesnt make me cringe uncontrollably, but this is the exception

Could I make a suggestion?
When trying to set tension in a scene like the falcone scene, try to minimalize the amount of music. Not saying it's bad, just a tip.
The guy with the gun to his head telling the story about Falcone however, amazing talent.

The actor who played Jason Todd/Red Hood was fantastic. This whole thing was a triumph. Well done many times over. This was a brilliant short film. You should all be extremely proud. Wonderful work, I can't praise this enough.

rashon shelby I wouldn't go as far to say anyone could play the Joker, but that's just my opinion. I think to pull of the Joker, you need to understand what makes him good. Most people try to imitate Mark Hamill, but I think it would be cool to see a Joker who isn't so over the top, kinda like we did in the Dark Knight. But not exact, since I want it to be different.

I personally thought your actor's interpretation of the Joker was excellent. The Falcone-office scene was my personal highlight, but with that said, the entire short kept me captivated from start to finish. I'm looking forward to your next project, mate.

Seeing as this was a fan film you guys did extraordinarily. Even the Joker actor did a great job. Sure, he doesn't exactly have a face for it but you can see the passion to make this film as good as possible. I'm very impressed. We need you on the big screen, guys!

I dont really watch youtube films, but this I got to say was amazing. The guy playing the Joker was on point not because of his outfit or make up, but because of the insanity in his eyes, it was perfect!!!!
I LOVE THIS SOOO MUCH. This is by far the best fan film I've seen it was well filmed and the actors were awesooome and I loved red hoods costume.

I'm the 20,000th guy to like this fanfilm. I was absolutely blown away by the compelling story. Jason Todd is a very underrated character and this fan film certainly has done justice to him. Great work by the film-makers and of course, Simon Arblaster. He kinda reminds me of Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys lol. On a downside, the Joker was poorly cast.

+Infamous Banana not all the time. When red hood started he was cold and mean and killed more often. Now he's laid back a little and learned and talked to batman so he's not as hot headed as he used to be. Character development aka.

Honestly the worst part about this is the Joker, both in makeup design and in voice. But overall a very well acted and edited film. I would definitely watch more of this.

+FuryVengeanceYT I think that since it was black, he would take on the mantle of the bat. Now that he has the one he wants to kill killed, he can morally become Batman.
+Max Barth The other reason it was good is because it didn't try to pander to one demographic which is the big problem with movies today.
This movie was made the way you would expect if movie were made to fully match the source material they came from.
The movie also proved you don't need to see the graphic violence to know its happening as proven when you saw Jason beat The Joker with the crowbar.
You could hear it and you saw blood, but you didn't see The Joker's face, it was left to your imagination which is far more powerful than actually showing it.

Fantastic, music is great, choreographed nicely. The Joker is the weak link of the movie, not only because he doesn't look like the Joker, but the acting is sub-par and the voice is pretty bad. Everything else though is marvelous. The design of the eyes of the Hood's helmet are cool and I'm pretty sure they're edited to light up like that, made it look great. I wish I could make a trailer for this fan film lol

It was the voice and Laugh that's Comic movie Joker imho ? It was grating after awhile nothing personal . Heath Ledger set the BAR way way to high . Its gonna be hard for anyone for a long time . The Joker movie with J. Phoenix may reset the role again ??

the casting for todd was nice. falcone, nailed it. the others, not so much. the joker wasnt convincing me that he is the joker. but other than that, the quality of cinematography was great!

+Arsoul :: Yes, costuming was really good for this as well as the other films in the fan films in this series. Loved the mask -- however, Jason Todd/Red Hood is portrayed with the scars of his murder in canon, including a vicious J scar on his face. Not saying that the actor should be scarred up, but Jason *did* get murdered.
This is a Redhood i can actually take seriously. I just can't for the life of me take Redhood in titans seriously. Absolutely amazing fan film well worth watching and rewatching.
ok, I liked this, joker was a problem his voice was good but his cadence and his expressions didn't not sell the joker for me.
as for the red hood at the end, when he sprayed painted it black, does Todd become Batman?
I like the fact that in this story that batman died, and Jason was out for revenge. you could had filmed exposition scene explaining it.

This is by far the best red hood film I’ve seen. I would love to maybe see more one day.
This has been out for about 4 years and I still come back at least 5 times a year. This is the best fan film ever made and I wish Hollywood had the balls to portray such a dark and brutal 'hero', who would do what Batman won't. But if they did 2 Deadpool movies then we can still dream, right?

I enjoyed this, what a great twist on a classic story. Fight choreography was some of the best I've seen in a fan film. Joker needs some work, but it is super hard to nail down an Iconic character like him without voice lessons from Mark Hamill. maybe go the fumbly grumbly Heath Ledger Joker

Im watching this now 6 years later, where this year there is a different ongoing red hood project which has its strengths and weaknesses just like this video here. but the chills with the fight scenes, the amazing characterisation overall here and the props and just the entire way the fan film is directed is still a masterpiece almost a decade later. This truly puts DC and warner bros. to absolute SHAME that they havent used and developed Jason/ Red hood. this is truly a work of art, i love this dearly and everyone who made this happen should truly be proud of themselves. this will carry and hold so many of us afloat whilst we hope for some better crumbs from the big gun producers themselves. I love this fan film so much and yeah just WOW.

Some parts I didn't understand. The Joker poured gas on him as Robin and dropped the lighter so why wasn't he badly burned as Red Hood? And who killed Batman?

Not even far in, but the fight scene choreography and delivery is absolutely perfect. Every thing has so much impact to it, the actors receiving and dealing punches really sold it well
