- On today's episode, we interview a business owner, originally from Durban who now resides in Johannesburg and claims that he makes the BEST bunny chow in Joburg. Do you have a different opinion? where do you think makes the best bunny chow?
We also attended the festival of lights at Johannesburg zoo, it was LIT! pun intended.
We also touch on our safety as tourists in Jozi, and what we thing the most dangerous thing about Johannesburg is!

To tell the truth December my people are grooving they don't have time Joburg Zoo
😂😂😂 Beware of the floor, not the crime 😂😂😂
Right 😂😂
I am a Durbanite who lives in Joburg, I think Durban bunny is still the best. Whenever I arrive in Durban I would drive to the workshop to get my best bunny chow
About the cbd thing that is not completely accurate there are many places you can enjoy apart from the hustle and bustle of the inner city, there Maboneng a vibrant spot, places like braamfontein a very trendy place.
We went to Maboneng, it’s coming up in a video. It was good vibes
❤❤❤❤❤❤🙏👊
❤❤❤❤❤❤🙏🏽south africa 🇿🇦
Happy new year 🎆, very nice vlog
Happy New Year 🥳 wishing you all the best 🤗
I travelled the whole of South Africa when I lived there. Cape Town is the best. The Cape is so scenic if you travel along the garden route. I have been away from South Africa the last 37 years. I dont miss it.
Interesting. It’s funny most of the ppl at work would say the same but most of our TH-camr friends say different. Guess it depends on the vibe you’re looking for
For me the best part was when u were at the NELSON MANDELA SQUARE ....#MORECONTENT BRO🔥🇿🇦🤘🏿
Glad you’re liking the content!
Happy New Year to and the family,
As for Bunny Chow, they vary from place to place. But everything have a taste of its own
Happy new year! We only tasted it once but would like to taste the differing varieties for sure
@lifeinprogressUK
If you are going to in this Country for long, you will get to taste variety of cuisine if you haven't done so. But Enjoy your exploration of different sites and eateries. Most of the food are fresh which I think you will agree with me
Give us some names of dishes we really need to try
Happy New Year to you and your family, hopefully you can visit monte casino.
Happy new year! We’ll add it to the list for next time!
If you're still in the country, try going to Flames restaurant at the Westcliff (opposite the zoo). You would be able to see some of the animals while having a great meal
Oh that sounds amazing!
Aww noway you gonna leave SA without coming to the Hood SOWETO 😅😅 especially SOWETO TOWER & try bungee jumping there & Instanation there in Rose bank mall if it's still open to get 🔥 pictures for IG
Happy new year 🙏
Happy New Year! 🥳
Your content resignated a lot me...❤❤❤
So glad to hear that 🫶🏽
The Indian man you interviewed had it nice during apartheid like all other Indians because Indians were second citizens during apartheid, coloureds were third citizens and Africans (the indigenous people of this country and continent) were there most marginalized people and were viewed as being subhuman... it's true, Joburg CBD is not what it used to be but we got places like Sandton, Rosebank, Fourways, Melrose and many more that are safe and most importantly, i as a Black person can go to and live in.
thank you for sharing
Happy New Year my family
Happy new year! 🥳
Only way you will understand what a great bunny chow is if you come to Durban. There is a place called Goundans in Umbilo the mutton curry bunny chow. Then Hollywood in Springfield their broadbeans bunny is lovely the problem is the spices in jozi the quality is not the same as in Durban..
Thanks for the tip!
Gold Reef City for Baby Boy and Monte Casino family Dinner/Lunch --- you have not visited.
🤔 something contextual that may have been missing from your interview. South Africa has deep socioeconomic divides, among them being the split between White & India South Africans vs Black & Coloured South Africans. The former groups have far higher income (and other lifestyle indicators) and were treated differently during apartheid. So, I'm not surprised at the surface level answers (about life in Joburg) that you got.
The best Bunny Chow in Johannesburg is made by our Indian heritage friends. Second best is by MooMoo at Pineslopes.
Happy new year people
Happy New Year 🥳
10:00 People will not get along until the socio-economic equalities are redressed. The majority of natives are still being treated like second-class citizens and are STILL not benefiting economically. The European settlers' Apartheid hierarchy of superiority still exists, with the natives at the bottom of the barrel. You will see it from the workforce right down to residential areas. We are a long way from fixing the wrongs of the past.
Dumela Happy new year
Happy New Year
Please take Eli to gold reef city. Go to the rides section not the casino
Will have to next time
Brother Derrick clearly did not grow up in a township like Soweto. Unfortunately it is not everyone interviewed would have broad knowledge of the other reality.
There is a reason Soweto had a viewing site created specifically for Caucasians to have a safe birds eye view of the township.
Indian South Africans were placed in Lenasia, separate from Africans, and their upbringing was probably different.
thank you for sharing
Now you face looks more brighter more than before that tell you that south Africa is the place to be
We love South Africa !! 🫶🏽
