This is a beautiful video John. I've been watching your videos for years, and of the countless rambles I've listened to from you, this has got to be the best. I've been going through a lot of the perspective of life changing experiences like the one you talked about at the end over the past couple years due to coming to terms with an abusive childhood. As of yesterday I started a new job, in a new city, with all the autonomy, responsibility, and compensation I've dreamed of and it's going great. After work today, I drove for 1.5hrs to see my buddies at an indoor park and I just landed a front crook nollie flip, which I've been trying for months since I got a pair of NB Foys (funny you're wearing them), and for me that was undoubtedly the most difficult trick I've ever done. I'm currently riding one of those same highs right now with all the positives going on lately, my mind is buzzing with the roll away of a banger and I couldn't be more blessed to hear your humbling story afterwards as well. Thanks for being you, sharing your journey with us, and best of luck with keeping on that positive change mindset.

I love your transparency John. Not everyone feels comfortable picking themselves apart in front of a camera for the world to see. It's very true though, surround yourself with people who are better at something or who are just doing better and it will definitely help to push you in the direction you wanna go, even if it is uncomfortable

When you start to congratulate instead of hate you know your becoming more humble. It’s just as easy to find something good as it is bad. Being optimistic will attract positivity even in a negative situation.
I can relate a lot with wanting to be the star of my own videos and not wanting to go out and skate with people better than me . This video actually opened up my eyes in a positive way . I just started my on skate vlogs in Maine and I’m going to try to pursue it differently and get others in my videos to make better quality vlogs 🙏🏼
