Before coming across your video, I tried to hydrate my sealed Lead-Acid 12V battery of my Jump Starter. I used the Jump Starter for several years, however, like you said, did not do any maintenance such as hydrating. I liked your helpful tips such as: where to get the essential items such as distilled water, syringe, why syringe is needed, how to boost the voltage of a 5V charger to recharge a 12V battery, precautions not to charge the battery inside the house as the reaction releases Hydrogen gas, to what level to refill the battery with distilled water, cleaning the exterior of the battery free of dust before beginning the project, displaying a chart that shows how long to charge, how much distilled water needed, how to set the multi-meter to measure DC voltage, etc, etc. There are many other useful tips, precautions you touched upon in your videos. I found your Part-1 and Part-2 videos very useful. You are truthful, honest, knowledgeable and helpful. Congratulations from Sweet Memories from far far away land.
Watch both parts. Very nicely explained with full information. A genuine guy 👍👌 Though i find it more easier to get it recharged for Rs. 50/- here than go thru all this hardship with the risk involved. Would like to try now due to lockdown all Exide service centres are closed
@@pawanpatil2115 I didn't try this method for recharge though. I took it to the Exide service shop for charging. When they checked with the multimeter the reading was above 12 however, when they tried to connect +ve & -ve nodes there was no friction so he said the battery is dead. I'm using the Exide Bikerz VRLA 12BV9 battery which is a dry battery so don't know how to revive or recharge the battery now. Do you have any suggestions?
@@pawanpatil2115 So what do you plan to do? Which battery are you using? I guess the Exide dealer doesn't want to repair as he wants to make money after lockdown so he flatly says pay 900 Rs. My battery had full Guarantee for 18 months after which the warranty period for 18 mths starts. My battery is 24 mth old
