Confusing why the AA missile has such a low range (250m) when it's the aircraft that can put the most distance between you the fastest vs. ground vehicles?
I know. Especially jets are so quickly out of range.
I too have asked myself this very question. Ultimately, I believe that we, the reasonable consumer, are asking questions which are TOO logical and/or reasonable. Free thought is dangerous! We should simply and unquestionably lap up the slop which is given to us.
They can increase the range but only if my heli gets not lockable if I’m flying low enough. Otherwise not fair for the vehicle & pilots.

I particularly prefer the M5, which in addition to the scope has extra ammunition, the weapon I have the most fun with in the game, shooting down helicopters. At the moment I'm looking to master the RPG, which has greater damage even though it's slower to reload, and besides the nostalgia remembering this bazooka in BF4, I'm adapting and maybe I won't use the M5 anymore 🤪 Congratulations on the great content on the channel.
They have to keep the pilot boys and girls from whining.

Could you get a group of BF creators together to play in a squad? BF is, IMO, best played in a squad.
Having everyone come together could be a real “avengers assemble” moment.
Also, it allowed lots of older BF creators to blow up.
Edit to add: if I was EA I’d absolutely sponsor this sort of content. Show off BF with people using comms, working together. So many game systems work towards this, but then they fail to make good squad up mechanics in game. Ending videos suggesting “if you wanna find people to squad up with try the official BF discord”

I personally recommend using crawford while using the RPG-7V2.
He has a trait which adds one more rocket to any shoulder-fired rocket.
He's also the best antitank specialist, he has a minigun which can be a last resort if you are out of ammo.
or you can use it for AA purposes.

Very good video going over all of them. One note on the lissle. At 12:20, you say the enemy vehicle is notified of an incoming lissle which makes it seem as if it's the same as a locked on missile coming for them. The only notification they get is the sound and obv the red glow.

I've used Liz's rocket for RECON as well when pinned down. Launch it in the opposite direction, start turning it around 80% fuel burn, and you get a few seconds of seeing what's going on and can usually find something to hit.

Thank you as always. Lis is the best anti vehicle in my opinion. She can use both launcher and bomb for close and far target. Plus with anti armor grenade and anti material sniper she can deal damage with everything in her inventory.
Nice! I personally like to set her primary to the SCAR-GL so I can equip Armor Piercing bullets and AP Grenades. Two more ways to damage vehicles (although the Armor Piercing bullets are kinda lame against anything but the lightest vehicles and some Helis, especially compared to the .50 Cal sniper, I still think they’re cool! 😎)
Lis and Boris, maybe in that order. Lis is the undeniable GOAT for that kit, but I think Boris gets special honors because I've made some awesome and overwhelming plays on a vehicle by using the turret to distract them and their gunner while I flank with an RPG, AT Grenade. Alternately, making a C4 or AT Mine rush while the turret just hammers them. Spreading out their target attention is severely underrated.
Would be cool if we got a plus menu for the Shoulder fired launchers. The irl Charlie G is already such a versatile platform, dice have already proven this can be implemented with sundances original grenade options.
That would’ve been so cool! I’m imagining 3 different types of warheads/rockets: Anti-Tank, Anti-Air (maybe faster and longer range with slightly less damage?), and anti-Infantry/High Explosive (limited vehicle damage and blast damage, but huge splash damage). Something like that, anyway. What a great idea!
I was so hoping to be able to use the RPG scope like in bfbc2 after using it in portal mode, but was disappointed severely after it not being available to use

M5 is a recoilless rifle that is designed to eject some form of countermass such as propellant gas from the rear of the weapon at the moment of firing, creating forward thrust that counteracts most of the weapon's recoil. This allows for the elimination of much of the heavy and bulky recoil-counteracting equipment of a conventional cannon as well as a thinner-walled barrel, and thus the launch of a relatively large projectile from a platform that would not be capable of handling the weight or recoil of a conventional gun of the same size. Great video! I just hate that Engenieer is the only class that depends of others classes (ammo supply and tags) to do their job.
I would love to use Liz's rocket but everytime I do I get that weird glitch after it's first use. However, I do get great satisfaction in taking out choppers with the RPG.
Liz's missile also has a distinct sound, so you can hear them coming too

If you're struggling and frustrated trying to T1 all of the rockets, my recommendation would be to hang back and focus on vehicles that have already been damaged. Setting up in an area where the pilots are trying to scoot back to their spawn areas for repair is always productive for AA. Also, riding in a passenger or gunner seat of a vehicle where you can jump out and get off a quick rocket works well. And don't forget, if you're in a match with lots of AI, they love to pile into pick up trucks and ATVs - easy 1-shot kills.
Ranking them on how I feel from worst to best:
5. RPG7V2. I do not like this thing much at all. The bomus damage is not worth the decrease in ammo.
4. FXM AA: This thing is decent but the lock distance is so low that I do not use it much.
3. Javelin: This thing can do so much damage and I love it. The lock can be annoying but man it fucks up vehicles.
2. M5 Recoiless: I really like the M5. It is just a jack of all trades for rocket launchers. Not great at anything in particular but really bad at anything any more. Reload used to be pretty bad but is now better.
1. Lis Tgm 84. I mainly put this here for the ability to knock choppers out pretty consistently and the ability to also bring other AT kit. Boris or Crawford can use the other launchers but the specialist gadgets they have are pretty awful for AT. Boris and an M5 isnt that great as it is hard to take out a tank on his own. Same with Crawford. But, with Lis, you can put AT mines or C5 and then use a Lissile to finish them. Lis' kit is just way too viable not to put at number 1 for me.

Rpg has not enough ammo and m5 is okay, since it has more ammo than rpg. Wish 2042 had field upgrades like bf4, with anti-tank perk you could have 7 rockets lol.

I just wish they would fix that spawn under the map when getting in a vehicle bug. The lissile acts like a vehicle when you fire it. So when the bug hits, the TGM is unplayable.
lis' missile can be hacked by rao too. that's not to bother bcs it's super hard to hack it with it's speed

Wait... when did we start calling Angel's Loadut crates "Supply Drops"? I know that's what they were in the previous games. I've never heard anyone say that. Also... WTF? I'm just now finding out that the RPG can lock on? Like, that's a dumb fire rocket. Guess what I'm doing tomorrow? One of these days, Dice. Anyway, good video, Mary.
Between the speed they can move out of the limited range, the length that countermeasures last, the ability for them to heal themselves while still in the air, the stealth helicopters, and the stupid "below radar" system, using the AA rocket seems basically pointless. I gave up on them after the "below radar" system was implemented and i ended up just looking at a helicopter through the scope as it noticed me and killed me.
I used Lis exclusively for a good while, as my dedicated anti-armor specialist, and her rockets low damage versus ground armor just felt so, so terrible. Eventually switched to Crawford with the RPG for 3 rockets (now I think I switch out the RPG to the M5 recoilless) because having rockets that actually do some damage feels significantly better, and I can actually feel like I’m making a difference when fighting a tank on the ground.
Lis, even as the “launcher specialist”, just feels so weak unless someone is also firing rockets alongside you, which in tens of hours of pure vehicle hunting didn’t happen to me a single time..
I think u should use C5 or AT mines (my fav) to beef up ur anti vehicle game.
Or use the EOD bot & have fun

I’m just not great at either of them, and wanted a more “traditional” way of fighting vehicles when I picked an anti-vehicle specialist, so Crawford with the RPG and anti-tank grenades felt a little more comfortable. But you’re totally right, Lis with those gadgets is still effective if you can pull it off :)
@@Stockover unfortunately the nerf from the specialist era is still in effect so 4 out of 7 of the engineer gadgets can't be used
One small but obvious detail that REALLY bugs me about the FGM Javelin: when it’s locked on to a vehicle that’s been SOFLAM’d, Hacked, or Target Darted (in other words, when it’s in “top down” mode) the “TOP” icon on the side of the viewfinder doesn’t light up green like it does in real life (and like it did in BF4)!
It’s such a stupid error, but it’d be SO EASY to fix! The game’s been out for 2 years and they still haven’t taken the 20 minutes to fix this simple, obvious cosmetic error.
I hate to say it, but the complete lack of attention to detail really goes too show how little the developers cared about making this game.

Not enough rockets so I only use the Lissile now with C5, the AA missile is a waste of space. The Javelin can be a mass murderer if the recons do their job properly, but then some games I’ve lit up vehicle after vehicle with a soflam playing Pak and no engineer has realised the benefit, very frustrating. When they do vehicles can disappear very quickly🤣.
I have done Javelin T1. I think you can replenish your Javelin from ammo crates.
You can. But you cannot increase the max rocket amount similar to all others.

Got into BF42 yesterday. Enjoying it much. But GOD please tell me how to remove that message from screen (Tactical conquest etc..) it occupied a ton of screenspace.
You can’t remove it in this mode. That’s an issue for a while now. All other modes don’t have this luckily.

Rao‘s hacking is only around 4 seconds if I remember correctly.

@@MrSilk13642 It designates similar to the Soflam yes. But for a shorter time. Not sure it‘ll trigger the Javelins too attack though since it’s not laser-designated. This feature was added to the game a few updates ago. Can’t remember when exactly.

Well with my experience I love the RPG until they nerf it. The M5 is hit or miss sometimes I don't get a hit marker with it, they all need a damage buff especially Liz.
Is Lis’ rocket still bugged though? Using it in CQC would bug out all vehicles, setting your camera into the ground, often in inaccessible parts of the map. And yes, that goes for follow-up shots with her rocket as well. It really became unusable and hard to play a match
I heard from players still experiencing this. But I hadn’t had it so far.
I experienced this bug consistently against AI on Exposure. However after update 5.1 +- hit I haven't experienced it since. I suggest you give it a try if it happens to you!

Love my RPG, but 2 rockets is just not enough. And the scope of the M5 is not my thing. Other than that I use the M5 the most.

I use the RPG for shit and gigs so I can role play as a Russian as boris. But if I’m serious I go with the Gustafson.
The most unfortunate side effect of the class rework was that these great launchers were limited to 2 (bad) specialists…any engineer not named Lis is nerfing themselves
And Rao + FXM was soo much fun to play. And extremely useful.

Another plus for the TGM is that it makes dedicated heli pilots cry and rage and even quit the match if you down them once or twice.

I feel like launchers and eng have been nerfed into the dirt at this point, and vehicles have free range.
I’ve encountered so many Angels that don’t know how to drop the crate.

i played like 30h now, vehicles are way too op. Their stupid flares have less cooldown than my reload speed. its just stupid, like not getting soflam until level 56
I just bought bf4, & playing as stock engineer I found the rocket launcher that doesn't appear in 2042 called the MBT LAW.

like this comment if you feel as though you're the only one on your team actively hunting vehicles and when you are in a vehicle the entire other team is actively hunting you.
Also ive said before, lock on direction in aircraft isnt balanced, its fine for ground vehicles and they are slow and well.. on the ground. Being how short flare cool downs can be, how fast and maneuverable, and can quickly find cover in most maps, and with auto repair, seems ridiculous to let them know which direction to run from or hide. And then they wonder why Liz is the most picked specialist.
