I genuinely don’t see the point in going to Alton towers or Thorpe park with a child under 1.2. The child won’t be able to get on any rides at Thorpe park, and you would have to leave the child alone while you queued. And in Alton towers, you have CBeebies land, but how big the park is, you’ll basically be miles away if you leave them to play and go to a different area. The go-to for small kids is chessington or legoland, possibly Drayton manor if the kid’s a bit too old for legoland and wants a bit more of a thrill.
@@kiphakes while it does have plenty for smaller children, if it’s only 1 parent and one child under 1.2, it would be a huge issue in my opinion, as you wouldn’t be able to leave the kid alone to play in CBeebies land while you go on the larger rides, or you would have to stay in CBeebies land all day and sacrifice the thrill you would get by going on bigger rides. I wish they had a daycare or something at Alton towers in CBeebies land so that the kids can have fun and the parents also can.
If I get kids i won’t take then early it used to be very good for kids back in the 90s I can’t wait to be back in the park in October I will go on flying fish to celebrate the 40 years plus I am getting my first load of pins soon going to get the starter set miss being a 90s kid I was born in 1989

I echo your thoughts about Thorpe. What was there for smaller people has mostly gone now.. however I think Alton Towers has plenty for smaller people
