I wasn’t able to understand everything but the visuals were plenty. I am planning on building a bowl like you used to wet your fiber when winding off the bobbin but I want to build mine with two hooks at the bottom for when I ply two yarns together so they can be plied wet. I made a makeshift setup to test my theory but here you are with exactly what I need. You have some excellent thread that is not overly fuzzy when dry. Something I strive for with my singles but have better luck when I ply. My plied linen is much less fuzzy than my singles. Could be the quality of my long line flax as well. I wished there was english in the CC so I could read along as you spoke. Wonderful techniques. I’ll have to try again some of those techniques. I prefer to just hang my fiber straight on the distaff over a cone or just tie on straight with a ribbon vs crisscrossing the fibers.
Another option is to place a cup on it's side in a bowl of water and lead the thread through the ear. I read that somewhere.
