On a previous trip, I got to experience one of the best, if not the best, buffets in Asia. That was called the Spiral buffet at the Sofitel Hotel with over twenty dedicated stations to showcase the different cultures and cuisines, piles and mounds of seafood of lobsters, scallops, and other crustaceans in the Manila area! But sadly the Spiral buffet is no more as the Sofitel Hotel had to close its doors and along with that, the Spiral Buffet has shutdown too!
So this trip, I was on a quest to find the best buffet in Manila and in the Country, and I believe I have found it! In the Entertainment district as the Okada Manila Casino and Resort, there is a buffet called the Medley buffet. I have been there before and it was already impressive back then, but recently, they made some changes to expand the buffet; making bigger and better! What's new you ask? A cheese room! Yes, a room dedicated to all the fine cheese around the world and local as well! Are you hungry for some seafood? They've got you covered! Unlimited lobster chilled or cooked to how you like it... whether it's butter garlic lobster, cheesy lobster, or even Singaporean Chilly lobsters, they'll make it for you on the spot! And while your made to order goodness is being prepared, you can multi-task at the buffet with their amazing sushi, an American Vegas style Prime rib, fatty juicy brisket and everything you can imaging.
And it doesn't stop there! What's a good meal without a good wine? Enjoy endless free flowing wines, beers, and hand crafted table side cocktails. If you're visiting Manila and can only go to one buffet, this is the one to visit!
