probably one of the best modern tetris matches of all time

this game is absolutely nuts, this is the best set I've ever watched in any tetris game, their survivals even 5 minutes into stage 3 are just out of this world. Kazu was definitely quite nervous there, deciding this game by misdrop after misdrop. But whenever they didn't, or matched misdrops, they went on forever. GG.

God Damn! This is beyond god tier! It's about efficient as a perfect game if ZONE battle had one. Absolutely phenomenal.

Akashi is forced to go 4-wide in many occasions show how much a threat and dangerous kazu is, despite going 4-wide, kazu isn’t out until they misdrop, really out of this world player, Imagine answering each 4-wide with a 4-wide as well, i don’t think it would have end the same.
Not forgetting to mention Akashi’s kirbs all over the place, they find it so fast.
Both are better than each other in specific skills. And overall, both entertained us! Thank you Akashi, Thank you kazu for the best set I have watched in Tetris Effect

As a cuber(main event being square-1 lol) and tetris player, I'm just absolutely astounded by the amazing creative ways these players find to squeeze out the best attacks they can in order to win these games

Attention Twitch Chat: I have some unfortunate news to report. Renowned caster, Commando, has been reported dead as of May 20th. Medical experts say they were last seen watching Kazu v Akashi play TE:C in Square One, and a double 1app round led to his heart exploding upon seeing the absurd stats. The sheer amount of precarious moments and airtight sanic phase 3 zones were too much for Commando’s mental to take. The only witness, SGFerox, had this to say: L+Ratio.

    2014 - 720p looks bad
    2023 - puzzle kingdom -_-

As someone who watched video thoroughly in 2014 I don't remember anyone saying it looked bad lmao.
We stream at 900p60 on Twitch and due to streaming software that is also how our VODs are recorded. Twitch cannot handle a true 1080p stream on games such as TE:C due to bitrate limitations. A 720p60 TH-cam upload sourced from a Twitch VOD (which YT downscales from 900p) of TE:C is actually going to look CONSIDERABLY BETTER than if we were streaming in 1080p.
Match is still perfectly watchable and IMO based on what I said above its actually better than when we were streaming our events in 1080
