Kreese's look of astonishment as his pupil accidentally impales himself. "Wait... did I hear my knife?"
To answer your question, I’m guessing the other dojos were brawling too because they thought they were under attack and panicked. Plus, Dublin Thunder had been established as a bunch of brawlers who were always looking for a fight (Hawk said they fought the locals on the beach in episode 7). Also, episode 6 established that there was bad blood and tension between the teams. Maybe some of them had scores to settle. Like Brazil’s dojo - they got humiliated by Kenny when he scored two points on them, so they went after him in the brawl, and Dublin Thunder wanted revenge on Miyagi Do for eliminating them earlier.
Was also stated prior beefs blue dojo went after Kenny for dog walking them, Devon beating Dublin.
In episode 6, it was brief, but they did establish that, a lot of the other competing dojos had beef with each other, probably because they've competed and lost against each other in previous tournaments. So the moment they saw 3 dojo actively getting into a scuffle on the mat, they took that as an opportunity to let out all of that rage, especially the Russians who were just disqualified.
Btw, the woman Russian who wss fighting Sensei Kim is AEW Wrestler Britt Baker
They also established that Dublin thunder loves to start fights and always want to have a brawl, which explains why they were one of the first teams to start the brawl
Good to see you not forget that Axel was abused by his sensai. That explains his attachment to Sam. He's abused physically and no doubt emotionally by his sensai, he's been isolate from the rest of his team, while they were out having fun he was training and getting abused. It seems like his whole focus has been on being the best in karate, he doesn't have social skills. And then here comes Sam, a pretty girl from a rival dojo, who shows him kindness which might be the first time somebody has shown him actual kindness. He thinks there's a deeper meaning, because of his sensai, but nope, Sam is just being kind. He gets attached to her, because he's been treated like shit by everybody except for her. It's gotta be addressed in the next 5 episodes.
Take a look at the reactions of Kreese and Silver when Kwon yelled, they've heard that scream before too many times in Vietnam. They didn't have to be anywhere near Kwon to know that was a death scream. It shook them, Terry especially. It could be the thing that gets Kreese to see his way is wrong, his teachings got a kid killed.
About the hockey fight, don't watch it anymore, but yeah that kind of describes the Avalanche vs Red Wings rivalry in the mid 90s to early 2000s. Massive fights between the teams regularly, the ice was stained with blood and the refs didn't really care.
great analysis! I completely agree
To be fair during the brawl no one was looking to kill anyone yes it was out of control but still no need to cut the feed, of course they had to cut it when someone actually died but had Kreese not had his knife on him like a lunatic no one would have.
Actually realistic the feed wasn't cut happens in live sport all the time when there is violence. Perfectly normal to go live to air
To be fair, he was unconscious for half the fight. If he was in the NFL, he'd be in concussion protocol. He can't be blamed for not cutting the cameras sooner.
I was a bit surprised, too, at the somewhat lack of empathy for the death of a character. He might have been a villain, but he was still a kid. I was shocked at my first watch. This show has always been over the top. That is part of its charm. I just hope the end of this iconic show will not be a letdown.
I love Karate akid and Cobra Kai, but I felt nothing. He was a cliché punk and I felt nothing for him as a viewer. Johnny, Chozen, and Mike Barnes all had development that made me see them as villians but ultimately sympathy for why they are that way. This characters death felt hollow cause I never got that developed sympathy for him.
Same. Whatever else he was, a teenage boy died a very horrible and public death. Nobody deserves that over a karate tournament. I don’t know how people can feel nothing about it.
You say lack of empathy give it a chance he had only died a few seconds before it ended
@@KCohere33says who. Give them a chance to grieve for him he only just died
@@garyclarke9685 Who are you talking about? Not the commenter who literally said they have no sympathy?
The Russians and then The Irish(who were previously stated to be rowdy and always looking for an excuse to brawl) were the ones to run in and start the fight. The other dojos were mostly fighting each other because as we’ve already seen all these teams know and have animosity with each other, from previous years and this year, so it’s not like they were gonna run from the fight that their rivals were starting. However, we do see Miagyi Do and the Spanish(yellow) mostly just fighting to defend themselves and helping each other take down the Russians.
I wanna know why an international fighting tournament has ZERO security with experience in crowd control!?
This show has always emphasized redemption is possible, both in past (Johnny, the original Cobra Kais, Chozen, Mike Barnes) and present (Robby, Hawk, Tory). That anyone can grow past their violent ways given time and effort. But now Kwon will never get that chance.
The announcer is actually from The Mighty Ducks 2. He was the rival Hockey team and main villain.
The last 15 minutes was filled with chaos and rampage
Y'know, last episode you guys talked about Kreeses "snake killing knife" and whaddya know? It killed a Cobra 🤯😂
And I'm pretty sure you guys have joked that "it's a miracle nobody has died" so I blame you guys for this 😂😂😂
14:22 so the Russian who did the rock bottom is Britt Baker, a wrestler in AEW who is a MASSIVE Cobra Kai fan. She even had Martin Kove for one of her promos.
Nah, that's my dentist
Adam freaking NAILING the beaver tranq girl scout cry!
"God damn you, Bernice!"
You guys are F'ing hilarious love the humor 😂
I’ve been looking forward to this reaction to this insane episode specially at the end, it didn’t disappoint!!!! ❤❤
To me it was the best brawl I ever seen in his show lol I was crying literally standing up the entire time and I was actually sad when Kwon got hit. I loved it
Why every reactor is surprised when the camera keeps rolling during a brawl? I'll give an example, Riddick Bowe vs Andrew Golata took place at MSG. After a Golata got disqualified for low blows, he was attacked by Bowe's corner and it turned into a 20 minute brawl. The camera never stopped rolling. Boxers, judges, regular spectators and police were attacked. Bottom line the camera doesn't stop rolling because it's EVIDENCE. In this episode of CK, they just added exactly wat would happen at a televised event. Even the infamous brawl at a NBA game involving Metta World Peace, the camera didn't stop rolling
@waats1 All the cameras recording is quite different to them broadcasting, though.
My friends and I make the joke of, theyre doing it for their inner journalism. Being the guy who filmed a brawl might be great on my resume
These were teenagers, though.
@@crimsonghoul8983 yeah but, even all of the senseis got involved too
@@crimsonghoul8983 yes they are Teenagers.... but imagine in the "age of technology" where a kid gets "offed" and there's only eyewitness accounts. Kwon wasn't unalived by someone else it was his doing. All the cameras around someone had to catch Kreese pull out the blade. The tournament employees that were attacked. All cought on camera...It's a no brainer in any court.
I'm so glad you guys continued to do this. I absolutely cannot get enough of the ridiculousness that is this show. My friends who introduced me gave up at least two seasons ago!
What are you talking about? You've absolutely seen the Russian dojo and it's two sensei's before, in fact in the very last episode you watched. You literally commented about them.
oh boy, here we go...
You don't need to pretend that you don't like the show because it's silly, you can admit that you like it, it's juvenile, but it's a show that entertains like few others. And it's okay to like it. I like it.
it can be silly at times becuz its live action but i look at it as an anime
You know how long I been waitin fo dis
Dunno if it’s just me but I could absolutely see a room full of competitive teenage karate wildmen just breaking into a huge brawl started by the roided up Russians
Infact Id say its way more likely a brawl broke out here than a karate dojo storming someones property, breaking the windows, beating up everyone inside and breaking all the furniture
@@Fett411 Exactly.
I can't. In general karateka should have more discipline and honour than that.
And by "having honour" I mean, "not acting like a brainless thug."
i feel like the brawl is 2024, we can't have nice things and the gasoline is too close to the fire.
I bet you weren’t expecting that ending!
Lashy! No feet for free my guy 😂
Concerning Axel's crush with Samantha. Kindness is so rare these days, it's mistaken for flirting. Sad fact. And some people are so starved for attention, let alone affection, they cling to any little bit shown to them. And almost always to their own detriment.
I loved this episode! The overtop karate-ness is what gives it charm. ..I've accepted it as a live action anime, way back in season 2 when Tory really announced she was gonna fight Sam over the school intercom and the fight still happened 🤣🤣🤣
I love the bell when Johnny gets hit in the face. The voices that play when Kwon gets stabbed makes my skin crawl. It's like a mix of "Did that just happen?" and the souls of the damned. Quite a few other sports have left the cameras rolling during huge brawls, especially basketball and baseball, so it's not particularly that unusual. One time the stands in a soccer match burned down and they kept the cameras rolling through that too. The lady who played the lead Russian was Britt Baker from AEW. The release date for part 3 has already been announced and I am so hyped for it. It really can't get here soon enough.
Miguel had the crawnch but Kwon got the schank, the Valley dojos can't go one year without a massive karate brawl
FYI: Malice at the Palace. NBA Pistons vs Pacers One of the biggest brawls in the NBA that spilled into the audience. That karate fight felt like that...
I gotta tell ya out of everything out rn I was waiting especially for this reaction 😭🔥hell of a mid season finale🫡
Yes, this show is so goddamn ridiculous, but dammit it's a wild ride.
I love the series, this season I'm overlooking so many things, lol.
But we have to recognize how Kreese's knife was well placed in the series' mythology, I mean, it's been mentioned since Karate Kid 1, right?
OMG! We've got dead air on ESPN8 THE OCHO!
23:08 mixing Miguel with Harry Osborn was diabolical lol
2nd greatest Christmas gift lol.....i love this show with you guys!!
That battle brawl at the end was just a bunch of sore losers 😂 So funny
Go back to the late 90s and watch some of the Red Wings vs. Colorado Avalanche games. All players fighting, even the goalies.
Don’t forget about Malice at the Palace
I assume this tournament will be canceled and we'll do a time jump for next year's tournament.
That said, no one was beating Axel. Robby and Muguel need to go back to the drawing board.
The ONLY issue I have with these episodes is the set up for the big brawl. The eliminated teams are apparently allowed to stay and watch but Cobra Kai was clearly packing up to leave? And then the Russians were also allowed to stay even though they were disqualified? They should have been the ones to get leave. Its a poorly handled set up. BUT the brawl is so damn good and consequential that I can let it go lol
All of the teams have been staying to watch since the very beginning. Cobra Kai were the only ones we see getting ready to leave because they were more angry about their loss and had no interest in watching. It also makes sense that they would want an audience since no non-dojos are allowed inside the arena.
Since the season 1 all valley, all dojos that were eliminated always stayed until the very end
Just binged myself and immedietly came here to watch your reacts! As always love them so much, but man, y'all gotta watch without needing to react cause you keep missing things LMAO. I will say this season has definitely leaned in far more into the camp than normal, I think, and could have pulled back on some of it, but overall, here's hoping they stick the landing!
Am I the only one who just wanted to see the tournament play out? LOL this all out brawl was a bit too much for me.
I love you guys so much, but sometimes I think Adam has selective amnesia while watching Cobra Kai. the Russian team has been around this entire time, and we've even seen them fighting some of our main cast members during the tournament. 😅
I completely agree. I feel they were really over critical with this reaction. Everything made sense. Maybe because they are invested in so many other shows idk.
"Pocket curtain." lol
To answer your question Jay, Gunther is the Iceland coach from Mighty Ducks. 2
If Kwan grabbed a camera, he'd be alive!
Omg it is the Dodgeball deus ex Machina . 😂😂😂😂😂
It’s the Fonz jumping the shark 🦈 😢
Ah ha! You used my clip suggestion!
7:48 well the advice was taken.
CHOZAAAAAAAAIIIIIIII ❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
The “cut the feed” line came late obviously for dramatic effect. Have people forgotten that? Story wise may not make sense, but it does here.
Aw. Sad to see you guys running out of karate juice to believe in the karate nonsense with full hearts. Hopefully part 3 has something that can bring you back. :(
The reason the camears were still on is because they were hired by SIlver, he made a phone call while Kreese was waiting around the corner the scene before the Russian team got Disqulified
When are you going to do the what if serie
We are following Miyagi and Cobra, but the other dojos and teenagers also have beefs of their own, specially the ones that were eliminated, they want revange against who eliminated them...
15:08 🤣😂😅😆
To be honest, the reaction to 6x08 and 6x09 was much better from you guys, I was kinda surprised by the reaction to this 6x10 episode.
I with you guys. I enjoyed this episode, still, from start to finish, but, yes, the brawl definitely exited the realm of believability. There have been some crazy fights on this show, but they always just skirt the edge of being unbelievable. This took it further than I think they needed to go.
Dublin Thunder got involved because they are Irish.
Even though Christmas is over I recommend DreamWorks rise of the guardians.
Skeleton crew ?
The Miguel x Axel rivalry in part 3 is coming. I can't wait. 🐍🐍🐍🤌🤌😎😎
Great commentary but the tournament won't be over. Based on official clips for part 3 it continues!
Jay’s laughter. 20:32.
Not happy about this one. It was an uncomfortable laughter.
Why would you cut the feed, so many people would be tuned in lol
This is like when fast and the furious went from street racing to vehicular warfare. Things get too over the top and it's no longer believable. This even more so. An entire brawl would end with everyone arrested and every tournament cancelled. None of this is remotely believable.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who realized how ludicrous this season has been. I love this show, but I don't know what the fuck happened this season. The Sekai Tekai was so built up only to be ridiculous.
You've watched five seasons of this ludacris show and now you think the season is too ridiculous?
😂😂😂
Okay buddy.
Yep. Theres a fine line between outrageous but believable for Cobra Kai and then just plain fantasy Cobra Kai. I hope this all ends up being the fever dream Kreese has from his Cobra bite and he leaves the cave a changed man like Scrooge after the 3 ghosts visit him.
@ it has been and that’s been it’s charm. This season not so much.
Each main character has target on their back:
Johnny being targeted by Wolf
Daniel being targeted by Dennis
Miguel being targeted by Axel
Robby being targeted by Kwon and Cobra Kai (except Tory)
Sam being targeted by Cara (female captain of Dublin Thunder)
Tory being targeted by Zara
Hawk and Demetri being targeted by Tiger Strike students
Kenny being targeted by Redentores students
Devon being targeted by Dublin Thunder students
Kim being targeted by Tiger Strike sensei’s
Terry being targeted by Kreese
Miguel was also targeted by a couple of west and warriors
@ Yeah, I noticed it.
I can understand the logic of the chaos.
We have three problematic teams, Cobra Kai who thinks they are the biggest, best with Kreese as sensi, then we have Dragons with sneaky Silver as owner and bad news Sensi Wolf last but not least steriod Russians clearly that they will cause problems. The explanation that they didn't stop filming was that it was Terry's media team and they were waiting for signs from him but he was interrupted before he could tell them to stop filming I guess
Wait, do we know that its Terry Silvers media team? That would explain that little hand wave while he was walking away but, I don't think we've had any sign that they were his cameramen
@@isaactheworshipwarrior6687 episode 10 when Kreese follows Silver to take him down we see Terry saying to Wolf and Dennis "perfect my media team will be ready
SPOILERS :
Kwon had to die even if he was the best because it is actually a set up for part 3 where miguel will be the cobra kai captain
Slightly desensitized reaction. Keep in mind a KID was killed. Albeit a slightly psychotic one, still a kid. Yes it's a tv show, but still unnerving to watch for me at least being a viewer that immerses in the story of a film/tv show. To each their own I guess.
They’ve gottrn so damn annoying honestly
part of that is probably due to this being cobra kai. the show is so absurdly goofy that this isnt a wild thing to happen
Hard to feel sympathy about a character, who obviously isnt a kid, who had no development and might as well have been an extra. I felt more for the guy Daniel turned the dog on at the cages.
@ Fair enough
Please tell me it's over 🙏
"I dont believe it". Yep, exactly my feelings. I love the Karate Kid franchise, and was very invested in the Silver, Kreese, Daniel arcs and loved last seasons end. There were consequences and over they top but believable because of investment in personal dramas and vendettas. But this season has felt disconnected and lost in trying to do something more. Sometimes something less is better. Doesnt mean the stakes are less, just not unbelievable. I would rather see real character growth resulting in a life trajectory for each character, esp Johnny, then Daniel, that takes them into the future in a way that is satisfying, real, and ultimately honoring Mr. Myagi all the while being distinctly Daniel and Johnny's version of Myagi-Do.
React to squid game season 2 if possible
Idk how people watch y’all reactions
Dodgeball watch along?
You guys are sooooo wrong! One key conflicy was resolved, Robbie and Quan(sp)
Lol. True!
😀
Best ending to an episode of all time.
You guys talked a lot
I hope they filmed a scene where Kwon survived and they re-edit it all and add that scene in instead
That was terrible writing!
As far as sports brawls go, I wonder if this had some inspiration?
