Shambhala Front Row On Ride - POV PortAventura

- Take a ride on the tallest roller coaster in Europe, Shambhala at PortAventura in Spain. The ride stands at 76 metres tall with a stunning first drop of 78 metres into a tunnel. The ride has 3 trains each holding 32 passengers and opened on Saturday 12th May 2012.

You have every right to be scared lol. The harness is just a lap restraint - a green block clamps the top of your legs down and your top half of body if free!! Brilliant ride :D

This roller coaster is amazing to me every time I go on it and the views are magical.
Me and my friends went on this ride back in October, it was funny cos everyone on the ride had their hands up and when it came to the tunnel, everyone suddenly put their hands down then back up when we were out.
makes me want to go shawn you captured this so well. iv only ever been to florida, i need to explore can i come :)

BTW....How many parks are there in Europe? I only know of a few:
Thorpe Park
Alton Towers
Phantasialand(if I'm correct)
Drayton Manor
Paris Disney
of course... Portaventura
I'm sure there are many others that I'm currently not familiar with, so if ya can, please feel free to fill me in on the rest, for I plan on taking a trip to that side of the Atlantic Pond to experience some of the thrills that European theme parks has to offer.

Hello Shawn i would like to ask you why this coaster makes it into your top 3 ?
I have not riden this ride only watched the videos on you tube but knowing how much you like your theme and overall experiance this seems to have very little . The first drop looks awesome and it looks like you get plenty of airtime but why do you like this so much compared to disliking the big one ?
The amount of airtime on this coaster makes it for me!
I love high fast coasters and this is the best i have been on. the video does not actually do it justice. Plus you have a feeling of weightlessness as you're riding, almost like you're free. I loved it. We are going back to Salou for a weekend, just to ride this!!!! That is how good it is!
i hope you have fun ill just make do with Thorpe Park this weekend .
I have never ridden the big one but have riden many other coaster around the world as far as oz and Florida. For me this is so fast and so much air time as well as the fact that you are essentially heals in by a lap bar.
Can't pin point a reason but for me I think it my new favourite coaster!!!

Is there things in the ride station that you can keep your bag? Like on nemesis there is cages for you're bags to go while you ride.
