I acknowledge I didn’t play great this vlog but it made for some BANGING entertainment for you all so before all the goobers come flying into the comments to let me know that maybe just sit back and enjoy the show?
Watching videos like this makes me realize the insane variance in poker... sometimes things don't go your way and you start questioning yourself, then other times they do go your way and you think you're the GOAT
So true, having the hot seat sometimes feels like you can’t lose. That’s why I believe discipline is so huge for me. I truly believe there’s going to be days you just can’t win at the table based on how the cards fall
I'm late to the party Gary but I didn't think you had said last call.. lol! The energy, passion, and love you have for the game is why I love watching your vlogs!! #letsgo!!!
Good lesson to learn from the KJo call… Once a player has suffered a few bad beats and is visibly steaming to the table, large, “aggro” bets and all in shoves become increasingly value heavy. Obviously there are some exceptions here by player type but I think in general you’re going to run into a lot of value after calling a suspicions overbet or all in from an openly tilted player. May have missed some live tells on this hand too Gazzy. As an observer, watching him aggressively slam the bet down and push the chips forward made some alarm bells go off… his hand motion alone was giving off “I’m fed up and frustrated” which is exactly the image he wants to give off (if rooting for a call.) Enjoy the content as always mate.
2:20 hard to do in the moment, but we should always be mindful of the stack size of the shorties and to 3-bet to an amount that allows us to 5-bet if shorty 4-bets all-in.
@@dalekerr5091 do you propose I demand on an exact count of his chips so I can calculate the exact size of my 3bet so I can then 5bet jam if he 4bet shoves or do you think maybe that makes me look like a cunt so I should maybe just eye up his stack and do my best to get it as close as possible
Hi, I would like to understand your thinking with the QQ, I understand the way to play passively and flatt call the 3bet however when the original raiser 4bet 1100 I don't understand how you can go all in and hope to get called by worse ( btw I understand even less the call with JJ )
I think the shove is the best part, and the flat call with QQ is the worst part 😆I played it badly first but the shove is good, he can call AK and JJ and that's enough for QQ to be good there.
Yesterday I played 3/1 limit holdem at my local casino. I bought in for $60 in chips and left with $99. It was only my 3rd time playing and I’m still down $112 all time. I chose limit holdem because I am still trying to learn but seeing our guy down $13K is a real eye opener.
@@garyblackwoodpoker Because when mentioning that a pot is the biggest you've ever won in terms of chips, its size seems highly pertinent. You don't think it's odd to not mention how big it was? Especially considering you're trying to grow the channel... the general audience (fish) loves this kind of stuff. So, how big was it?
@@spamrobban I don't think it's odd at all. What I think is very odd is that every other viewer accepts it was FAR too big to count in terms of chips + the game was breaking and they understand that. You on the other hand are trying to be as nitpicky and difficult as you can. Stop being a weirdo.
@@garyblackwoodpoker Very surprised and disappointed by this response, Gazzy! Being one of your biggest VLOG fans I was simply trying to give you some feedback while asking a question (which you've now ignored twice). I even included a compliment at the end of my first comment. Why are you being so defensive? I don't understand at all where you're coming from. I am not being difficult whatsoever... you on the other hand are being both rude and difficult for no apparent reason. I didn't know it was possible to be so triggered by being asked such a simple question. The point of my post was not to be nitpicky - I was trying to help you grow your channel. Had you responded "the chips were too many to count" I would have said "Gotcha!" and the conversation would be over. Instead I will now be unsubscribing to your channel (and thus not upvoting/engaging with all of your videos) as well as stop upping your 2+2 thread with praises. What in the actual fxck just happened? YOU'RE the weirdo.
@@garyblackwoodpoker Interesting, to me it seemed strange because nothing worse seems able to call, maybe AQ but you probably raise that more often than not in the straddle, wouldn't he just get called by better and open himself up to be bluffed? Can't imagine he calls a shove there
On the KK hand where the board is J33J wouldn’t you be trying to fold out hands worse than A high if you couldn’t beat it? If so maybe a bet is in order to target those hands when you have value? You could target A high or worse pairs and fold to a raise cause no one is turning worse showdown into a bluff.
In retrospect, how do you feel about the KJ call? Think you're ahead more often than not? Can't fault you for an exploitative play without being at the table. You think he has a lot of AX, 89, & 56 bluffs?
Well think of it this way: if you hadn't called him off with KJ, he wouldn't have triple barreled later when you had A3! Calling with KJ was actually a 4D chess move...@@garyblackwoodpoker
When you had A3dd your opponents bluff seems odd. Raise pre good. 74% on the flop in position seems huge, 48% on the turn seems fine, then only 37% on the river?? I think if he goes like 1100-1300 you would fold. 600 is a small sizing to go for value, so it kind of smells like a bluff from him with the mindset of “I can get all better draws to fold, but if I get called I won’t lose too much”
