Thoughts on All Star season 6 so far? 🤔
I honestly have never been more touched and inspired by a season until this one. I've always looked to Drag Queens to kinda teach me everything my biological mother couldn't. I've gotten such good advice just hearing this talented group talk about their experiences. It really is, in my opinion, one of the best seasons of Drag Race.
The best by far, mostly because of the cast alone.

Lol Trinity kept it real yet again. Class act and always grateful. Honestly one of the best seasons and best contestants of Drag Race.

As much as I hated to see Trinity go. She kept beating herself up and putting herself in that bottom spot. She kept saying “oh I’m next to go” “I have the rosy track record” “if I don’t win y’all are voting me out”. And when you do that you’re giving people a free chance to do that because that person already knows it’s gonna happen. And between the top 4. I think their thought process was between Trinity and Kylie. Bc Ginger and Rajah have done so well throughout the season. While Trinity and Kylie have the worst two track records. And one of them is beating herself up while the other one is advocating for herself. Trinity dug her own grave in that sense.

I cried so hard when Trinity was eliminated. I had such mixed emotions of being so proud of her, but so crushed that she went home.

Agreed, it's not the same when Ru is only picking a winner, that made no sense to me.
Based on judges comments, Ginger was 2nd best the last two weeks, but I also thought that Trinity did very good.

Man I was rooting for trinity to win from the start! I was so bummed when she was eliminated! Love her!
She was obviously great in the show, and she was my pick for winner, but I won't get in the "robbed" discussion, All Stars seasons usually have a big twist and these twists are not fair to everybody. I really enjoyed in this interview that she is now calm, and can show in her talking that she is eloquent, fair and smart. Truly a class act.
When TKB left I was gagged literally I smelled a stunt 😩
Nothing but respect for this group of drag queens! Trinity is a class act through and through. Only one crown, but the talent in that room is undeniable

I’m calling *rigormorris* on the season 👀, but the queens that have made it this far are amazing in their own right. Still sad to see Trinity booted out. It really feels like this whole “game within a game” was designed to boot her out in favor of ⚪️ queens.

She had a stellar showing on the show!! Not only did she fully deserved her two wins, she also was criminally robbed of a win in the half time show performance and (slightly less) during the pink table talk.
She had her lows, in ep. 1 and snatch game, but her other placements were entirely situational and did not actually reflect her performance in the challenges. If the judges and production wanted to, they easily could have given her yet another win in the drag tots design challenge or even for the monologue (yes the last one is a bit of a stretch, but we've seen the judges being very flexible and bendy the entire season)

TKB was one of my choices for Top 4....it's unfortunate that she was sent home only because that was her third time in the bottom, especially when she wasn't in the bottom, she either won or was one of the top girls. I think safes should be held against the girls too when it gets down to the last five girls. TKB was hardly ever safe, she was one of the top girls, and even if she didn't win, the times she was in the top should've saved her from being sent home

At 4:35 when she said “ a bottoms a bottom” I felt that…
It was riggory/robbery/bullshit that Trinity, who had been challenging herself and stepping outside the box all season, got sent home when Ginger was safe for basically serving the same thing since s7. This show never fails to make the wrong decision. Even based on the last episode, Trinity told a story about saving a fan's life, and Ginger told a story about her first pair of heels. Mmmmmmmhmm. Whatev.
I mean as talented as TKB is, we all knew she wasn't gonna win bc of her transphobic past. But what upsets me is there are 3 white and only 1 black queen at the top. I don't mind Kylie winning, bc finally having a trans winner would shake up the entire franchise. But it seems like Eureka and Ginger are mostly being kept to fulfill the possibility of the first big queen to win, even though Lawrence Chaney won UK Season 2.

@@TylersTake - If you add up all the seasons, its made up of white or white-passing winners. Let's also not forget that black queens were being used merely as stereotypical black tropes for entertainment, whether "funny & sassy" or "bitchy & ratchet", yet never enough to be winner material until Bob won her season. And then it went back to white winners.
It wasn't until the most recent seasons that RDPR has addressed the backlash and sought to get production to be more diverse in their imposed selections and manufactured narratives. That's why we're getting more brown, black, and trans queens in the mix, it's BECAUSE of people like me holding RDPR's get to the fire.
So don't try & censor me, by telling me I should be satisfied so that production can go back to white winners just like it did after Bob. That kind of patronizing and pacifying response is what we're trying to avoid. So relying on this weak argument indicates that you hold a myopic survivorship bias.
@@TylersTake - Btw I'm not even asking for a black winner, I'm talking about diversity as a whole. A white queen should win in spite of diversity in her season, not bc of a lack of it. Also, let me remind you that this type of drag exists only because of the black & brown LGBT community in my hometown of NYC.
Like most things created by minorities, it's being co-opted & gentrified by whites. Don't get me wrong, I love me my white queens, but that's bc we allowed them into our space. This shouldn't mean we should be pushed out of the culture we created.
I've been going to ballrooms & drag shows for over 15 years, and so I can see how stark the contrast is when watching the show vs what we actually see in the sphere of drag irl. As a drag-loving audience, we're expecting the show to reflect what drag culture actually looks like.

Literally, the worst interviewers I’ve ever seen. You start off by saying your sad to talk to someone? Really? Don’t make situations where you have to explain yourself to your interviewee. And then you seriously asked TKB if they wanted a piece? To quote Thorgy Thor, “Aww, Jesus. Gross.” That’s beyond unprofessional and just plain trashy. You’re paying these people US Weekly? I must say TKB really is a true professional and handled the whole season with class.

Every year there is some controversy and this year to me is how the show decided to rewrite history and give trinity the boot out of top 4. I loved trinity this season and I can really tell she learned so much from season 6 because she never had a single excuse for when she fucked up. She owned up to her bad performances, she was so genuine, I wished she won some coin but she had toughest assassins this season and I feel like it was on purpose. I love trinity, I want nothing but good things for her. Maybe one day, she can meet Jesus/Beyoncé because her Beyoncé was everything. My top 2 must rewind moment beside laganja’s entrance 2.0

I truly believe Trinity should have won that Superboel challenge. Jan did very well but Trinity ate that performance up!!! They need to go back to the old format with two top winners and have them battle it out! And if you’re not in the top but bottom bs is old!!!!!!! Not to mention unfair two weeks in a row! 😑

I'ma keep it real. Trinity should have stayed TOP 4. That's the T. Eureka should not have won the storytelling challenge. Trinity was the heart of this season (for me!), and I wish she'd have been through to the end as she should've been.

This season was definitely over produced but very entertaining!
TKB fell victim to Runanigans. IMO replacing TKB with Eureka was wrong. There were also several times when TKB should have been in the top, both for her drag and her talent. Silky, Eureka, even Ginger have consistently been playing a one-note character all season. And Ru always says she wants realness and growth from her best queens... TKB delivered on both, and for real. I'm genuinely disappointed in RuPaul for rewarding loud clownery and average drag when she says repeatedly she wants depth, intimacy, and uniqueness.

Her Beyonce should have won and I swear to got she could have won the talk show challenge. I am not one of those people who scream a queen was robbed and I am not a huge tkb fan but this all stars, I get it....she was robbed! What a sad departure.
No one but Trinity could take herself out of the competition... Why on Earth did she positions herself has the worst behind Eureka for track record. I wanted her to stop talking so badly. She pretty much said girls if Eureka does better than me then I'm going home. :(

I thought TKB was very negative and moody during every episode. I got tired of the pissy attitude early on .
I think queens do what influencers do know in days. They try to show themselves in as perfect a light as possible because they know the audience want to see a fantastical creature above the problems of everyday people. Yes it makes fans like you but being a person how is that gonna help you understand yourself when all you are is a performance for everyone else. Her attitude was what it was but I saw no problem with it from a human point of view.
I was routing for her until I saw how she acted interviewing the bottom girls when she won. Toxic and immature. I like her and hope she can overcome her insecurities and stop being so toxic.
