Loved this! I hope there's a second season. I've been very surprised with the pacing of the show, not that that's a bad thing for me personally. I was expecting Edward to be dead by now and then the whole Lady Jane Grey thing and then Mary queen by the finale. But that's definitely not the case, haha! I'm glad the show is taking the time to breathe and really focus on the political and court intrigue which I'm living for at the moment.
Keeping my fingers crossed so tightly for season 2 because Elizabeth and Robert's relationship is one of the BEST things about this show! Fantastic video as well
He married Amy Robsart because he had no other choice. Robert couldn't admit his feelings for Elizabeth at that time because he knew they could not marry-Edward would never allow it. To protect his heart, he married Amy. It would be so painful to everyday see Elizabeth and know they can't be together. When she became Queen they were still not allowed it but they could hide as Amy died. For years then he tried to marry her but she always rejected for state reasons. That"s why he ultimately married Lettice Knollys because he wanted to found a family. But Elizabeth was the love of life he loved until the end
