14 years ago I started with a company that told me if your family doesn’t come first you should not work for me. Still with that company and that’s how I live my life.
That's a damn good company. That's how it should be.
I’ve gone from an $85,000 a year job to an almost $200,000 a year job and now I’m going back to my $85,000 a year job to spend more time with my kids. Money is great to have but it’s nothing without the things that matter most. Even if it’s being present more rather than not being able to switch off from work.

Good on you Nick, 6 weeks before our last baby was born, the Doctor told us she wouldn't survive delivery and to prepare for a funeral, it was a nightmare. Fortunately, she pulled through great and was only at Primary's for 10 days, we got super lucky. That's the worst thing to have to deal with.

Best thing you will ever do. I had a heart baby too. We were in Uruguay and made it back to Shands in Florida. God provided and I was able to send a lot of time with her. Now working full time again it is hard but at least I'm remote so I can spend more time than if I was in office. Dont take it for advantage Its the perfect age to start a bond. Love the content. Keep crushing it!

my son was also born with a permanent heart condition and you have no choice but to concentrate on family life , yes it was hard and worrying at times but now he is almost 11 and doing good , baby b will be fine and you did right by stepping back for a while and focus on family , love your content , keep up the good work

hey man it's all about Family and if you can take that step back and the company is willing to work with you that is great. Covid helped me spend more time with my daughter and watch her grow. While Covid was terrible it was a blessing to work from home with her.
