I had a similar experience last year. Though I had of course heard of Fauré, I knew very little about his work - and then after listening to just a bit of it, I devoured everything: nocturnes, barcarolles, duos, trios, quartets, quintets, the opera Pénélope... And I'm still coming back to all of it regularly. Fauré is an amazing composer, his music speaks so directly to my heart.
Thank you for posting this charming piano quintet. I love the Faure piano quartets, but this is new to me -- bit more austere, an example of pure, delicate loveliness. Faure is a composer of incredible refinement and subtlety.
Debussy ? Le flamboyant Debussy ? Hors-concours... Hors-catégorie!

It's great to see that so many people, speaking many different languages, can all come to the same place to enjoy the same amazing work of music.
Yes, it's great!
I'm from Brazil
never heard of fauré until couple weeks ago, his nocturnes lured me into listening and i've never stopped, this piece is amazing

This is potentially the greatest chamber music work of the early twentieth century. I'm speechless beyond that point.
The only thing that calms me now is beautiful music.
Certainly touching the deepest level of within,so subtle as if one is passing through liquid silk

Well said: refinement and subtlety.
The second movement is composed of some of the most beautiful melodies ever created.
hahaha, but not dead here.
