Typical Arab Dish | How to make RICE WITH LENTILS | Simple Recipes

This is a simple and quick recipe to prepare, a dish appreciated for its flavor and nutritional value. It originates from the Middle East region and has become a popular choice around the world. We are going to make a delicious rice with lentils in the typical Arabic style.
Ingredients:
-1/2 cup lentils
1 cup rice (preferably long grain)
-2 tablespoons of oil
-1 onion chopped into small cubes
.2 cloves garlic, minced
-1 teaspoon cumin powder
-1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder
-1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
-4 cups of water
-2 teaspoons of salt (or to taste)
-Additional oil
-1 onion cut into julienne

Excelente receta,hace muchos años me enseñó a prepararla una señora Colombiana casada con un árabe.pero con carne de carnero o res picada y sofrita pero cocinada con el arroz .Es riquicima esa receta yo la preparo muy seguido

Hello Joan. Cinnamon is a spice widely used in Arabic cuisine. Its presence in the flavor of this dish is actually slight, but I must admit that you can taste it. You can choose to add less amount, half a teaspoon, and a little more cumin. And in the last case, omit it. But, go ahead and prepare this recipe, you will like it. Regards

Hola Blanca. La canela es una especia muy usada en la cocina árabe. En esta receta su sabor es muy sutil, puedes optar por usar un poco menos, media cucharadita. Te animo a que la pruebes!
