The ABC method is old.
This is the new way to manage children’s behaviour.
Introduced by the national autistic society, the star method is now being used by many early years settings to help better understand why a child may be displaying a certain behaviour.
This is all based on the belief that all challenging behaviour is for a reason, usually to achieve a desired outcome.
But, what is the star method and why are many early years settings using this instead of the ABC method to manage behaviour?
