Came here after seeing the live performance clip of this song. Sohyang's secular work has always been a precious piece of art for admiration and appreciation, brimming with intricately composed execution and shining with the aura of exquisiteness. When she sings for her faith, you can feel the sense of relaxation and the willingness to absolve of restraints but only to express her joy rooted in her deeply held belief. The feeling of exuberant excitement is palpable and infectious. I get excited from watching her performance here. It reminds me of her singing "Lean On Me" with Kirk Franklin, but more refined and at ease.

I made these comments to a reaction but I thought I might post them here as well to see if I could get any reaction.
"So Hyang and Petra make this exceedingly difficult (at least I think so) song look easy. These are all excellent singers using their God given talents to the max. There are a few language things that interest me. One is So Hyang singing "Look up the sky ...". I wonder if "to the" is normally left out in the Korean language or thoughts. Second, they sing "Holy, Holy Holy He will shower sin away". In the Korean mind, is this the same as "He will wash your sin away". Different words but same general thought. Last they sing "Oh freedom can you tell? Hold it up on your mind". What an interesting choice of words to convey the thought "Let the love of God always be on your mind". They also sang part in Korean and part in English, which is far from easy for most. All of these differences just make the song and its meaning stand out even more and separates "Freedom" apart from the rest. I think it's just brilliant!"
