I would pick the NES original Legend of Zelda. Not because the game is at all enjoyable by modern standards, but because the gold foil and large NES cartridge would make it more useful as a food source.
I'd go with A Link To The Past as the best choice because after you eat it you turn into a bunny and teleport to a parallel dimension which will allow you to get off the island!
Might be able to catch the attention of a passing plane or ship by making the gold cart shine the sun light at them, like with a mirror. Any disc game could do that too, but not a great food source.

@@KlutzTheKing Minecraft has the most replay value out of any game out there. It is pretty much impossible for you to replicate your old playthroughs if you start up new seeds. Every world will be a new experience.
@@KlutzTheKing I overall tried to choose some of the games I've put plenty of hours in and I personally feel like I could be playing for much longer. While I agree that there are a lot more games with more replay value, most of them are not really my style and games I wouldn't bother much with in the first place
When you are with Friends you gotta bring a Mario party. Yeah that's a good idea, ruin one of the only relationships you are going to have by stealing a star.
I don't get this. If you decide to stop being friends with someone after they stole a star from you in a game of Mario party, something's wrong with you.
My 5 games would be as follows: #1: Lego Star Wars, The Complete Saga #2: Minecraft #3: TF2 #4: Animal Crossing New Horizons #5: Pokemon Black and White 2 (Originally B/W 1, but I changed it because the replies kept on saying it should be B/W 2)
My list (only one game for the online allowed) 1: Skyrim: was literally the only game I played for 3 years straight use the one internet slot for mods 2: Dark Souls 3: it’s dark souls 3: Minecraft: it’s Minecraft 4: Pokemon Platinum: best pokemon, easily 5: Crusader Kings 2: you could play this game nonstop your entire life and still not have specific runs you haven’t done
Abdul I never had nearly as much fun with Minecraft mods as I’ve had with Skyrim mods, it was a choice between those two and the amount of fun I had with Skyrim mods won out
The ones I would bring 5. Animal Crossing: New Horizons 4. Splatoon 2 3. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate 2. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 1. Super Mario Maker 2 Idk if you have internet or not but idrc
My games (probably): 1- Terraria (My favorite game of all time that I can play nonstop for a long while) 2- Witcher 3 (I love the open world and the writting of the game, and there are still hundreads of things I didn’t do yet in the game) 3- Shin Megami Tensei 4 (a fairly short RPG but still an amazing game I’d be ok with replaying over and over again) 4- Zelda The Minish Cap (My favorite Zelda game along side BOTW and MM, short and sweet) 5- Super Mario Galaxy (My favorite Mario game, a game that puts a smile to my face everytime I play it) OR Smash Bros Ultimate (My favorite smash game that I’ve played [I didn’t play brawl or melee])
So as usual I’m gonna make a comment on a two year old video My personal desert island list (no online or game collections, no mods) 1. Animal Crossing: Population Growing. The slower paced nature of the original and the extra games Scott talked about make it perfect for a desert island 2. Terraria. Between Minecraft and Terraria I have to go with the ladder for a desert island, as class play through and challenge runs would make it great for a desert island. 3. Zelda botw. Although it can lose its magic after awhile, Zelda botw is the perfect open world for me 4. The sims 4. (With or without dlc) If you can’t return to civilization, you may as well make it. 5. Need for speed: Most Wanted. This game has a special place in my heart (the Xbox 360 version specifically) and I spend hours just running from the cops already. It’s not as diverse as gta, but I’d enjoy this game better. 2nd List (Online) 1. Roblox.(is this a game collection? I actually don’t know) Despite the really bad games on roblox, there are some great ones too, and you could never run out of games. From fully fledged rpgs like Hexaria, to games where you can plead for help the the rest of the world, like bus simulator, roblox really is a must have. 2. The google browser. No this isn’t a joke, google actually has tons of games. On top of the built in games, most game jam game is submitted via WebGL (or an existing equivalent), meaning you can play it in browser. 3. Minecraft. There are tons of servers to find on Minecraft, all you have to do is look them up with google (mentioned earlier) 4. Cooking mama 3. I’m already set with the other games so I’m just adding this because I STILL can’t beat it. Stupid toast and eggs >:( 5. Rhythm Heaven DS. Despite never having played it, I think it’d be a great thing to try on an island, and just because you have online, doesn’t mean you always want to play online Thanks for reading my dumb extremely late list (:

Tetris DS (It's my favorite Tetris game and I have more hours on it than Puyo Puyo Tetris, I think it is much more fun in terms of core gameplay) Compilation List: 1. Rare Replay (30 games including the Banjo games and Conkers Bad Fur Day I can't get bored) 2. Namco Museum Arcade Pac for Switch (the newer releases include Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 I can't get bored plus score chasing is awesome) 3. Super Mario All Stars + Super Mario World (for the same reason as Scott) 4. Ultimate (the online may be good on the island plus solo stuff is fun) 3. Minecraft (playing with friends will never get boring) 4. Tetris 99 (battle royale plus the big block dlc has marathon mode and 2p offline battle soon i'd choose tetris friends but we all know how that turned out) 5. oh shoooooot vr games are a thing
So as usual I’m gonna make a comment on a two year old video
My personal desert island list (no online or game collections, no mods)
1. Animal Crossing: Population Growing. The slower paced nature of the original and the extra games Scott talked about make it perfect for a desert island
2. Terraria. Between Minecraft and Terraria I have to go with the ladder for a desert island, as class play through and challenge runs would make it great for a desert island.
3. Zelda botw. Although it can lose its magic after awhile, Zelda botw is the perfect open world for me
2nd List (Online)
3. Minecraft. There are tons of servers to find on Minecraft, all you have to do is look them up with google (mentioned earlier)
4. Cooking mama 3. I’m already set with the other games so I’m just adding this because I STILL can’t beat it. Stupid toast and eggs >:(
5. Rhythm Heaven DS. Despite never having played it, I think it’d be a great thing to try on an island, and just because you have online, doesn’t mean you always want to play online
Thanks for reading my dumb extremely late list (:
