I hope he’s still there, diligently scouting.

I used to have a goose who adopted me as her mate. She wouldn't let anyone else come near me. She would climb into my lap and sit there for hours and she'd wrap her neck around mine and cuddle with me...she would nibble on the back side of my shirt to tease me and go crazy if I pretended to ignore her. Lautrec ( she was a Toulouse Goose ) was so sweet...I really grieved when she died.

Sorry I've forgotten the name There were testimonies from different people confirming that point. The one that got to me was a man who had 2 or three cats who, every time he went out for a while, would do destructive things. Pull off all the toilet paper from the rolls, knock items off of counters and tables, tip over water dishes etc. So he concluded, since this behavior ONLY HAPPENED when he was gone, that his cats got angry thinking he abandoned them. So he did an experiment. He started talking to them before he left like one would talk to a toddler. " Ok now I'm leaving for a LITTLE WHILE but I WILL come back. I love you. Don't worry. I'll be home again soon." Well you guessed it. No more destructive cat naughtiness. Since I read that I have been doing the same thing with my cat. She's always peaceful and doesn't seem to mind me being away. But she DOES start pushing things off surfaces if I don't play with her. 😊 I'm well trained.

I once lived on a property where my landlord kept two rescue donkeys in a paddock, right outside my front door... Coming home to two braying donkeys was a greeting I'll never forget!!
I Love Donkeys, I got to know them while working at Diamonds in the Rough rescue in VA. I'm So happy that I got to know them and learn more about them. They are the sweetest! Most are very loving like Hazel, if treated with love they Always give it back. Be patient, it's worth every minute you give.. they give back a million times more. If I had the space, I would adopt 100 !

They should go to local events and play music and introduce people to donkeys, and how loving and social they are. I had no idea that donkeys were so smart, so loving and such good pets. They could do some helpful fundraising and at the same time educate the public. They are so fun to watch.
Animals absolutely adopt their humans! My shadow, George, who is my golden retriever, adopted me. In fact, it's said I "rescued him" when in reality George rescued me. I had not decided that I would adopt him when he came over and sat on my foot. I knew then that we were meant to be with each other. Everybody who meets George loves him...and I can't imagine life without him. He's my buddy, my shadow, and constant source of unquestioning love. I'm the luckiest man on earth.
Same here. My brothers girlfriends sisters husband was getting rid of a bulldog and my parents decided they wanted him. I was living at my parents house by myself and so parents sked me to bring the dog to the house and to keep him there until they move back in and I move out. So picked Bully Bulldog and the first night he slept outside by the door even though he had a bed next to him 🤦. Next night I bathed him and he slept with me and I knew I needed him. I love my dog he gives unconditional love all day everyday. 😁 He still sleeps with me every night and he gets lots of belly rubs. That's my son❤️🎶🎼🥰

Donkeys are so cute. My daughter who lives in Bakersfield has a donkey. Her name is Lucille. When my daughter rescued her they had no idea Lucille was pregnant. Wellllll one day she had a baby donkey!!! OMG talk about CUTENESS OVERLOAD🤗

each animal has their own personality. Some dogs are aggressive, other dogs are so trusting that if anyone hurts them, they won't even fight back. I had a cat once, and sometimes.. even i think like a hour once, it sat on my lap like in the sitting position like a human for like a hour while i was playing my video game.
I had a Jack that was just as loving as this one. He followed me around everywhere I went and would cry when I left and cry when I came home until I came to see him and let him hug me.they can be as loving as a cat or a dog
My Husband had a Donkey growing up in Haiti named "Ti Mal" meaning little bad boy is the best translation. He would follow his Mom around and get "excited " when he would see her. His Mom was a missionary in Haiti and they used Ti Mal to go up into the mountains due to such rough terrain. I love your story and played it for him. Thank you for sharing your story....so sweet!

Yup. The example of animal understanding human communication that I like is----
years ago a book came out about animal intelligence. Sorry I've forgotten the name There were testimonies from different people confirming that point. The one that got to me was a man who had 2 or three cats who, every time he went out for a while, would do destructive things. Pull off all the toilet paper from the rolls, knock items off of counters and tables, tip over water dishes etc.
So he concluded, since this behavior ONLY HAPPENED when he was gone, that his cats got angry thinking he abandoned them.
So he did an experiment. He started talking to them before he left like one would talk to a toddler. " Ok now I'm leaving for a LITTLE WHILE but I WILL come back. I love you. Don't worry. I'll be home again soon."
Well you guessed it. No more destructive cat naughtiness. Since I read that I have been doing the same thing with my cat. She's always peaceful and doesn't seem to mind me being away.
But she DOES start pushing things off surfaces if I don't play with her. 😊 I'm well trained.

I once lived on a property where my landlord kept two rescue donkeys in a paddock, right outside my front door... Coming home to two braying donkeys was a greeting I'll never forget!!

I Love Donkeys, I got to know them while working at Diamonds in the Rough rescue in VA. I'm So happy that I got to know them and learn more about them. They are the sweetest! Most are very loving like Hazel, if treated with love they Always give it back. Be patient, it's worth every minute you give.. they give back a million times more. If I had the space, I would adopt 100 !

They should go to local events and play music and introduce people to donkeys, and how loving and social they are. I had no idea that donkeys were so smart, so loving and such good pets. They could do some helpful fundraising and at the same time educate the public. They are so fun to watch.

Animals absolutely adopt their humans! My shadow, George, who is my golden retriever, adopted me. In fact, it's said I "rescued him" when in reality George rescued me. I had not decided that I would adopt him when he came over and sat on my foot. I knew then that we were meant to be with each other. Everybody who meets George loves him...and I can't imagine life without him. He's my buddy, my shadow, and constant source of unquestioning love. I'm the luckiest man on earth.

Same here. My brothers girlfriends sisters husband was getting rid of a bulldog and my parents decided they wanted him. I was living at my parents house by myself and so parents sked me to bring the dog to the house and to keep him there until they move back in and I move out. So picked Bully Bulldog and the first night he slept outside by the door even though he had a bed next to him 🤦. Next night I bathed him and he slept with me and I knew I needed him. I love my dog he gives unconditional love all day everyday. 😁 He still sleeps with me every night and he gets lots of belly rubs. That's my son❤️🎶🎼🥰

Ya know...I feel sorry for people who have never had this kind of experience with a dog! I think we have dogs to teach us as humans what unconditional love is really all about.
I've seen other videos where somebody just stopped off side of the road and played a saxophone or some type of instrument to some cows and they all came over and listened to him it was so cute this is so marvelous this man that he's doing this you know animals like music too and they like the affection you give them.

Donkeys are so cute. My daughter who lives in Bakersfield has a donkey. Her name is Lucille. When my daughter rescued her they had no idea Lucille was pregnant. Wellllll one day she had a baby donkey!!! OMG talk about CUTENESS OVERLOAD🤗

The more I learn about donkeys the more emotionally impacted I become with these stories. I mean there's this connection that's deeper than we're likely to understand between man and donkey due to the maligned image (beast of burden, etc) we miss on just how committed to showing love they really are. each animal has their own personality. Some dogs are aggressive, other dogs are so trusting that if anyone hurts them, they won't even fight back. I had a cat once, and sometimes.. even i think like a hour once, it sat on my lap like in the sitting position like a human for like a hour while i was playing my video game.

My Husband had a Donkey growing up in Haiti named "Ti Mal" meaning little bad boy is the best translation. He would follow his Mom around and get "excited " when he would see her.
