Lydia, I enjoy your videos so much! Here's why: First of all, your style is so timeless and classic. You provide such substantial content in your videos. You talk about the quality of pieces and why you chose the fabric (i.e. merino wool for layering), and provide several examples on how to style one piece. You talk about the choice of footwear with your outfits and how to change it up. You talk about cooler temps and how to add practicality to the outfit. I could go on and on - You are SO very talented! I look forward to your uploads everyday so I don't miss anything! Remember, keep being you!
I was hoping you would touch on the very outfit that you're wearing. I do love the white/butter/navy combo. I also like grey/taupe/ shades as well - the earth tones. Thanks for the lovely /tasteful tutorials.
I don't have a capsule wardrobe (I'd never be able to limit myself), but I often use a capsule wardrobe idea for travelling, it means i can pack less, but still be versatile. I do use some of the ideas though - I do have a limited colour palette, its not all neutrals, as I love colour - I stick to navys, creams, reds, burgundy, and pretty much every blue, with the odd piece in warm beige. Reds and the brighter blues are accent colours, but creams, navy, and more muted blues are my mainstay colours. I do try and make sure my pieces will mix and match with other items, and I've definitely started asking myself if I have something similar before buying. I think my way of dressing, is like having several capsule wardrobes within one larger wardrobe - it works for me, even more so as I track how much I wear things (I can then try and work out why I dont wear certain things, despite them being perfect on paper).
Hi Lydia, I love all the outfits and ideas you showed. All so timeless and versatile. Ageless indeed as I’m also up in the 60s but easily can take your ideas on board and wear them. Brilliant as always looking forward to your postings. Thank you so much 😊
A 10/10 style video! Very practical and wearable pieces and neutral enough to work with other pieces in your wardrobe! These kind of videos are my favorites! Much love…❤🎉
I love how you encourage us to make the capsule wardrobe our own. I have a large bosom and wider shoulders, so turtlenecks never suited me. I learned that my version would be a fitted merino wool v neck cardigan or light knit sweater 🤗 Great tips LJ! And still relevant for this season (fall 2024)
I love your capsule wardrobe videos because it helps me see how to buy ONE or TWO pieces to add to the very small investment wardrobe I’ve got to try to expand my outfits a lot!!
I am confused by comments about coats dressing up or impacting an outfit in any way. I want my coat to look nice but to me it has little to do with what I wear under it. I put my coat on in my house, get in my car in my garage, drive to my destination & within 2 minutes, I am inside the building with my coat off.
If you forget about the number of items a typical capsule wardrobe has, I think you could definitely have a capsule wardrobe. I feel like your staples mix and match really well and you’ve such a cohesive colour palette. When I started with capsule wardrobes I tried to stick to the “33 items” but now I probably have more like 50-60 per season but they all follow the same style and colour palette and everything goes together. Capsules don’t have to be limited or boring 😊
I just adore cream knits in autumn and winter! 😍 My newest addition is one from Lilysilk in a cashmere and merino wool blend, super soft and absolutely gorgeous! 🤩 Love your videos!! 🤗
Hi Lydia, I am moving to London and I've be warned about bringing the right clothing items over. For example, it rains a lot over there. I would loveeee to see a video of stylish pieces you would recommend every person to have, if they live in London for all seasons.
You probably won't believe it but on average it rains more in parts of Florida than it does in London! You need to cover all eventualities when dressing for British weather but on average London has dry days over 70% of the year. Hope your move goes well, London is a hotbed of amazing fashion! 🙂
@JoR00ke Aw thank you for your comment! My friend who moved there last year warned me about having the right rain proof clothes and now I'm just paranoid haha. I'm from Toronto so I technically have clothes for all seasons. 😆
I live in the UK, and I have the following coats for the rain: For Summer rain (it can be warm AND rainy) you need something light otherwise you will get too hot: - a long, below the knee trenchcoat, it is lightweight but also stops me getting wet. Plus an umbrella. - casual - a lightweight Pacamac style jacket, with a hood. For Winter rain (It can be very cold and rainy, but we rarely get snow these days), so you need a warm, thick coat. - Smart - a below the knee wool coat, plus wooly hat, gloves and scarf - Casual - a padded (duvet) coat, the longer the better. Plus woolly hat, gloves and scarf I always try to buy coats with a hood as it means I don't have to take an umbrella out with me. If it is going to rain very heavily, I will take an umbrella but most likely, not go out unless I really have to :) Enjoy your time in London.
The styles are fun, yet the limited way to style wide, straight, boot length, jeans needing different kinds of shoes/ boots for each one is exhausting! Many people simply can't afford to spend more money on outfits. Not sure if many influencers can even relate to these issues... 🍁🙃
great video’ i would love a video as a follow up of this one on how to add on these basics as to footwear, belts, handbags im going through my wardrobe right now trying to complete the footwear missing especially with boots as flats or loafers doesnt always work with rainy days i know you refer to your other video but using these exacts looks and do a part 2 would be fun! also more affordable options for belts would be appreciated :) your input as to what everyone should have would definitely help :)
I've done this for the last few years and I can only recommend for its sheer simplicity ! Today's ensemble is a cream poloneck under a navy and cream varsity style V-neck sweater with dark blue denim jeans, black chunky boots and when I go out later I'll pull on a navy overcoat for added cosiness 😁
This was a fabulous video. Although, the sharpness of the video was lacking. It is so amazing how you can take this small amount of wardrobe pieces and make such wonderful outfits out of them. Thanks for the inspiration.
Can you make a video on how to make summery wardrobe feel more autumnal? I live in Southern California and the temperatures here in October are around 30 celsius. I still want to switch my wardrobe to feel more autumnal
Ηι Lydia!!!! Timeless but also limitless outfits, my kind of style. I reallyyyyyy need advice I have a very summery golden strapless saten dress i would like to wear for an evening occasion but i dont know what outwear to paiir it. Can you do a saten summer dress styled for fall video?
this is great! and, again, ty for stating the obvious - it is very difficult to live on 9 {give or take} pieces of clothing for years and years. while i don't want to own A LOT of clothes, i do like to include a few up-to-date pieces. if styles didn't change, no one would be able to sell clothes and retailers would go out of business lol.
Can you please give us some suggestions on how to wear mini skirts this winter (as warm outfits as possible, to deal with cold weather)? I'm running out of inspiration..HELP!
Love the pieces you chose especially the maxi skirt & oversized sweater and denim on denim. Living in CA I do have to make modifications we don’t have to wear as warm of clothing or full length coats but I can still use similar staples. 😊❤️
Lydia, I love your natural, healthy look. I'm so tired of deathly pale, emaciated looking models with flat, dirty hair. They look seriously sick! I think women would rather see normal looking fashion models. Maybe even - gasp! - smiling!
I just love your style, i am 70 and agree with everything. 👍😎🐈⬛🐕🦺
Me too at 73 😍
Likewise at 75
Yes! I’m 70 and would wear all these clothes because they’re so timeless.

Love these simple, everyday casual but classy staple looks. More please! xo from Toronto

In my 60s too, but I like Lydia better than most of the ones for older ladies, she dresses in the classic style.
You look stunning in some of these outfits. Great pairings as usual. Love your style and videos!
A 10/10 style video! Very practical and wearable pieces and neutral enough to work with other pieces in your wardrobe! These kind of videos are my favorites! Much love…❤🎉
This is another one of your best videos, love watching them and your choices are immaculate.

Just perfect! Absolutely loved it ❤
Thank you for this awesome video. I love the capsule wardrobe concept. I'm rebuilding my wardrobe with quality pieces.

These are boring … yawn
Fab video Lydia. Love your style so much😊

Always so classy, simple and chic. The way I like it.
You are so classy in every way that I’ve been longing for that new mic to match your talents 🥂🥂🥂💞
I just adore cream knits in autumn and winter! 😍 My newest addition is one from Lilysilk in a cashmere and merino wool blend, super soft and absolutely gorgeous! 🤩 Love your videos!! 🤗

I would love to see a closet tour. I have a hard time with my closet organizing thanks
Good idea!
Honestly loved the new audio.. you moved with freedom now, but the past videos were still very effective.
Great job, LT❤
I LOVE and I NEED your capsule wardrobe videos!
Love the jacket you are using during the intro! Where is it from?
I would also love to know! ❤
I really like your ideas- one more from me 😊 would wear the cardigan backwards.

@@DianaDang3sounds like you're already on the right track! x
@softsophisticate Aw thank you so much for taking the time to respond! I will use this for my packing list 😄
An extra like for being so diligent.

Fantastic video as always. I didn't see the first outfit - black jeans and cropped cream colored jacket in description box. Can you share please>!
Beautiful pieces, love your style 🖤

Love everything!!! For reference what size did you take in power coat(stunning) 🙏
Can you make a video on how to make summery wardrobe feel more autumnal? I live in Southern California and the temperatures here in October are around 30 celsius. I still want to switch my wardrobe to feel more autumnal

Always great..You have inspired me for 2 years now..Helped me realize I look best in minimal style...and a neutral palette!! Thanks ❤
Absolutely adore this type of content! Love your style and appreciate the streamlining of everything out there for this season 💗

Hi Lydia, would you say a roll neck is a no no when you have a big bust?
Can you please link where your black trousers (that you wear for the bulk of the video) are from? 🥺🙏🏼
No matter the age group we all het some inspiration from Lydia
Den navy rullekravesweater...er svær at findehåber det lykkes.Min sorte, hedder ofte navyblå😊
Can you please give us some suggestions on how to wear mini skirts this winter (as warm outfits as possible, to deal with cold weather)? I'm running out of inspiration..HELP!
What about denim jackets? Can you please do a video with do s and do nts for denim jackets

Hi Lydia, where are your jeans from in this video ❤
where are the pants from? the ones you’re wearing please
Lovely video Lydia , would you dedicate some time to good quality handbags .....bags that will always look on trend ❤ thank you
Any links to black carrot trouser you are wearing?
She does say they are very old Zara jeans
Awesome😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘
I am 5’3.5”. 125. Does the black coat run large or small?
Love this. ❤
Very beautiful.
Help!! I keep seeing an ad with you on advertising some trousers from daisy grace. Is it legit or not please??
I try wearing crew neck tee shirts and turtle neck, but I'm not a fan, I tend to lean more to boat neck and v-neck tees.. bummer, I know 😮
I notice your pants are all quit short. Where should they land compared to the ankle bone?
Yes please please can you guide us all on this?
Love the pieces you chose especially the maxi skirt & oversized sweater and denim on denim. Living in CA I do have to make modifications we don’t have to wear as warm of clothing or full length coats but I can still use similar staples. 😊❤️
Love your channel Lydia and super guidelines, however your Blazer appears to be a check weave/pattern and not a herringbone one.
At 4.57 she says "herringbone, check" so I think she means herringbone as an alternative.
In my opinion, barrel jeans look good only with heels.
Thank you😊
ARKET ships to the US FYI
❤love it
Denim shirt link does not work ❤
❤️❤️❤️❤️
❤❤❤❤❤
Waoo
👏💯
Okay, at least some of the alternative brands/pieces listed have bigger sizes. Otherwise is so difficult to relate as items are really unattainable :/
Lydia, I love your natural, healthy look. I'm so tired of deathly pale, emaciated looking models with flat, dirty hair. They look seriously sick! I think women would rather see normal looking fashion models. Maybe even - gasp! - smiling!
Capsule… not capsuAl
Love this video!! Where are the jeans you're wearing at the beginning for?
If you mean the black jeans, they're an old pair from Zara, she's mentioned them before.
