Hello Gayle, I am a retired technical writer. After years of creating manuals, translating books, and creating course materials, I’ve only had time to write short stories. Now, I am time to write longer works, maybe even a book? I keep creative notes all over the place. It would be nice to have somewhere special to record them. I remember going to the local COOP store on the little island where lived way back when, and making a bee line for a rack filled with Golden Books, and begging my mom for a new book. I was so young I was not yet reading so mom thought she could get away with telling me I already had the book I wanted. No such luck! Also, my mother had not yet learned English so when she read, she would make up a story based on the pictures in the book. Apparently, I never twigged to that. Now that she has Alzheimer’s, I cherish those memories. Thank you for letting me share that. Hugs from Helena.
I am loving the mosaic - I’ve watched several videos watching it done so guess it’s time to try it! 50,000 subscribers is fantastic but not a surprise, you are such a good teacher and so much fun to bring into my craft room every day! I love what your doing now, the bird got me! If I was to pick a journal I would pick a hard book cover filled with birds or even woodland animals. I can't tell you enough how much you've changed my mornings. Watching your videos every day with my coffee is such a bright spot in my very quiet, simple life. Hearing the joy in your voice when you talk about your husband, kids and grandkids also makes me smile because those are things that were not meant to be in this lifetime for me. I appreciate you and just know your channel will continue to grow. Now, as for what my choice would be, I really thought I would want a bee journal with a fabric cover. BUT that little blue bird on this mosaic cover has stolen my heart! So something eclectic in this gorgeous cover is it for me. :)

WOWSERS 50,000 is IMPRESSIVE!!! I remember when you quit taking orders for journals. I totally get it now that I'm partially retired I don't want to be under the gun for anything. I love your Boho, Fairy and your Little Golden Books. I love cloth covered books and/or lots of lace on the pages. My favorite colors are cobalt blue and majestic purple. The more I think about it the more I realize I would love any book that I receive from you. Since I got into the world of journals 3 yrs ago the only thing I've wanted is to have a piece of your Art. Although I am still an amateur at making junk journals I still enjoy watching. I have collected all this paper and stuff to start journaling but I am hard on myself and somewhat of a perfectionist. YAY Gayle! 50k is a lot of people who love you and what you do! I have been a fan well before you stopped doing custom orders, I am thinking close to 4 years. I look forward to watching and listening to you everyday, I would be lost without you! You are a bright spot in my world for sure. If I were a lucky winner it is hard to say what I would love the most, but after thinking I know... a cookbook 5 ring binder style. I have some very precious handwritten recipes from my Mom. I know many people do but the difference is my Mom had brain surgery when I was 14 & I took care of her until she passed at age 70. She had to learn to walk, read, speak, & write all over. Her speech never truely returned fully nor her ability to write without asking how to make certain letters. She left this earth almost 10 years ago now. I want some place special to keep the recipes she had pre-surgery as well as the very precious ones she struggled to write after. I am rambling Gayle and I am sorry for that, but you honestly make me feel like we are friends and that is something I charish. Thanks for the chance and good luck to everyone!

It was one of those special miracles last year, during Covid and lockdown here in Australia, that your channel came up in a TH-cam feed. I went in and watched and watched each one since. Gayle, huge congrats on 50,000 subbies! What a wonderful achievement! Love all your stories about work, family, gardening, etc. 73 qualifies me age-wise and I've crafted along with you for several years, though most of my crafting has been card making. Only recently have I begun making things for journals, like pockets, tags, and using 6X6 paper pads to make little envelopes and those tucks/flips using the playing cards. Oh, you got me started collecting dog related tea and playing cards. (I rescued liver/white English Springers for 30 years, arranged and even drove transports. I had my last 2 Springers when my younger sister passed and I got her 2 Westies.) It's now just Finnegan and me. He's diabetic and has cataracts but together we walk to the corner and back. We like sleeping during the heat of the day but enjoy the back yard later in the day when a sweet breeze ruffles the air. While the Johnny Jump Ups and even the Honeysuckle is done, there are squirrels, bunnies and frogs or toads from which Finn "protects" me. He can't see due to cataracts, but he makes a show of chasing after them anyway. Sometimes the big bumblebees too, though I think he was stung once and leaves them alone now. So many times I've gone to your Etsy store only to find your journals sold out! This custom journal giveaway is genius! I love the Mosaic and had a think about why it struck such a chord with me. Perhaps it's because it reminds me of stained glass which reminds me that my great grandfather was a German Methodist preacher and teacher of German language and literature at German Wallace College, which later merged with Baldwin University. My blood type is "high test" coffee

If my name came up from the drawing, I would like to have either a mosaic cover on a regular junk journal or a very feminine pink, lacy flowery junk journal-real padded and fat!! I just love you and your videos. Have watched almost everything that I could find and you have taught me a lot of ways to make things. Have tried-made two journals so-far. One is a sewing journal for a gift and the other is a "Birds of Britain" journal for my son-in-law. He is Irish and they live in Ireland. Hello Gayle, I am a retired technical writer. After years of creating manuals, translating books, and creating course materials, I’ve only had time to write short stories. Now, I am time to write longer works, maybe even a book? I keep creative notes all over the place. It would be nice to have somewhere special to record them. I remember going to the local COOP store on the little island where lived way back when, and making a bee line for a rack filled with Golden Books, and begging my mom for a new book. I was so young I was not yet reading so mom thought she could get away with telling me I already had the book I wanted. No such luck! Also, my mother had not yet learned English so when she read, she would make up a story based on the pictures in the book. Apparently, I never twigged to that. Now that she has Alzheimer’s, I cherish those memories. Thank you for letting me share that. Hugs from Helena.

I can't tell you enough how much you've changed my mornings. Watching your videos every day with my coffee is such a bright spot in my very quiet, simple life. Hearing the joy in your voice when you talk about your husband, kids and grandkids also makes me smile because those are things that were not meant to be in this lifetime for me. If I were a lucky winner it is hard to say what I would love the most, but after thinking I know... a cookbook 5 ring binder style.
I have some very precious handwritten recipes from my Mom. I know many people do but the difference is my Mom had brain surgery when I was 14 & I took care of her until she passed at age 70. She had to learn to walk, read, speak, & write all over. Her speech never truely returned fully nor her ability to write without asking how to make certain letters. She left this earth almost 10 years ago now. I want some place special to keep the recipes she had pre-surgery as well as the very precious ones she struggled to write after.
I am rambling Gayle and I am sorry for that, but you honestly make me feel like we are friends and that is something I charish. Thanks for the chance and good luck to everyone!

I can only imagine getting to 50,000 subscribers. I’m just now starting to think of starting a channel. I think you do some really awesome work. If I were to get a journal from you, I think I would want a 3 signature journal and I absolutely love Shabby Chic pinks and gold. I also love butterflies and would love that made with purples and pinks and beautiful sunset colors. I think my most favorite thing of all is the beach , so maybe a beach journal. I know…lots of ideas. There are so many in my head. Congratulations you are great!!

Gayle, I have been watching you since I first discovered your channel at the beginning of the pandemic. You have carried me through some of the most frightening and uncertain days of our lifetime. Just hearing your feelings and all about your family helped me to know that my feelings have been normal. All of your journals are interesting, but if I won (fingers crossed!), I would choose an eclectic journal with a mosaic cover like today's (beautiful!) with 3 signatures. I would use this journal to hold "ideas" much like you do with your idea journals. I have learned so much watching you. You were one of first the journal artists I began watching, and you gave me the confidence to create a journal as a gift to my daughter. I think a journal of some of your vintage, lace and doily digitals along with blue fern paper would be so beautiful. 73 qualifies me age-wise and I've crafted along with you for several years, though most of my crafting has been card making. Only recently have I begun making things for journals, like pockets, tags, and using 6X6 paper pads to make little envelopes and those tucks/flips using the playing cards. Oh, you got me started collecting dog related tea and playing cards. (I rescued liver/white English Springers for 30 years, arranged and even drove transports. I had my last 2 Springers when my younger sister passed and I got her 2 Westies.) It's now just Finnegan and me. He's diabetic and has cataracts but together we walk to the corner and back. We like sleeping during the heat of the day but enjoy the back yard later in the day when a sweet breeze ruffles the air. While the Johnny Jump Ups and even the Honeysuckle is done, there are squirrels, bunnies and frogs or toads from which Finn "protects" me. He can't see due to cataracts, but he makes a show of chasing after them anyway. Sometimes the big bumblebees too, though I think he was stung once and leaves them alone now.
So many times I've gone to your Etsy store only to find your journals sold out! This custom journal giveaway is genius! I love the Mosaic and had a think about why it struck such a chord with me. Perhaps it's because it reminds me of stained glass which reminds me that my great grandfather was a German Methodist preacher and teacher of German language and literature at German Wallace College, which later merged with Baldwin University.

Have tried-made two journals so-far. One is a sewing journal for a gift and the other is a "Birds of Britain" journal for my son-in-law. He is Irish and they live in Ireland.
