First lesson learned as a car enthusiast years ago was to always keep my OEM wheels... I regretted downsizing to 18" wheels on my FL5 so I immediately threw my stock wheels back on and enjoyed the car for another summer in stock form.
Loving the content. I just ordered some Matt black TE37 Saga S Plus wheels so this is timely. Will hold onto my oem wheels. Even just for flat tyres it makes sense.
will be keeping an eye out to see what wheels you going for next... btw i am shopping for tires and i want ad09 but my brain is telling me stick with ps4s for street use... what do you think of the ad09, my main concern is the heavy rain fall we sometimes get in Ontario during the summer and tread wear
So far the ad09 have worked well. I have gotten caught i the rain with them and they seem fine. Personally I don't like the looks of the ps4. Good in performance but not in looks.
Could use tire pillows to prevent flat spots. I got my Beyond GTs (white and copper) and have been contemplating whether or not to sell the OEMs. Decided to keep them, and might sell both Advan sets 😢.
That would come down to personal preference I think. People's opinions are very left or right sided. Some like myself will say te37 all day and some will strongly disagree. With oem your are stuck with one size and one color.

Agreed. Should def hold on to your oem wheels. FL5 oems look great!

Having a full size wheel on hand is always handy especially when you have aftermarket wheels that takes over a year to arrive.
fl5 aftermarket lug nuts size is 19 hex. same goes to spoon lug nuts.
Shoot you are right my bad. Thanks for correcting me.
Great tip now I don't have to worry about damages to 500$ lugnuts 😊
With a car like the type R, only people who will really buy the rims are other type r owners. But, they already have it too. So point in selling.
Yeah these are Type R FL5/FK8 and Type S specific.

I would sell the advans before the oem.
Just get Project Kics ling nuts and never worry about scratching your wheels
I'm not to worried about the wheels but more concerned about the lug nuts getting all marked up from the socket lol
What's the verdict on oem forged wheels vs other lightweight ones like the te37's
