Nice riding! Putting a few sports bikes to shame on that low revving, under powered over torqued beastie. Looks like a lot of fun. Up-shift was a brain-fart moment that can happen to anyone. Good to see neither the bike or the rider was badly damaged. Thanks for posting. It's always good to have a reminder how a silly mistake can happen to the best of us.
Beast of a bike. I have the Americanized version, the Warrior, since they never imported the MT 01 over here. Very good riding up until the crash. Hard not brake hard on uneven ground and slick grass. The brakes are almost too good as they can low side you if you use too much of them.
Love this motorcycle... it has such a charm... Yamaha... as always (that comment coming from a honda rider... no other Japanese bike has more soul than Yamaha)
Problem falling is you, putting the gear to high, not the infrastructure. I had 2 mt-01 and still have one. I will never ever sell it. From 200 bikes I had, mt-01 only really got me emotional. Very special bike needs very special driver. Not just rich kid but emotional driver which knows what the bike " R1 breaks, R1 forks, naked frame and back brige R1 ...
I share the sentiment to the bike. I have a second one now and she stays. Regarding the fall - of course it was my fault. First mistake was forgetting I was there to learn and starting to chase two 1L bikes that passed me. The rest followed and just piled on.
Nothing serious, I had to wear a sling for two weeks, but recovered quickly. Dainese suit did its job. The bike survived, after all the repairs looked better than before the crash. However, it was totalled two months later, a car crashed into me and I crashed into another car. Got another MT-01 now, couldn't go on without it ;)
@@MarJusz aww man that’s terrible... used to live in Eastern Europe... people don’t tend to be careful while driving there... that said... a car cut me inside a roundabout here in spain resulting in me being airborne... with my old cbr600 sold it afterwards didn’t even repair it :(

@@MarJusz it doesn't seem like you've been driving very recreationally😄 I did not write that you are a pro. But when you were already on the track and as a beginner you should have known that the central st. Is not it? I immediately took it off my MT, because sometimes I get good curves to drive them quickly, and the stand only bothers me and otherwise it bothers me more on MT than it uses. He can only cause a problem. If you hadn’t had it on it, you could have knocked down MT more and gotten out of the situation

Thanks! I switched to R6 the following season, but now I'm seriously thinking about going back to MT-01 - because of the fun this unhandy bike gives.
That angle is amazing

Awesome riding, and great video production, man! Thanks for sharing the crash, one can learn a lot from this as a beginner rider. BTW sweet bike.
Most people never show their failures... respect for those who do.

I think for grass tracking you should opt for a heavier treaded tyre for better grip. Otherwise high marks for the slide!
I fell so many times... happy and lucky to live and tell my stupid mistakes
great riding up to that point mate! :-) sorry for your loss and hope the bikes ok lol, and you too mate :-)
Thx! Dislocated shoulder and partly torn tendon, and the bike had only cosmetic stuff to be done. Healed and repaired quite fast =]
Cześć! Przykra sprawa. Mam nadzieję, że Ty ok i moto też ok.
Mam pytanie - czym nagrywasz i w jakim programie edytujesz?
Pozdrawiam!
Hej. Ja już prawie, moto też niedługo. Hero 3 Black, Pinnacle Studio.

Poor old MT-01. :(
Mt prowadzi się jak wóz strażacki z beczką wody.
Przy schodzeniu na kolano zamykałes opony w tym mtku?
Tak, bez problemu.
Central stander and race track🤦👎
That was just a recreational track day for fun. This was my street bike and I am not a pro track racer. Wasn't that obvious?
