One of the best mockups I've heard! Great work!
then you haven't heard the VSL mockup, it's far better than that, sorry bro! its coming the original so close..
@@memoryloss5093 Just listened to it because of your weird random responses to a bunch of messages, but this ones better than the VSL one so...
@@purplestar45 if you hear the Synchron Series you will change your opinion
No. VSL instruments are good but they sound like synthesizers sometimes!
Please send me the VSL mockup i want to show you why it is not good.
It may sounds more like a live performance but not for good.

Vader would say "impressive, most impressive".
This is fantastic and really sounds just like the original, great work, wow!!!
This is amazing. You really know what you're doing. The articulations, the mix, your sounds make it hard to tell it wasn't performed by a live orchestra. Well done my friend.
then you haven't heard the VSL mockup, it's far better than that, sorry bro! its coming the original so close..
Keep it up George! The way you make these songs sound is remarkable...
Excellent work! Thank you for the midi visuals, it helped me figure out that violin section at 2:53
Amazing!
Exceptionnel ! The best mockup ive heard ! Well job !
Excellent mockup! Superbly done!
Wow man! Just wow! The best mockup on yt I've seen so far.
It sounds even more realistic than mine ones ;)
Fantastic job!
Sounds really great! Thanks for posting this :-)
Spot on!!
Bro, this is great!
This is insane dude. Top of the line production,
Wonderfully done
Fantasticly well craft ! Un grand bravo.
Excellent, awesome thanks
Amazing George! Really impressive stuff right here! Well done! I most definitely get the feeling of the original score.. Keep up your great work!
Amazing work! Exceptional quality and realism!
Sounds amazing - great work!
OH GREAT MASTER, TEACH ME ALL YOU KNOW *bows on floor*
Great work
This is really well done! Congratulations!!
Wow!!!
Wow that's impressive fatnastic work !
Force was definitely with you. 👍🏻
Nice!
FOR THE EMPIRE !
Well done
WoW!!!
Imperial walk (space wars)
that is so much better than the version I did with noteperformer ,.
THIS SOUNDS EXACTLY LIKE IT! Where did you get the drums from?
then you haven't heard the VSL mockup, it's far better than that, sorry bro! its coming the original so close..
@@memoryloss5093Bro this Sounds way better than the vsl Version. I dont know which Version you mean but i listened to 3 different attempts with vsl pro synchron bundle. And this is what Sounds the best.
@@talnomix3164 most of the time it's still a lot more like the original than Spitfire
@@memoryloss5093 No Not really
@@talnomix3164 you really should wash your ears!
Just as good as the first time I heard it. Did you do all this by ear or did you have the score? This is so spot-on from the recording. Very well done.
Excellent video! If I wanted to do something similar, do I have to deal with copyright somehow?
OMG you make me purchase BBC Core :P
Hey, amazing mockup!
I think the strings in the intro are too quiet or the perc is too loud, you cant really hear the strings spiccato, in the original they really give the nice rythm with those quick repetations, but they are nearly inaudible here, what happend there??
Just: WOW! I have these 2 libraries and after hearing this I don't lnow why I purchased the Berlin Series yesterday. 😅 Great sound!
Did You use an additional reverb to make it even bigger?
I can almost see my conductor. The trumpets should cut off slightly more abruptly, but otherwise flawless to my orchestral ears.
dude HOW in the world does your computer handle all the instruments?!
So Im doing my own mockup and Im having a hell of a time trying to figure out 1:50 onward with all those flourishes and stuff. How did you figure all of that out? Is there sheet music that has all of that stuff? What was your method of programming in all the midi?
There is a free Orchestra midi.
Yes, use free midis, at least as a starting point. Also, John williams loves flutes, piccolo and additionally clarinets and/or oboes do ascending runs.
How did you change the background timeline in cubase?
🤩🎶👏
Wow, that is legit! Where did you get the score for this piece??
"Most impressive."--Darth Vader.
Excellent! Which instruments did you select from Abbey Road and are those ones a lot better than BBC SO?
Both libraries are great. In this mockup, the Abbey Road instruments are those with the (AR) in their name and all the other instrument patches are from BBCSO. Abbey Road One is a fantastic library especially its brass, the trumpets are outstanding, but it has mostly ensembles, so I use the BBCSO instruments and I layer the ensemble patches from Abbey Road the get a wider orchestral sound and the tone of the Abbey Road Studio which gives all the magic to the track.
This is so good, dude! So this was a mixture of BBCSO and Abbey Road?Just curious on the specs of the system that you're running to be able to handle these mockups.
My PC specs are CPU Ryzen 9 5900x, MEMORY 64GB RAM 3200mhz, STORAGE 1TB SSD EVO M2, 2TB SSD and 4TB HDD.
I am your father
NNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE
Fantastic! Must have taken ages?
Nicely done! Out of curiosity, which parts did you use Abbey Road One for?
Great mockup George. Please forgive the nerdy question, but how easy/difficult was it to blend Abbey Road and BBC SO?
Not so difficult. BBCSO is a dry library and Abbey Road is a more wet one, you'll have to balance the mic signals right.
@@GeorgeSoulas Great - thank you George
Excellent, how long did it take from start to finish?
My PC would catch fire.
I just got BBCSO. Is there some way to "load" this?
Nice. Which version of BBCSO did you get ?
If you got the Pro Version, it really needs an SSD drive to run properly.
Spitfire Audio gives an amazing SSD hard drive.
@@GeorgeSoulas I got the Pro version. I didn't get the drive from Spitfire so I had to pick up a new SSD drive because it had to be in NTFS format. When I asked about loading, I meant is there an easy way to share songs between Cubase/Spitfire users? Which isn't to say that I'm asking for your work I'm just curious if it's possible.
@@zofo264 Sorry man, I don't give or share anything of my projects yet. But you can always ask me anything you want, if you need help or some tips.
@@GeorgeSoulas Thanks. I think I miscommunicated - I was just asking if it's possible to share songs. I don't want you to give me yours. I know how much work goes into it. It turned out awesome btw :) Is there a midi controller/keyboard that you think works best with BBSCO? What did you use for this?
@@zofo264 I don't know what your hands have used to play with. There are a lot of great midi controllers out there. Some with hammer action keys or other with semi-weighted. But even a cheap controller can do work. It also depends on the budget you have. An 88 keyboard might be better for BBCSO but it will also be more expensive. I personally use Panorama P6, which has 61 semi weighted keys. This is the last think you 'll have to worry about. I always have to correct every note manually in my DAW, listening it again and again until I approach the most realisting result. The equipment is just to make your workflow easier, but never does the work for you.
unbelievable.....can i get the midi not
Thank God that the attacks still sound artificial. Orchestras would be out of business for film scores in no time if this had been solved.
And it is probably much faster to record a piece like this with a real orchestra than having to fiddle around with Spitfire until it sounds 80% real like it does here.
On the other hand, real orchestras cost money. Like A LOT of money
@@jeanderbar What a shocker! Having 80 professional musicians play music for 5 days is expensive. ;)
Spitfire is the cheese analogue of orchestras. ;)
Overall the sound and mix is really great but I’m not a huge fan of 100% quantization of every single note like this, or of having every single note’s length be exactly the full value as the note value. Actual musicians would not play like this, so it sounds a bit more canned than it could. For example, the high trumpet note in m 10 (actually the 9th measure of the piece with m 2 being the first actual bar of music) would not be held for the full value like in this mockup if it were played by an actual trumpet player (which I am actually...35+ years). It would be more marcato and it would be cut off, and not held fully until the start of the next note. Now...it would take forever to tinker with every single note’s length in a mockup like this, but I find that there are often key notes in the main melodic phrase that stick out like that one and scream to have a tweak done to them to humanize them a bit more. But anyway, yeah, sounds really, really good!
Don't forget these are samples, there are not real musicians and it's almost impossible to emulate the real thing. The mockup is not 100% quantized, it is close enough but not 100%. But thank you for your advices, I really appreciate the honest critisism of an experienced trumpet player as you.
@@GeorgeSoulas I know that, I do mockups too. :) That’s why you have to humanize some things to make it sound even more realistic, like an actual human was playing it. The midi data in the video looks extremely quantized and uniform, hence my comment but again, it sounds awesome. Amazing technology we have at our hands these days for music!
@@tjp1451 Thank you. I find your point of view so interesting and I totally agree with you in everything.
If you also make mockups , I would like to see one. Maybe you could start uploading something .
@@tjp1451 Another think to take into consideration, I also do mockups and while my notes are all fully quantized (the starts, not the ends or lengths), I also configure all my tracks to have some degree of randomness on the start position. That compensates a lot. But I agree that lengths must take into consideration the human playability. Slight tempo changes are also amazing at making things less robotic.
from what midi did you make this?
All samples are from Spitfire Abbey Road One and BBC Symphony Orchestra
Δεν θα σου πω ότι το χεις.Αφου το ξέρεις και μόνος σου.(ότι το'χεις)...Συνεχισε έτσι.
Ο Πολυδουρης θα ήταν περήφανος για σένα.
Ok who are the 3 dislikes
They need to be arrested immediately. Lol
Very analoggy.:》
Great work! Are the Trompete from Bbcso or abbey road?
Trumpets are from Abbey Road. I just layered the BBCSO Trumpets to make them sound bigger (in lower volume, just to get the mass I miss from Abbey Road One)
@@GeorgeSoulas I got bbcso core and the difficult part is to get the multi tongue sound right. With staccato it isn't quite satisfying. And with multi tongue articulation you can't control it very well... Maybe you know what I mean. Is it better with abbey road?
For me, Abbey Road One has the most convincing Trumpets out there. They are the highlight of the library. Definitely closer o the sound of John Williams. All the brass section of Abbey Road sounds almost identical to the brass you hear on Star wars and Indiana Jones.
