It's always great when a spokesperson comes out and explains why's and how's to use their products. Cause that shows that they care about their customers and don't want them to fail when they using it.
We have all your seasonings! I would love if you could arrange a guest cook with Cowboy Kent!!! You two are my two favorite cooking channels on TH-cam and you guys have enough in common that it would be amazing!!!
This is why I support and will continue to support Matt Pittman and Meat Church. Here is the CEO and founder of the company taking the time to explain, in detail, the why's and how's of his products. Oh and btw, I own all of his seasonings and they are the best I have ever used. This is coming from a 59 year old, grill fanatic who is a veteran Texan. Thanks Matt for all that you do!
Here's one for the books: Currently on vacation in Sweden. Walked into a local butcher shop (KOTTFABRIKEN), which carries US Creekstone meats. Bought an 8 kg brisket. What's that on the shelf? Meat Church Deez Nuts Pecan Rub! Talk about d-i-s-t-r-i-b-u-t-i-o-n! Congrats Matt!
Fun fact for me, I purchased Holy Gospel before I ever watched one of your videos and loved it. Came across one of your videos when I got my first grill and now seen every video I think and have almost every seasoning. Love your videos and your seasoning.
And this is why I support and purchase from you guys. The way you show just how much you care about the products and the consumers seems to come through in your videos. Thanks for the time and energy you put into all of this. I know it’s your business and your livelihood, but it just seems like it’s more than that with you. Again thank you.
Love this explanation! Agree these rubs are versatile and I use them often amongst my pantry of options. Last night did Chicken Thighs with Blanco and Texas Sugar. Worked great!
I’ve been wanting this episode!!! Can’t wait for part two. I think I’ve gone through them all on various cooks and they do not disappoint! Thanks so much Matt for all the info, videos and of course the great products. And of course Roll Tide!!
Matt Have you considered putting a one/two page synopsis on what each rub can be used on. A go to sheet when I’m doing ribs, pulled pork, chicken, beef, burgers etc. Love your presentations and presently have many of your tubs.
I love using your rubs and have showcased them on many of the videos on my channel, but I really loved learning more today about the names and logos. Can’t wait to hear more in the next episode.
Just got my fab 5 pack delivered today, been buying a few seasonings at my local store but they only have two or three, so I’m excited to try some new ones. And quick shipping. So far have been my go to rubs. Keep it up
After much experimentation, I've discovered that Holy Cow is also my favorite Bloody Mary addition. A little sprinkle on top or around the rim of the glass is perfect.
I really needed these explanations. I’m brand new to pellet smoking and had no background in using rubs. Everyone seem to have one they were trying to sell, so it was just easiest to say salt and pepper was sufficient. your video will make it more interesting too. Try some different flavors.
I had to come back and add another comment. Tried the honey hog on chicken and it’s an absolute hit! Best seasoning I’ve found for chicken. Whole family loves it, would have never though about that
Brilliant Matt!! ONLY seasoning that's used in my house down in HTX. I also take bottles back home to Scotland with me for my friends that grill, they love it too. How they rank IMO. 1, Voodoo 2, Texas Sugar 3, Holy cow 4, Gourmet Garlic & Herb 5, Dia De La Fajita
It’s like you answered my prayer Matt!! I love these seasonings and my wife is always telling me to get more of the holy gospel, cause my kids love it on their proteins
I love this. My 4 year old daughter is hooked on meat/bbq/watching food videos on TH-cam and you've become a staple in our house. She gets excited when I made brisket or ribs because she knows what we are seasoning it with. Good job fellow Matt, you've done well!
I am a follower for some time now. Purchased some of your seasonings lately for the first time. Since I am from and am located in Germany your stuff is really hard to get over here. Nevertheless I am a huge fan. Amazing seasoning (apart from the killer videos you provide). Never had rubs before that worked that well and tasted that GOOD. Can't wait to try them all! But you guys need to ship to Germany too please. Or and that would be my favourite: please open a store in Germany! In any case, please don't stop delivering this excellent products! Greetings from Germany Can

Holy Cow and WOW!! California tailgate tip as we start the Chargers season against the Raiders next Sunday. This blew up last season on Thunder Alley someone asked me to cook up 12 tri tips. What to do? Sous Vide them overnight as we move out at 5:30AM. I coat pretty heavy with Holy Cow and vacuum seal the tri tips. Once we load up the bags of tri tip go in a cooler. When we are ready to wife up I open one at a time and sear on a flat top with some more Holy Cow and slice for Tri Tip sliders on Kings Hawaiian rolls. I even will by tri tip bulk at Restaurant Depot and coat them with Holy Cow and vacuum seal for the freezer. Ready to pull out and right into the water bath. This weekend I have been processing tri tip for the season and already have about 20 in the deep freeze ready for action. Just bought the Meat Church flag I will be flying that over the tailgate and have a patch on my Chargers jersey. Holy Cow for the win on brisket and for sure tri tip a California thing.

A couple months back a buddy and I rode motorcycles to Waxahachie to visit from a small town (Conroe) just north of Houston. Sure...it was 180 miles one way and I could get most anything I want at my local Academy but what's the fun in that. In any event I spoke with a customer who had three jars of Deez Nuts seasoning under one arm and said he used in on chicken so I bought some. It is my go to on smoked chicken and my family goes crazy for it. Now like The Gospel and Holy Cow I buy it in the bag and seperate that into smaller packs basically big enough to fill a shaker jar and seal them in a chamber vac. Excellent work Matt. Love your stuff and appreciate you telling us the history of the seasonings. Keep it up!
We love all your seasonings Matt and even more so because you and Ron took the time to send me a shout out Facebook video a year ago when I attempted my first Beef wellington using your recipe. Great job and cool to hear the stories behind them.

Awesome video man. I am in the process of developing my first rub. I have a manufacturing company, logo and all designed. I will never compete with Meat Church, but it has been a fun, learning process. Looking forward to Part 2!
I love your rubs and videos. Also had the opportunity to visit both retail stores in Waxahachie all the way from Wisconsin! Actually saw Matt in the store one time but didn’t want to bother him. Great stuff…..keep up the good work.

Thanks for sharing this. I always have been trying to figure out the difference between the Gospel and Holy Gospel. Love the ideas of where to use as well.
I make sure to always have at least some Holy Cow and Holy Voodoo on hand, and both of those are great on everything I've tried them on, including Holy Cow on pork. Tried the Honey Bacon BBQ for the first time over the weekend on some spare ribs and that was outstanding.
Excellent video, thank you. Found Meat Church purely by chance a ways back, and it's product lines have become my "go to." I've tried other brands, and while they're ok, I still come.back to MT. Keep up the great work, and thank you.

Very interesting Matt. I’ve recently got into BBQing and use nothing but your products. I’m fortunate enough to live in Waxahachie as well so I get to come to the storefront as much as I want for brines and rubs. Store staff is always so friendly and helpful. Great job brother!!!
Thanks so much for this video! I received a bunch of your rubs (along with bourbon) for my birthday. I was a little confused to which ones would go better with the different grillin' meats. This video is a big help. BTW, the Día de la fajita is the bomb on pulled pork for a great change of pace. The wife loves the VUDU on everything to include wings, french fries, tator tots, etc.
I have been all about these seasonings for years. Definitely pay a premium to get them up here in Alberta. Worth every penny, though. Honey hog has become the seasoning of our family haha. Meat church is the best !
Even though this channel is my “go-to” for advice on smoking and grilling, I have never purchased or used Meat Church products because I have way too many rubs. I need to eat down my current supply so I can buy some from Scheels. I’ll get the Gospel. 😊
I really like Holy Gospel on the ribs I've been making. It's taken a several rounds of smoking ribs to find the seasoning I like, and Holy Gospel is it! I'll have to try Holy Cow because I'm needing a bit more pepper. Thanks for a great line of seasonings!
I usually blend my own but bought a combo pack (the ocho?), prepping for a large 60 person cook. Nephew and I at a table the day before dry tasting, aimed at chicken and agreed. 3/4 "The Gospel", 1/4 "Holy Voodoo". Not enough experience yet with the beef (10 tri tips), so did what I already knew. After serving, tri tip was damn good, but the chicken was gone, and I mean not a scrap left. Maybe 16lbs of chicken, Hmm. Next big cook a few months from now. No menu yet, but thinking they'll want surf and turf. Gotta think this thru. Thanks Matt!
Love your rubs Matt! I started buying the “ocho” a couple years ago just because I wanted to try a bit of everything! I’ve found my wife and two boys LOVE Voodoo on beef (also just tried Blanco, and it might be a draw with Voodoo) The Gospel, and Honey Bacon Hog. I’ve recently purchased bulk bags of those flavors for refills! Oh, and my two boys RAVE over Texas Sugar on their popcorn and hard-boiled eggs!
Great video I use a light coat of holy cow on almost everything, followed by heavy coat of one of the other rubs, depending on protein. If you ever want to open a stand alone store in Houston, I’d love to run it
Super video. Love your spices! All except Blanco. Used it on a couple steaks last week. That stuff is super salty. Looking forward to how I should have used it.

Blanco is now my go to base rub for most of everything
I'm willing to give some of these a try. I also make my own, at the suggestion of Malcom Reed.
Looking forward to hearing the backstory on the rest of the varieties ... my most recent pick up was Blanco, use it on almost everything, and love it!
Very interesting, Matt. I love to hear the history of Meat Church. I love all the seasonings, too. We used the Fajita seasoning last night.
I cooked a huge breakfast for a large gathering. I added some fajita seasoning to the scrambled eggs and got a lot of good comments.
Sounds great!
Great video
I use a light coat of holy cow on almost everything, followed by heavy coat of one of the other rubs, depending on protein.
If you ever want to open a stand alone store in Houston, I’d love to run it
Love that!
I haven't come across any of the seasoning that I did not like. I just got the "Blanco" and first use was smoked sourdough garlic bread...AMAZING.
BAD ASS!
Super video. Love your spices! All except Blanco. Used it on a couple steaks last week. That stuff is super salty. Looking forward to how I should have used it.
Go lighter. It's very popular on steaks. Add a touch of pepper if you like.
Awesome video, Matt. Been hoping for this for a while now. Only problem now is that I need a bigger spice cabinet!
haha same!!!!!
Answered several of my questions. Thanks for the walk through. Looking forward to pt2.
You bet!
Holy Gospel is my go to rib and pork butt seasoning! Can't beat it!
AWESOME!!!
Just got blanco. O man is that a game changer
YESSIR!!!!! #1!
