Fantastic selections Chris. Love the original Ash Ra Tempel on Ohr. What a gem. I have the Electric Flag. But I never listened to it. And a very Merry Christmas to you and your family Chris. You never disappoint. What an incredible collection~ Rob/Boston
Thanks Rob. I have the first Electric Flag album, but when I listened to this one with the addition of Mike Bloomfield I thought that I should get it. Happy Holidays, Chris
I like gongs and bells too Chris! Funny, I just watched two very good interviews featuring Jeff Cotton, and Artie Tripp with Bill Harkleroad ( Zoot Horn Rollo), the talk was mostly about their work with Beefheart, but Jeff mentioned in detail, his band, Mu! I learned that Jeff Beck loaned his equiptment to the early Beefheart band during a music tour in Europe. Ian Anderson from Jethro Tull was also a supporter of Captain Beefheart and encouraged and helped Zoot Horn Rollo form his band, Mallard . Aaah, love seeing the Dewey Redman and Bill Dixon, two of my favorite musicians.Yesterday, I listened to ''Freak n' Roll'', I focused on the fantastic drumming of Klaus Schulze, usually my attention is on Manuel Gottsching's string magic! ''Christmas Merry'' made me think of the superb Slapp Happy( with Faust) album titled , '' Acnalbasac Noom'' !
Thanks Michael. I forgot to give any detail regarding Mu. Your mentioning of Slapp Happy would have made a much more elegant explanation from me other than I forgot the order of the records!
the kremski sounded great, just have one of his. been looking for a good deal for that patty waters for a long time, excellent one. tippett looks promising as well, cool cover too. Feliz navidad and hny!
Thanks Alex. Yes, I have been pleased with both the Tippett and the Waters albums. Now, I would like to find the other Waters album, College Tour. Best wishes for the holidays.
Wow, that MU album looks awesome. I have a record by Merrell Fankhauser and HMS Bounty. Background music is awesome. As Lis said below, Christmas Merry to you too!
Chris , I want to wish you a very Merry Christmas. What a fun way to show off your albums from this year, well done. I had never seen that first Emmy Lou album until about a month ago where Radio Wasteland suddenly got a copy of it. That is not a cheap album. Always so much music I have no idea about , well done my friend
Kremski is some heroic stuff! Been listening to Lino Capra Vaccina’s solo records a lot lately, he features on the tippet album. Thanks for the video, hope you are well!
Ha! Don't know if these are all new records but this is a fun way to do a vinyl finds video essentially, not sure if you meant it that way. Curious about Mu lp with Fankhauser, don't believe I've seen that. Very much looking for the Patty Waters, love what she did on those records. Interesting stuff as always Chris, have a wonderful holiday!
Hey Dom. The records are all new to me, at least. Well, Emmylou and Ashra are technically upgrades. The Mu album claims to be a limited release of 300 copies that Merrell signed (some of them), though my copy doesn't have a number or signature, so I don't know about those claims!
Apologies that this is a bit late Chris, but hope you had a great day. The Kremski CD sounds good - will have to check that one out. Heard good things about the MU album for a long while but never yet heard anything from it. Didn't know of Methusalah and of their being a progenitor to Amazing Blondel! Just checked them out and the drummer went onto Steamhammer who I have just showed in my latest video. Love Ash Ra Tempel - nice to be able to get an original! Wishing you all the best for the new year.
Thank you Pete. I hadn't realized that the drummer was in both Methuselah and Steamhammer. I recently bought the self-titled Steamhammer (in the US, known as MK II elsewhere). Hope the rest of the holidays are good.
Christmas Merry to you too!!!🎄🥳👋🏻have a good holiday Chris😎warmer weather is coming....the count down has begun ☀️
Hey Lis. Merry Christmas.

Great choices, love the Ash Ra and Patty Waters. Merry Christmas, Chris!
Thanks Michael. I knew what to expect with Ash Ra, but the Patty Waters was a pleasant surprise.
Merry Christmas.

Thanks Randy. Merry Christmas. I have another reissue of Mu's first album, and one of his solo albums.
Happy Festivus Chris!
Festivus for the rest of us. Thanks Dave.

Thanks. The Tippett album is the first I have with Lino Capra Vaccina. Might have to investigate more.
@ if you enjoy Kremski you’ll like Vaccina
