These models are more durable than the newer ones. In my place they're usually used as people carriers, fully loaded and sometimes with extra cargo. Some of the oldest ones(the pre-facelift 2.5 variants) are still running today even with improper maintenance. But if you always follow the PMS stated in the owner's manual, you still get the best performance out of these guys. Best performance as in you don't see a reduction in performance.
