    Mio, congratulations for winning EURO-2023! As far as I know you personally highly contributed to this success!

    thanks for this new idea Qd3, this setup also reminds me of an easy attack I can sometimes get from scotch opening 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.d4 cxd4 4.Nxd4 Nxd4?! 5.Qxd4 d6 6.Nc3 Nf6 7.Bf4 with similar ideas 0-0-0,f3 white attack is much faster. Oh and get healthy with that voice, coach haha too much whiskey! 🤣

      Mate, remember this is Big Mio's chess-channel so we do not say "whisky" here... we say "Scotch"... 😃 Obviously Mio likes opening "Scotch" , and WHEN the "Scotch" is opened... it effects the voice. 😂

    Great upload! Thx, I need some new ideas. I play central game and sac on f7. I do this bcoz Jonathan Schrantz posted a video on how he got beaten constantly facing the bishops opening and sac on f7. And he is pretty good. But this is also good bcoz u mentioned Mamedyarov. So it can be trusted. Nice mentioning of Durarbayli as well. That is such a cool player and great source of inspiration. Merry Christmas!

    Hello, Butcher. What do you think of the Von Hennig-Schara gambit for black against 1. d4? I think it offers an immense amount of counterattacking chances for black in a sound manner.

    I like to play the Hall variation with 4.Qc4 but with not so good results, this looks similar but with better options for the queen along the 3rd rank

    • @MiodragPerunovicOfficial
      @MiodragPerunovicOfficial  ปีที่แล้ว

      d5 is the same line as i covered with Nc3 Nf6 included, its a tiny bit better for White

    • @sleepy4x
      @sleepy4x ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MiodragPerunovicOfficial Thanks. I hope your voice is better. The difference is, that in the line with 4...d5 5. Bf4 is not good because of Qf6 which is not possible in the Nc3 Nf6 line. After 4...d5 the engine gives 5.exd5 or 5.Qxd5 as best moves both leading to a queenless game in which black is fine.

      I recommend 5.Nc3 for white. 5...dxe4 is not scary because after Qxe4+ White is absolutely fine.
      Black's better option is d5, attacking our knight. But we have Nd5. After Nf6 Nxf6+ Qxf6 engine says black is slightly slightly better, but white is fine too and at least Queen trade doesn't happen

    • @ecarte931
      @ecarte931 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sleepy4x Instead of Nxf6+, Bg5 is possible and if black plays Be7 white can get some interesting chances. (Black is fine anyway)
      But super annoying 7...Nb4 can mess up everything.

  • @RayT70
    @RayT70 ปีที่แล้ว

    The best reply to 4. Qd3, which is not considered in this video, is the immediate 4...d5. For example
    1. e4 e5 2. d4 exd4 3. Qxd4 Nc6 4. Qd3 d5 5. Qxd5 Qxd5 6. exd5 Nb4
    Black is at least equal.

    hey Mr. Miodrag just wanted to ask you some questions about caro kann. While playing against higher rated it works to pull off a draw but when i am playing against a low rated there is nothing much in caroo kann to exploit him and even against high rated in a must win situation it has been difficult for me to find any counterplay. Can you help me in this?

  • @kwhd559

    I guess you didn't mention 4...d5, as that would have complicated your video - Also Mamedyarov never reached the position in your video from the Center Game move-order, precisely because of 4...d5!
    Mamedyarov always used the Vienna Game Move-Order: 1.e4 e5 2.Nc3 Nf6 and only now did Mamedyarov play 3.d4 - I suppose you avoided disclosing this important piece of information because you didn't want to complicate your life, by having to give a recommendation against the equally playable 2...Nc6 - Nevertheless, you should be completely transparent with your audience, I am sure your chessable courses don't rely on such trickery - Also, you have intentionally ignored the questions in the chat regarding 4...d5, perhaps because there is no good answer, but still if that is the case you should acknowledge it.
    An interesting, but Very Dishonest Video😂

      First of all, relax. Secondly, I already have the video with 2.Nc3 Nf6 3.d4 and thirdly, I guess you want to be so smart, ok you are great, have a good one! 🤷‍♂️

      Could you not air your views, without getting so rude? Just close your eyes and imagine you are in front of that person, rather than sitting far away from your target. Would you still act that way? 🤨

      @@chessmate7368 Your outrage is misplaced - I'm a truth teller, I don't believe in sugarcoating.
      When content is good and honest I give deserved praise, when It's not I am equally scathing - When an International Master and Opening Theortician gives his seal of approval to an opening line, and encourages his audience to play it without disclosing the full truth, it offends me. It offends me because he is setting up his audience to fail.
      I am not a fanboy here to stroke a content creator's ego, when I post it is mostly to provide chess improvers with valuable information, and to save them precious study time. The comment section is often filled with too much mindless hero worship and not enough critical feedback.
      The tone of my original comment was as such, because obviously a player of Perunovic's strength knows that 1.e4 e5 2.d4 exd4 3.Qxd4 Nc6 4.Qd3 d5! is not only equal, but also gives Black the initiative and the more pleasant position to play. Moreover, he also knew that Mamedyarov never played the Center Game since he quoted his encounter against Michael Adams - That is why I said the video was very dishonest.
      For the record here is a copy of the game score quoted in the Video:
      Mamedyarov,Shakhriyar (2770) - Adams,Michael (2716) [C26]
