I’m sorry I can’t let him go because who going replace him a rookie to develop then have a playoff run you can’t control injuries but that veteran present is important to me as a fan
The funny part is most of the fans think drafting a couple CBs is gonna help this team. The last thing the youngest team in the league needs is more rookies. However Jaire has proven unreliable and unavailable 3 years straight especially for the money. Time to move on.
@ I get it the money and moving on for jai but have find someone to replace that & the division getting better both Amon & Justin is 25 they going cook our secondary for a couple years if that position don’t get better
Rookies are replacing him now anyway - what’s the difference? He’s only on the field for 50% of the time. That means someone else is in his spot 50% of the time
Jaire will be fine. He’ll be back and the defense under Hafley in year 2 will have the appropriate personnel. As far as the playoffs go, the best defense is probably going to have to be offense. The offense may have to carry this team the entire way.
Jaire's knee may be done and likely signals the end of his career as an 'elite' shutdown corner. The Packers should cut him and put an all-out focus on cover-corner this offseason. Sign the best corner in free-agency. Draft the best corner available in the first, second, third rounds. Shotgun all resources on corner and let the best take the field next year. Spare no expense. Make damn sure you field the best DUO of man-on-man corners you can and have an answer off the bench. Because the Corner position is the last spot left to fill on this team to ensure a legit championship run and there's no way you keep some washed up, injured Jaire and "pray" he "still has it".
Dude is done and the Packers should have drafted Cooper Dejean. It's pretty obvious that fans were right and Morgan was the wrong pick. Sorry, it's just glaringly obvious and it was glaringly obvious when the 1st pick came down and we all knew Jaire was injury prone and we didn't even have a #2 corner established. The Packers won't stop any major offense in the playoffs IMO because Halfley's defensive design is to have 2 lockdown corners that allow the safeties and LBs to bring the house randomly and wreak havoc in the middle of the field in coverage. Right now, the only defense the Packers can field is a 2-deep zone....exactly what they ran last year. There's no way they can run man-on-man on the outside with their current corners. The talent just isn't there.
I just feel like coach knew and the coaching staff knew that Ja money was more hurt than well and yet still before the trade deadline they did nothing so now I hold them responsible for not drafting and also not trading for somebody just in case he couldn't go
There wasn’t anybody available worth getting at the position. Andy did a whole 30 minute breakdown of that exact thing right around the trade deadline. You cant be active at the deadline if there isn’t anyone to get
No but Cooper DeJean was on the board in the first round, instead of drafting him Gutikunst reached on an injury prone Tackle, and then triple dipped at OL. This is on Gutkenst, and she be on the hot 🔥 seat @@mattw36
And we had a chance at trade deadline to trade for a corner and packers aint do it we knew jaire was hurt alot at deadline packers was supposed to get a corner
I can't understand, why with him being out so long, that we didn't focus as if he'd wouldn't play ever. See the Consequences of being Overly Optimistic? We could've add Lattimore or another player
@bowlofsoup12 , So your vision got Stuck on Lattimore and couldn't get any further? It figures with you Humans with comprehension issues. Or another player flew right past you didn't it, because your looking for a reason to remain delusional
He partially tore his PCL. Knee ligament do not heal for those who may not know. Thus, the ligament required surgery to fully heal. However, players can still play on partially torn ligaments, though it’s painful and likely leads to a full tear. In hindsight, GB and Ja should have elected for season ending surgery post the Chicago game. But they tried to wait and see if he could make a comeback. Clearly that backfired. He’s likely done in GB but there’s a chance he’s back in 2025 due to no other team is likely to trade premium picks for a player coming off a current serious knee injury
It wouldn't matter to me if they got rid of Jaire Alexander he's never healthy I don't think he wanna be in Green Bay no way hopefully they find somebody else better then him.
Has he ever played a full season? Guess a GM just always needs to draft top-level CB prospects. No pass rush talent, no above average CB talent...not a good combo...GPG
I didn't quite get why the coach handled the press conference the way he did. It was like they were pulling teeth to get information. I think other teams know that the player was hurt and why he wasn't forthcoming is beyond me. There's nothing to gain in this situation by not just spitting it out there and telling the truth the fact that the reporters had to keep asking him certain questions and then he had a smirk on his face as he answered them makes me a little upset about how he's handling things.
What's the best ability in football? Say it with me...AVAILABILITY! Dude hasn't been healthy in years. Becoming an "all pro" corner again is a big stretch it's been years since he's been at that level.
Move on. This "muzzled drama" is NOT good for the young players, all of them, the whole team. Distracting. Let the young backs get all the playing time they can get. Evaluate them make decisions.
A poll on X showing 2/3rds of Packers fans say it's time to move on from Jaire. 21M a season for a guy who had 2 subpar years before missing most of this 3rd year. I'd take his money give it Doubs & Watson myself. Might keep him 1 more season. But he definitely not getting an extension before proving he can earn his big fat check! I definitely take a trade that would bring back even a low draft pick without hesitation. Stokes play has been suspect at best. Another the Packers best to let walk end of 2024. Valentine & Nixon the only solid pieces left for rebuilding that CB room going forward. Gutekunst needs to hit CB in FA & the draft like he did safety this past off season. Agree with Andy & majority of GB fans ~ time to move on. Unless you get a cheap deal. Go Pack Go!
@@PackerBacker911 I'd say that ego doesn't adhere him to many of us fans for damn sure. Old school I prefer when you let others speak to how good you are rather than brag about it yourself. I think our window has passed this year on getting to the Super Bowl. Love hasn’t progressed this year like I expected him to do. Against Super Bowl contenders with a pass rush he is anxious, fidgety, inaccurate, holds onto the ball too long. He’s performing less effectively now than last year at this time. This is the biggest (negative) surprise for me involving the Packers this year. Also the hoped for improvement in our defense has come up way short of expectations regardless of the JA injury. Sucks. My high confidence in September is drained.
I mean maybe he's done in GB? I personally doubt it. I think he'll be back for at least another year. However, I think the Packers will give the CBs the same treatment they gave the safeties this past year in the draft. Draft them early and often to rebuild the ranks.
The problem is MLF botched the Bak and Jaire injury updates to the media. If you just say a brief update that tells the fans and media what is going on then there’s no speculation. But MLF acts pissy and makes it sound like Jaire doesn’t feel he can play. It’s on MLF.

LB would be good too! I bet Gute is kicking himself at least a little bit considering the CB talent in this prior draft that they passed on…
I’m sorry I can’t let him go because who going replace him a rookie to develop then have a playoff run you can’t control injuries but that veteran present is important to me as a fan
That means someone else is in his spot 50% of the time
Yeah.. 91% JA is gone.. unless he restructures his contact.. but if there is a trade for picks in draft, he's gone. 👋🏻 Mr. Glass
Can’t wait to see Ja in purple 🙄
Jaire will be fine. He’ll be back and the defense under Hafley in year 2 will have the appropriate personnel. As far as the playoffs go, the best defense is probably going to have to be offense. The offense may have to carry this team the entire way.
And get injured again
Arthroscopic surgery does not fix ligaments. That is open. He probably had cartilage injury
They'll bring him back next year. If he can't again stay on the field again. Then they will get rid of him.
So u wanted another injury prone corner. Exposing yourself bud
@@taipan8021 you specifically mentioned lattimore. Do you have an extra chromosome? Sure seems like it
Take the medicine. "Grade A" Alexander is gone. Draft corners and hopefully sign at least one in FA
Wasn't he a first round pick? I always say the Packers shouldn't draft small/thin dudes. Especially in the first round. Will they ever learn?
Are we calling mismanagement for playing the Chicago game?
No we’re calling them crackheads
It wouldn't matter to me if they got rid of Jaire Alexander he's never healthy I don't think he wanna be in Green Bay no way hopefully they find somebody else better then him.
zane anderson, the great white hope? We are dead in the water
The 2025 draft class is deep in cover corners.
Has he ever played a full season? Guess a GM just always needs to draft top-level CB prospects. No pass rush talent, no above average CB talent...not a good combo...GPG
The Rasul trade continues to not look good.
We ain't making it out of the first round against the eagle's
I didn't quite get why the coach handled the press conference the way he did. It was like they were pulling teeth to get information. I think other teams know that the player was hurt and why he wasn't forthcoming is beyond me. There's nothing to gain in this situation by not just spitting it out there and telling the truth the fact that the reporters had to keep asking him certain questions and then he had a smirk on his face as he answered them makes me a little upset about how he's handling things.
He’s not going anywhere unless he wants out. Cutting him or trading him won’t help cap wise and you’re going to draft cb regardless
I take that back
What a disappointment this guy has been. The guy has been a lot of money to rehab. Haven't gotten much else out of him this season.
RESTRUCTURE!!!!
They don't deserve to rest, too many mistakes that need to be cleaned up
52 minutes?
What's the best ability in football? Say it with me...AVAILABILITY! Dude hasn't been healthy in years. Becoming an "all pro" corner again is a big stretch it's been years since he's been at that level.
Move on. This "muzzled drama" is NOT good for the young players, all of them, the whole team. Distracting. Let the young backs get all the playing time they can get. Evaluate them make decisions.
Now watch him go to another team and be completely healthy.
No.
Stop fanning the casual flames
Let him go…move on!
If the packers make it to the superbowl. Hahaha hahaha
Jaiere or not the Packers need to get bacK to being ball hawks and forcing turnovers fr fr. GO PACK GO
Go get Micah Hyde
Go Pack Go!
Jaire is a legend in his own mind.
@@PackerBacker911 I'd say that ego doesn't adhere him to many of us fans for damn sure. Old school I prefer when you let others speak to how good you are rather than brag about it yourself. That said he has actually seemed to show a little maturity since his suspension. If you going to talk the talk you need to walk the walk. Jaire hasn't really done that now for 3 seasons.
Go Pack Go!
Cool so it's over great.
😭😭😭😭
He quir on team. Took his money and took off. Typical rich athlete.
I wasn't high on Love at all coming into this season. Hopefully he plays much better next year.
I mean maybe he's done in GB? I personally doubt it. I think he'll be back for at least another year. However, I think the Packers will give the CBs the same treatment they gave the safeties this past year in the draft. Draft them early and often to rebuild the ranks.
By the way this comment section you’d think this team was 6-10. Yall are the biggest Debbie downers
Most of us are just realists.
Cut Jaire. Bring in a mid tier vet. Draft two corners in draft
The corner that tore acl from ECU might be a nice pick late 1st
Cut him..? Crackhead trade him
The problem is MLF botched the Bak and Jaire injury updates to the media. If you just say a brief update that tells the fans and media what is going on then there’s no speculation. But MLF acts pissy and makes it sound like Jaire doesn’t feel he can play. It’s on MLF.
He doesn't owe anyone an explanation except for the required weekly injury/practice statuses
@@joeo4496He could afford to be more transparent about the injuries sometimes though. Matt has a special tendency to piss the fans off.😤
Edit: It's not like he's fooling anyone at this point.
@@GodsmackAR69 What's the point of getting pissed off though? That does nothing. Matt being more transparent isn't going to help the player get back sooner.
@@joeo4496 Being pissed off is a normal reaction. Fans deserve to know why their favorite players aren't on the field.
Irrelevant
Alexander has never been a big-time performer. Great physical talent, head case. The Myth has always been far greater than the reality. Right now, Alexander is doing what his agent is telling him to do so that he doesnt get hurt before getting traded/released.
LaFleur has been hedging on Alexander for weeks. He has known Alexander is getting shown the door. I suspect Alexander's agent has known this too. Not sure Alexander understands much of anything.
Romans 10:9-10 "That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.
