- The 27th law of power illustrates how to "play on people's need to believe, to... create a cultlike following". Carti keeps it vague whilst keeping it simple. He emphasizes the visual and sensual over the intellectual. He subconsciously borrows the forms of organized religion to structure the group and most importantly establishes a " us- verses them" dynamic. Although there are multiple entertainers and musicians who fit the mold of the 27th law of power, I just thought making a video on carti would prove to be the most interesting.

Lmfao the undertone of the video is that you think playboi carti doesnt deserve the praise hes getting for his artistry and instead manipulated people into liking it. You can’t force anyone to like your artistic, creative aesthetics. You can argue that he has handled his popularity and attention well, making smart business, behind the scenes and public image moves to go along with his artistry.
2 things can be true at once. I absolutely think he deserves what has come to him. However It would he disingenuous to not think he doesn’t stir people or his fans to create a cult like following. His artistry, creative aesthetics, business decisions and social ambiguity has made him absolutely revered. Imo anyways. I just think it’s very calculated and that he’s not doing it aimlessly. HOWEVER THANKS 4 WATCHING 🫶🏾🫶🏾
The idea that people can’t be forced to think a certain way or like something simply isn’t true.
Ask yourself why do you think the way you think and act the way you act. Social pressure mixed with your personal experience.
If you can find a way to relate to the majority and create an image that you’re aesthetically “different” then you just gained a cult following.
Even Kanye has a cult following due to the image he portrays and his music resonates with a lot of people.

Force and coercion can be different than manipulation. In the religious sense, people join cults willingly. No one makes them do it. Why would it be any different with a musician using similar tactics?
