Store looks great
Can you give a break down of the cost of the new machines? With financing details?
Is there an additional fee for installation does the supplier offer this? Also did you face environmental fees from the gov since it's a new setup?
i like ur laundromat fit out.
Another AMAZING laundromat Congrats to you and Kelli!!!!
Thank you so much!
Looking good!
Thanks Michael! I have some top loaders I can ship to you there in New York, lol.
Love the 45 lb dryer s
So great!!!
2 Names, 1 Man, #JoeDan
Beautiful
Thank you!!
Looks good. Is there a way to get better pricing from distributors. I got a qoute recently they are all in the same ballpark.
Where did you get the washing/drying machines from?
Looks great! I love your flooring. Did you just install it over the tile or did you remove the tile first?
Thank you for the compliments. Yes, we did install the floor over the tile floor. Turned out great.
Looks amazing. Congrats!! What is the thickness of vinyl floors.
Thanks for the compliment. I am not sure of the thickness, but it's LVT and we got the kind that glues down, or not.
Hello, I was just curious where you get your bulkheads from?
Looks awesome, great job! Had a few questions:
With the dryer wall packed so close together and being so large, is it difficult to pull a unit forward in order to access the back of the machine and do any necessary maintenance?
Did you need any building permits ect. to perform this new buildout?
How many different professionals did you need to hire? Im guessing:
plumber, electrician, carpenter ect....
We have over 2 feet behind the dryer wall. Plenty of space and easy to work on. Yes you need permits when you are altering the building. I used a plumber, electrician, and a general contractor to do drywall and floors, and paint.
Did you request those bulkheads custim made? How much did they cost? Who's your supplier? Awesome video. Thanks for showing the behind the scene
I did receive those bulkheads from high mark. I have since switched to freedom bulkheads from Paul Pettefer in Louisiana. These are very expensive, and his were like half the price, and probably build a little better. Not too sure of the cost you will have to get that through your distributor.
Well we in Germany and starting a Laundrymat service. What coin washers and dryer’s would you recommend to start out?
That's a subjective question? I would find a distributor who sells equipment close to where you are located so if something were to break down you would have someone close buy to fix the machines.
Hi. Where do you get the machines' rack/base from?
Are the custom made, or comes with machines together?
We get the bases from the distributor along with the machine. They don't come with the washers.
Nice, any updates on your commercial laundry?
Yes, I will put out a video. It has been a process on deciding how to build, and making sure we get exactly what we want.
@@splashemoutlaundromat God blessed and good luck. I pray that the laundromat continues to be blessed and not stressed.
It’s looks like you put flooring over the existing tile floor. If so are there any challenges associated with that floor project? Thanks for any input!
Yes, we did put over some VCT, and no problems at all.
Hope to God you moved that wall.
code around us is you have to use a trough. not so much by you or just don't invite the plumbing inpector??
Not if it didn’t have a trough already. Went back to what was there already!
Hopefully everybody is loving the new Coin-Free Laundry Center.
We were a bit nervous about that, but they are actually loving it. It's a pain in the but to load 7 dollars worth of quarters, when all you have to do is sit a card on there. Plus I can run promotions. Right now its double your money.
@@splashemoutlaundromat How long will you run the double your money promotion?
@@Twinduct I believe i will make sure one cycle of customers are able to take advantage of the free money, so i would say a week.
@@splashemoutlaundromat very nice but confusing as we don't use lbs in the uk for load size of machines we use kgs
What did it cost to set this up?
Gaz tumble dryer ?
I am looking at purchasing a facility where owner is retiring. Would you not want to stay with coin, for the benefit of now electronic trail of your profits?
I dont want coin so I don't have to go in there every other day emptying coin boxes that get full rather quick. Also, changer problems constantly. If I had one laundromat it wouldnt be so bad I suppose, but after having card we will never go back.
Nice! Is it possible to get into this business w/o knowing about plumbing, electrics, construction? Is it truly an24/7 business? Seems days off is not possible. Of course the wealthy work daily 10-16 hours
Yes, you don't have to know anything about plumbing or anything. All you have to do is have the right mindset and anything can happen. If you utilize TH-cam and watch enough videos you can get a good idea on how to open and operate a laundromat.
@@splashemoutlaundromat thank you although I understand, it’s important to be handy to a greater or lesser degree similar to owning a car or bicycle. I always felt this was a good business recently a club where I ran shows couldn’t pay their rent. A laundromat took them over installing new machines and not Many
made me realize there is money there.
Hey how much did this cost you?
Sell the old maytags for good price??
make me an offer
Wouldn’t you lose customers by removing coin option ?
RIP to Those Maytags
WHAT DOES DOMETHING LIKE THIS COST?? IM INTERESTED
Around 400-$500k
@BigGirlsFTW noice!...actually that's very expensive ma'am.
how much that would cost? i want to start one
We have a consultant company if you want the ins and outs of owning a laundromat. Check out bigspashconsulting.com
Is it for sale ? Is so , how much asking?!?
We just built the laundromat. It's not for sale, but if you are interested you can always make an offer.
Please let me know who was your contractor?
I was the General Contractor
how many sqft?
6,000
You didn't show the finished sign.
Yes, the laundromat was finished, but the signs were not. I believe I have a post of the signage, and I’ll go get some more video.
It kinda pisses me off that you built that place in a month. I've been working on my laundromat for 7 months, and all the subcontractors have been screwing around and wasting time every step of the way. If I had a dollar for every time I have heard the words "NEXT WEEK', I'd have a lot of dollars. Of course, I can't just throw money at it until it is done like you, I have had to half-ass and cheap-ass the project every step of the way. So good job, I guess. If I am lucky, I will be open by the end of March. I wanted to be open by Halloween!
And this is why i won’t pay a contractor one penny until they are completely finished with the job. If they don’t have money for materials, then I won’t do business with them. There is no incentive for the contractors to finish if you keep paying them along the way. Believe me, we learned the hard way. If I was in your position, I would give them a deadline, and if they don’t agree, then i would cut my losses and get someone else in there that can complete the job. Good luck.
This is why you go with a contractor who specializes in building laundromats and dry cleaners. They’ll have the parts already on hand
16:39 - how much did your Laundroworks system cost? I saw a local laundromat that had changed to it, and I emailed the company for a quote. For 2 payment kiosks and 50 machine card readers, they said $30,000 !
Sounds a bit low, but I know the 2 kiosks that sounds about right
