    Can you give a break down of the cost of the new machines? With financing details?
    Is there an additional fee for installation does the supplier offer this? Also did you face environmental fees from the gov since it's a new setup?

      I did receive those bulkheads from high mark. I have since switched to freedom bulkheads from Paul Pettefer in Louisiana. Looks awesome, great job! Had a few questions:
    With the dryer wall packed so close together and being so large, is it difficult to pull a unit forward in order to access the back of the machine and do any necessary maintenance?
    Did you need any building permits ect. to perform this new buildout?
    How many different professionals did you need to hire? Im guessing:
    plumber, electrician, carpenter ect....

    • @splashemoutlaundromat

      We have over 2 feet behind the dryer wall. Plenty of space and easy to work on. Yes you need permits when you are altering the building. I used a plumber, electrician, and a general contractor to do drywall and floors, and paint.

    Was this laundromat free or did you purchase it from the previous operator? Could I do an hybrid of coin and laundroworks until the customers get used to the laundroworks system? Don't want to shock the current customers.

    • @splashemoutlaundromat
      @splashemoutlaundromat  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      We built this from scratch, so far from free. We do a hybrid system in here because we had Spyder wash system and we didn't have a way of covering up the holes that system left so we opted to keep some coin drops in there. Actually our customers love the card system, and I would not do hybrid if it was possible, because they love the cards. I never get change out. There was pushback for about a week from very few customers, as they know that most things are becoming easier, and where else do you have to go and deal with quarters? In a laundromat not so much, as if a customer is using the washer, and another customer comes along and takes the dryer right above that washer it can become a conflict. When that happens the customers are on top of each other having no space. Therefore, I try to make things a little more spread out. If customers would respect that the person using the washer will be using the dryer above, then not a big deal.

    • @splashemoutlaundromat
      @splashemoutlaundromat  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Not with Laundroworks! The customer can go to laundry cat, and or to the kiosk to see their balance. During holidays we put money on peoples card who is registered. They don't have to lug around quarters. We have customers thanking us daily for the change to card. I haven't seen the grocery store cheat me yet, and or the gas station when I use card. Many sports, and concerts will only accept card. Why would you say in the laundry industry it's different? We are moving toward the future, and card is one of those steps we are taking. We are getting rid of all top loaders, and people hated the fact we did that, and now have no complaints. We are evolving, and so is the industry.

    It kinda pisses me off that you built that place in a month. I've been working on my laundromat for 7 months, and all the subcontractors have been screwing around and wasting time every step of the way. If I had a dollar for every time I have heard the words "NEXT WEEK', I'd have a lot of dollars. Of course, I can't just throw money at it until it is done like you, I have had to half-ass and cheap-ass the project every step of the way. So good job, I guess. If I am lucky, I will be open by the end of March. I wanted to be open by Halloween!

There is no incentive for the contractors to finish if you keep paying them along the way. Believe me, we learned the hard way. If I was in your position, I would give them a deadline, and if they don’t agree, then i would cut my losses and get someone else in there that can complete the job. Good luck.
