46 count linen. You are brave. All I can say is great lighting and strong magnifiers. Just enjoy the stitch!!!

Well, as for your 46 count, it might be a challenge at first and maybe not your sweet spot right away but you might get used to it and like it eventually.

Had not seen the Quilting Bee by Caroline Manning! I love it❤ Samantha is a super enthusiastic contagion spreader!! I adore her and I have all the monthly Quakers. Just finishing Block Quaker!

I copy my chart colors and check off as I buy, then wrap my floss in the paper at Joanne's. That way they stay together until I bring home. The cashier puts in mini bags so they don't get mixed up.

Enjoyed your update, I was stitching a Mill Hill kit, well beading really, have discovered a blunder however so will have to fix it 🙄 I don’t eat donuts 🍩 if I did I’d eat every kind 😅. Looking forward to your next update.. love your work ❤

Hi Julie 👋!! Nice to get to know you here. I’m stitching Christmas in July too 🎅🏻🎄 🦌 I agree with you start with the red and greens and just get started on your Christmas pattern. I’m starting to discover how much I love Mill Hill kits. It’s a special experience unpacking all the floss and stitching on perforated paper is fun too. I’m honoured you are joining the Summer Quaker SAL! My excitement is growing as we come closer to August 1st. Sooo my GF gifted me the pattern as a early birthday gift and she gifted the call for fabric 46ct latte. I decided to save it for another project as I think counting would be challenging for this Quaker. Girl go with a 32ct and enjoy the stitch, let’s have FUN !!! I have subscribed and I’m excited to follow your stitching journey 🥰 -Samantha 🦋

Hi Samantha! Thank you so much for your comment. I’m so excited to join my first SAL 😊 I can’t wait to start!! I am definitely buying an alternative fabric.. in the meantime, I will keep a lookout for your Christmas in July updates! I’m ready to get festive 😂

I started watching you from the beginning and I’ve been enjoying journey because I went through all your are dealing with! ❤❤I am just going to say… my jaw dropped when you said 46 ct linen 😮don’t get me wrong it’s just you said Aida is confort stitching and 28 ct evenweave (still getting used to it) I’ll recommend to get a lower count linen like 36 or 32 to get comfortable, but if you want a challenge, and if you see the fabric go for it, just go slow and don’t be so harsh on yourself when you are getting frustrated just put it down and take a break ha ha ha it takes a minute to learn the whole one over two or two over two linen or evenweave ❤

Thank you!! I’m not going to lie, it was not my favorite. I’ve come to realize I’m much more of an 18 count Aida girlie 😅

Julie, you're so great! I had fun watching your first couple of videos. Re: the 46-count fabric - you've got this! On lighter fabrics like your cappuccino cut, I think it's totally doable. Darker fabrics in smaller counts are a little more difficult for me. I hope you give it a try! It's really pretty. Excited to continue to watch your channel grow!

Thank you so much! 😊😊 I appreciate the advice. I think I’m going to give it a go, but buy a backup fabric just in case I hate it.. Love your channel by the way! I live in Midwest and also get summers off because of work in a school system so I relate to your videos a lot! Can’t wait to see what you get up to the rest of the summer ☀️☀️☀️

Great progress on your Haunted House. that Tuna is such a cutie...lol. In regards to your Christmas project..maybe you could check your mom's sample and see how her colours are. Sometimes the choices are weird when you get them in a package and then when they are put together in the pattern they really are ok. Oh, you have checked with your mom....lol....

Tuna says thank you 😻 Yeah... my mom was not much help lol. She is way more creative than me so she was just like go with what you like!

My favorite donut is the glazed donuts. I enjoy your videos so much! I am pretty new to cross stitching and am almost finished with a design by Stoney Creek. I don't want to discourage you but I think the 46 count is too big of a leap especially on linen.

I appreciate the classic donut taste 😊 yes, I’m so torn about fabric… I think I’m going to buy a back up.

    Hi Julie
You are brave to stitch on 46 Count Fabric - My Highest Count is 28 or 32. I won’t stitch on anything higher than 32. I have to be able to see the holes.
Love your WIPS - you are making great progress on them.
I only live about 2 or 3 hours away from O’Hare Airport. I have flown out of O’Hare Airport and out of Midway as well. I have been to Chicago many times and I do love Chicago.
    Take Care & Happy Stitching

Thank you for all your comments. I had fun reading them! I am so glad you found and enjoy my channel! I am committing to the 46 count fabric, but I have a feeling I'll be sticking to lower count in the future 😳

I always do a floss toss on the fabric. That helps you choose!

My favourite donut is Canadian Maple(like Boston Creme but with Maple topping) and sour cream glazed.
