As for me, the most difficult part is to write Thai. Most syllables have no tone markers, many letters are pronounced differently than actually written. Sometimes the letters are not pronounced at all... 🤣 As a speaker of Chinese, Cantonese and some Vietnamese, Thai pronunciation and forming sentences in Thai is a peace of cake.
Thai alphabet based on Sanskrit alphabet. Also Thai language have a lot of borrowed words from Sanskrit and Pali (languages of Ancient India). Meanwhile logic, grammar and tones of Thai language are similar to modern Chinese. I think it easy to learn Thai for both Indians and Chinese.
yes I agree Thai easy to learn, but super difficult to pronounce correctly. I try to speak Thai but I cant tell if my pronunciation is correct especially when Thais dont understand what I said
