CST # 9 Low power liquid level sensor project, 1-3 years battery life on a 9V battery

This video demonstrates the current measurement and working of a low power liquid level sensor developed by our team. We achieve a battery of 1-3 years on a standard 9V Alkaline battery by using sleep mode, some skillful programming and careful hardware components selection to achieve a very low power consumption. If the liquid level is lower than the sensor then the buzzer will beep at preprogrammed intervals thus consuming more battery and we will get a battery life of about an year. Conversely, if the liquid level is higher than the sensor then the buzzer won't beep therefore we will get a much longer battery life of three years. In real life, the battery life will fall between 1-1.5 years. The microcontroller used is STM8L052. Contact us for your firmware and product development needs.
