ECO CHONTALES Costa Rica 2024

In this video we go to ECO CHONTALES waterfall, which is located less than an hour from the beaches of Dominical. The closest town is Platanillo, which has restaurants, a bar, bakeries, hardware and grocery stores. The temperature up the hill is much cooler and there’s almost always a breeze. Since this is during rainy season, we suggest only taking four-wheel-drive cars although you could probably make it in a 2WD with the right tires. The waterfall costs about 5000 colones per person of course there is a discount if you live in country. They offer lunch down at the bottom where the waterfall is, definitely worth making an afternoon out of the trip. During rainy season the water is so powerful. Definitely hold the hands of young ones when you’re walking along the trail. They do give you a stick at the top to help you walk and it’s not that challenging, but when the water is coming off the waterfall, it is an almost spiritual experience.
