I visited Bethel in the 2005 i believe and have many fond memories of my visit One thing that stands out is the rawness of the land and also knowing that if something happened to the airplanes i was stuck lol I came in the dead of winter and got to enjoy much of the winter activities that the locals shared with me Will never forget riding down the middle of the river on the snow machines lol also loved taking a "steam bath" and they tried running this ole southern boy out of the hut but i told then that was like a hot steamy summer day to me lol Good memories for sure

It’s probably in Yupik, my Yupik skills are bad enough that I can barely tell the difference between Yupik and Athabaskan or any other native language.
