I know you're trying to do an all spoon build but those spoon brakes use stock rotors sizes which don't add much stopping power or help with brake fade. Stoptech or AP racing are the way to go for big brakes
Really he probably would've been fine with OEM brakes for a beginner driver. Just use higher DOT fluid, track pads, and maybe some stainless steel lines.

Yeah 2 pieces to the system. Calipers and rotors. He will get more bite initially but that also translates to more heat and fade much faster on stock rotors. If this was a daily no track use car. Maybe it would work.

Cruz Ponce A wing definitely isn’t necessary. Most bolt on wings aren’t even that effective anyways, hence why time attack cars use crazy aero. Not hating but I doubt Dustin can even use the full potential of a stock S2000.

You should have tracked the car in its oem configuration first; learn those limits, then add upgrades.
Yeah a lot of folks throw a bunch of expensive parts on their car but seat time is where it's at. Really a more aggressive alignment and sticky tires even with OEM tire size instead of running ridiculously wide tires would do wonders.
GET TO TOE ARMS FIXED!!!! You’ll blow thru your tires if toe adjustment is off

Loving the series Dustin, I was a track instructor for 5 years with some pretty serious track cars (check my channel for some in-car video of me on the track). Looking forward to seeing your base line when you get on the track. I’m happy to see all of your preparation and safety equipment for track use. Biggest priority is safety, being smooth, and having fun :)

If you are driving on the circuit, attach a reinforced bracket so that the attachment point of the rear upper arm does not come off.
Love your videos Dustin but... I have been doing time trial for 8 years now and being an instructor I always tell everyone who’s starting to only focus on cooling (radiator, better brake fluid and SS lines) You should want to learn the car, the limits, find out if it has over steer or understeer before throwing money to the car...
he does this constantly then they turn to show cars or street cars shortly after.. if people want track content or builds they can check out my mediocre channel

The s2000, integra type r, and the older nsx's are absolutely freaking legendary, one of a kind, beasts. Nothing better than the sound of 9k rpm coming out of your hood. my man... if you plan on tracking this a lot you need to do a baffled oil pan. I'm running a J's baffled pan... but spoon makes one as well since you're sticking with that theme. Check out my build on insta... @iamdenniskim_s2k
Just an opinion, if you really want to master tracking the S, it's better to start with bone stock suspension (Maybe some wheels and tires) and learn the car on the track. Then once you get comfortable, slowly start adding coils, sways, joints, bushings, collar mounts. And you'll see how much faster you get. The S is fun af to drive but can be unforgiving in corners if you give it too much without knowing how to rotate it. Anyways, looking forward to the track build!
Nice video Dustin! hell of an effort on mods for the track all at once mate. Enjoy that S2K as much as I do mine. Learn how to control it at the track, and later on, get an aftermarket ECU to lower your VTEC engagement and remap it. The car changes DRASTICALLY. I've an 07, so I have Hondata. But you should go with an AEM V2.

Hey dustin, need some fitness advice: Im 15 and built lean. Ive been working on my shape for a while, proud to say i look pretty good. Need some help making my abs more visible, building a bigger chest/shoulders/arms and loosing face fat/toning my jawline. any advice? cant go to the gym right now as quarantine has shut everything down, so im limited to at home workouts. Spoon calipers but it still uses oem sized rotors so basically little to no improvements in the heat capacity of the brake system. Mismatch brake pad f/r, still using solid rear rotors. Probably why his rear brakes wore out so fast in his latest video but he should have checked over his brake system before heading to the track. Looks like Spoon pads are about $280 for fronts or rears but Winmax w5 can be had for $180 a set. But then it was free so not a waste of money, just not effective for the track.
Think it would be better, if he actually drove the car stock 1st and then start adding suspension components later.....
I’ll be honest. I want to know why Dustin will get one car and make videos about that one car for like a month and we don’t see the car again for a while. Dustin if you’re reading this, why don’t you rotate between cars some more, seems like you’re doing a lot so fast. It’s great that we have content to watch but it’s like the whole process feels rushed. I want to savor the moment. I want to be on the edge of my seat for s2k content but you’re stuffing my face with it 😅. Just me throwing in my 2 cents. Hopefully this shines light on the matter a little. Still love the videos regardless.

If it was your first time at the track, wouldn't it have been better to just run fresh fluids, good track pads and run it as is before throwing a bunch of expensive parts that may or may not drastically change the cars handling making it more difficult for a first time to learn the limits and then slowly progress up?
Isn't there supposed to be a break in cycle with the new pads? Most require a couple hundred miles of gentle use to let them bed in properly before hard track use. Also if you find that they squeal a lot it's likely because you didn't use any grease on the guide tabs / back of the pads.

You should do supercharger but a root style one power is always there and like 400hp can be easily achieved with e85 and a smaller pully you can even do a ported setup and run more powa baby

I love your videos dustin but it should always be driver mod first if you’re going on track. A stock s2000 is enough and you should put parts that is only necessary, step by step. Master the car on stock form then gradually putting track oriented parts. You have good teams on your back to train you thats an advantage already. Just sayin.
