    They all look really, really nice. Hats off to the small manufacturers trying to make a business from their own vision! That's one of the best things about this channel - it makes me want to wear much more "personality" in my eyewear because it shows the connection to the artisan.

      100% That's the most reqarding part of what I do! I'm so glad you appreciate the concept. I want people to feel more connected to their glasses and the actual real people behind the design and manufacture of them

    Personally, i’m a “Barton Perreira / Robert La Roche” man, (those “Toms” are deadly BTW). That said, of the three I’d go for the L’ecurie. I’m not an aviator fan but those are very cool. Keep up the good work Rob.

    Thank you for this, I love the look of the Ameos,I looked them up and these two retail at $179 USD. As this is in my price range I wonder if you could compare them to maybe some other independents. I own 4 pair of Sol Moscots pre and Luxxotica Persol,Alain Mikli,Crap (inexpensive but price for product very well-made) moncada, Oscar and Frank,Akila, and Ace and Tate. These or any common Luxxotica owned brands, i've owned many. Thank you so much, love the channel and would love to see you review more quality affordable independent brands

      I would say they are quality-wise on par or slightly below some of those brands, but stylistically they are better - in my opinion

    Love the video. I’ve seen all of these except L’Curie, but it’s good to get someone else’s take on the quality considering I would rather not buy all of them. The one I was very curious about was the Walton & Mortimer, so I’m glad you reviewed them. I enjoy heavier frames so I actually might get a pair after seeing this video. Might have to put it under the Hilco heater for a few seconds though to make them wider. My head is slightly larger than yours😅.

    I became a fan of this channel, I am looking forward to get a Gast Kawai but still trying to get an idea if they are light enough to be used 8hrs a day, they do not look that chunky as the others models 🤔 Any ideas? Thx

    • @thespectaclefactory
      @thespectaclefactory  ปีที่แล้ว

      I like to take my Gast off towards the end of the day, but they are certainly no less comfortable than Jacques Marie Mage, who so many people rave about. I would say Ameos are light and therefore more comfortable for around the same price.
      I hope you'll consider ordering through us whichever option you choose!

    I have a severe Migraine Disorder and have been wearing dark glasses since I was a kid , when I have an attack. I think we might have very different taste of glasses . I hate Luxottica you hate them , Everyone i know hates them. That said I have found over Many years that an amber/ rose colour works best for pain reduction. I like glass lenses, Polerized ,with anti- reflective coating (in my experience) it often wears off over time you might be able to give info about it? And finally I like acetate frames with wide side arms . The closest I have come (after Cartier) which are quite expensive has been Persol. They used to have an amber/ rose lens when they were independent and I could have them swap out others for the frames I liked . What advice can you give me if I came to your shop in the UK ? I also hate metal arms ,but own 1 pair of Persol that's a mix of acetate frame with metal arount the lenses. I am open for new designs & Brands !

    Yo man... I MOS def digg & love ALL of these UNDER-rated Shades, big time! But my definitive Favourite out of ALL 3 (although they're ALL very close to eachother) are the Walton & Mortimer, hands down! 😎😁💪👊⚔️
    I mean, I live in The Netherlands AND even bought the exact SAME one you featured over here in the OFFICIAL Dutch Store! The Limited Edition No.33 "Osaka, that is! 😎💪👉
    And yeah man... Just like you already said...
    "These are genuinely cool!"
    I couldn't agree MORE, man... They sure as hell ARE, big time! And as such, I rock 'Em like crazy on a daily basis! They make one helluva cool statement & are a conversation opener! And again, like you mentioned over here as well, without being "OVER-the-Top", more toned down & less ostentatious! 😎💪👉
    Funny & interestingly enuff though, thus far I HAVEN'T seen anyone else over here in The Netherlands rock these ones in particular besides myself---despite owning these ones for the past 6 months!
    These No.33 Limited Edition "Osaka" ones are Mad Cool & Dope as Hell fo' sho'... And extremely RARE out there in the public!
    Yup, I guess the price tag is just TOO damn HIGH for MOST people, combined with the fact that "Walton & Mortimer" is an extremely UNDER-rated Sunglasses Brand and flies under the radar in a MAJOR way to begin with...

    I think i would go with Marcus Marienfeld instead of these 3 Brands. Otherwise there is a brand and shop called "lunettes et vision" in germany, they make your own design with limited production to ten frames with natural horn and with your name on it. It starts at 1700€ up to over 2000€ for a frame. If you are searching for the best, then you have to try and show us products that are also made of natural horn imo.

      MM makes exceptional frames. Extremely special, unique and I would love to showcase them here on TH-cam.
      I've tried working with him but unlike every single brand who I have a loving, warm relationship with, I just never got that from him. He doesn't seem to like me and doesn't want us to be a stockist, which is a real shame as my own father wears one of his frames.

    • @pato10111
      @pato10111 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@thespectaclefactoryto be fair, I get a sense that if a brand isn't to your liking, either because you don't rate their products or their customer service isn't to your liking, it's going to get called out on your video. I'm sure you are are aware that being so honest about small emerging brands is going to burn bridges. Personally, I wouldn't come near this store for that reason with any of my brands. Nothing against you. You're just being honest and that's your thing, but young brands are often the ones who struggle the most getting their products up to the required standard or even just finding their own look in the market. Generally I find if a store doesn't like one of my brands, they just bite their tongue and won't buy it.
