What gets to me so much is her talking about Riko's ability to persevere even though she is objectively weaker than the people around her. Riko really is the heart and engine of the adventure driving everyone forward.

Kevin Penkin is so good at making music full of melancholy, whimsy, and wonder. You can feel the emotion as each scene transitions. Why does this series have to be so good? Why does it have to hurt in such a beautiful way
Season 2 could have been alternatively titled "The Tragedy of Vueko". Its perhaps one of the most sorrowful and yet beautiful stories in anime, and this track embodies its essence so perfectly.

It's always incomprehensibly far away, like the sun, and just like the sun it will burn you if you turn and face it for too long. The Golden City of the Blazing Son refers to *all* their dreams, and the tragic fate they face in trying to reach them. Contrast that with the Smooth Warm Darkness Vueko speaks often about. This is something *right* in front of her, because she can actually touch it and know it's smooth and warm. This is the thing one *should* treasure over the distant fantasy of the Golden City. I think it's a subtle but beautiful metaphore, snd the title is exactly on point. Irumui was focused on her own Golden City, and got burned same as everyone else. Only Vueko, who sought the darkness, died satisfied. Everyone else dies in a form of despair, their eyes locked on the Blazing city - Irumui included.
Finally I’ve been waiting for this song ever since ep 10 released and man this has to be my favorite song within the entire soundtrack man Kevin is such a genius i get so emotional when i hear this track its so good….
Wait until you find out her version of Juroimoh was made out of her own malformed reproductive organs (paraphrasing Tsukushi; it's implied her people rejected her because of some ambiguous malformation, hence they guessed she could never conceive)
Understanding the pain and suffering in this cruel story "Made in Abyss" makes us more grateful for life. Vueko she has gone through suffering and trying to atone for his sins so she died peacefully now. No more regrets, no need to force life with sadness anymore 😢 💔 Goodbye Vueko
The main theme leitmotif in this track hits really hard. Actually screw that, the overall usage of leitmotifs in the whole of s2's soundtracks hits hard. Damn you Kevin
No anime has ever gripped me like this one and the music elevated it to the highest place in my heart ... I will never recover from the stories that were told they changed me fundamentally and the tears I shed watching every episode and movie.. but I regret nothing...

Been waiting for this particular song since EP.1 the first time I heard the flute playing in the background in Veuko's childhood hit me hard right in the feel.
i am still obsessed with vueko willing to jump off the cliff to make the prophecy fail and free irumyuui, only to end up trapped for years forced to feel what irumyuui feels and then dying shortly afterward dying when irumyuui's protection ends after her death
Vuekoooo 😭😭 I keep associating this song with her and it makes me sad... [Major spoilers below] Idk about this but I find it interesting that compared to other curse-afflicted hollows which are mostly deformed flesh monsters in appearance, Vueko's hollow form is still humanoid, has a distinct furry left ear and was lucid enough to try to communicate with Faputa. I speculate that maybe Vueko didn't just take the Abyss curse, but received a blessing as well, maybe from Irumyuui's love. But unlike Nanachi & Bondrewd who alleviated the curse with certain technologies, Vueko didn't so it outweighed the blessing and melted her. As much as I wished for her to be able to tag alongside Riko's team, she belongs to the past, specifically Irumyuui, and I can't think of a better send-off than for her to pass away peacefully in her nonbiological granddaughter Faputa's arms.
I think that the 6th layer applies the blessing and curse simultaneously. You can notice often that cursed hollows have the soft, animal-like features (Mitty) that you see with blessed hollows. I think, like you said, the use of relics allowed Bondrewd and Nanachi to pass the curse half of the 6th's punishment to someone who holds immense love for them. In Vueko's case, I theorize that due to skimming the curse, either from a small ascent or the curse not fully entering Iruburu, she wasn't as heavily affected by the curse as others, like the one who virtually exploded when she was grabbed by a flying creature and rapidly ascended during the flashback. One thing to note [Spoilers] The gang encounter another blessed hollow in Srajo's group right after the events of this season. She's much bigger than Nanachi, though. It hasn't touched on much of Srajo or her team at all yet, so we don't know the specifics of the woman's hollowfication.
My guess is, she's only partially affected due to Pakkoyan's sacrifice and feelings towards her, and being pushed down and away from the curse as well.
She only took one step into the curse and then Pakkoyan saved what was left of her. I do think you touched on a good point though, you think because she was Irumyuui's love that some blessing was mixed in? I dunno, all I know is that I yelled "Nooo!!" out loud when I saw her walking up stairs, my chest gets tight even now remembering.

He was a journalist, a Boy Scout, a traveler, he travaled to a lot of places, when i watched Made in Abyss 6 years ago, i compared him with Rico. I miss him😢. But he was finally free of his pain. If you parents are still alive, go with them our time is not unlimited.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think the reason they all turned out like that was because the stuff they drank wasn’t actually water, but a parasite that looks like water.

I assume that, knowing her children were incapable of eating at all, her second wish was for them to be healthy (which would explain why they started to get better as they kept eating them) and the 3rd one to make an immortal children, one that would be able to escape from Wazukyan's plans. These 3 collective wishes would be inherited by Faputa when she was born
