I remember Lee Greenwood performing this on a Bob Hope USO Christmas show during the Gulf War. I bawled like a baby when I watched so many service men -in uniform - crying their hearts out in the audience. At home by myself at the time, I felt the obligation to stand and honor both my country and the men and women defending it.

Know that we here in America ALSO appreciate our Canadian neighbors to the North. We each have wonderful things about our countries that we hold dear, but the most fantastic thing to me is to know that we can count on you and you can count on us when the going gets tough. Ditto for England (UK), Australia, New Zealand too. We hold this world together as a group and we need to stick together no matter what.

Thank you for your service!!!! Adam Rupp is the beat boxer, he is the one who started Home Free. Adam Chance, they call him Chance, trades off with Tim on bass, but also sings an amazing baritone. Rob is lead tenor, and his voice is smooth as silk. Rob studied opera. He and Austin have an aria that they have recorded together. Austin studied music-theater, and i wouldn't say he has a common voice. He is their high tenor and can do about anything with his voice. The soloists from the Air Force Band have phenomenal voices, as do Home Free. Lee Greenwood still made this a song that will go down in history.

Lee Greenwood is still firing on all cylinders. Joining with Home Free and the Air Force Band just took such an iconic song 🎵 to another level. This was released during quarantine. Kudos to their producer Darren Russ and Adam. Adam does sing 🎶 in a couple of songs when he doesn't beat box .Check out Seven Bridges Road . Great reaction and thanks for your service

God bless the USA and those who risk their lives to protect it, from the military down to the police, firemen and paramedics.

Rob who is from Minnesota sings "from the lakes of Minnesota, Tim who is from Texas sings "across the plains of Texas, and Chance who was born in Florida and lives in California sings "from sea to shining sea". I believe that some of the Airmen are from where they sing as well. There is so much meaning in this song. I love the Jet sound that Rupp makes at the end. Amazing.

What a powerful compilation! Each three of these groups alone is phenomenol, but put together are untouchable! There are no musical instruments, of course! HOMEFREE carries their instruments in each perfect mouth! The beatboxer, Adam Ruff, can make every sound from a harmonica to snare drums! The bass, Tim Foust, has a 5 octave range and his tenor is as beautiful as is his bass, powerful! He is writing some fantastic songs for the group, now! The other 3 are unbelievable and harmonize better, in my opinion, than any other accapella group out there! The Airforce Band is spectacular and of course this would not be possible without the wonderful songwriting and vocals of the GREAT Lee Greenwood! He is an American treasure! Thank you for your glowing reaction and special THANKS to these 3 groups for coming together to honor AMERICA! ❤

Hey Tom welcome back to Home Free, we missed you brother ! Lee said he felt more free to sing as he wished in this recording than he's ever felt before, and he thanked Home Free for allowing that. He's always felt constrained in the past to make it sound like the original....Lee is an artist, and they like to try new things & was thankful that Home Free told him to do his thing !!! They said they trusted him, and this was the result !!!! And it's my favorite version of the song now....and this is being played at stadiums & other places now, over the older versions. Tom you've missed some extraoridinary music by Home Free, and please do reactions to People featuring Jeffrey East...the song is beautiful, but the video is amazing & it says a lot about things Home Free believes in...inclusiveness, tolerance & loving all....as weare all "Just People" as the song states....please a special request here for that one...can you bring your wife on board for that one, as you as a couple I think will enjoy it

Adam's beatboxing in this is just out of this world. The military cadence toward the end and then the fighter jet flyover sound at the very end!
FYI, the bass-baritone Adam Chance just goes by Chance. He joined in 2016, but beatboxer Adam Rupp is the only remaining founding member from when they started in 2000, so he has 16 years' seniority and "dibs" on the name 😁

Lee Greenwood said he really enjoyed singing this song with Home Free as well as the Air Force Band because he was able to do adlibs. He said he felt he normally couldn't put adlibs in because his audiences love to sing it with him, so he has to stick to the original version. Thank you for your service. May God bless you and yours.

I’ve always loved this song & cry every time I hear it. My oldest son went into the US Marines.
At his graduation, the Marine Band played this. Luckily, I’d brought a hand towel from the motel.
When they started playing this song, I put that towel up to my face & just sobbed. You could hear all those new Marines sniffling & see tears running down their faces. I’ll never forget that beautiful, emotional, touching moment.

With them singing, Adam sounded like a whole damn symphony behind them and the flyover sound he did at the end was the perfect touch.

As a veteran, 1969 through 1973 active duty, then 2 years inactive duty, I found this song to be an emotional carnival ride. I would never trade those years of service for any other life experience. And, if you want to learn why this country is so great, you need to visit some of those 3rd world countries we visited to help. I went to Turkey instead of Southeast Asia but then, you go where they send you. A great review, thanks for your submission.
