Absolutely wonderful, what a beautiful way to honour your grandmother! I am working on a set of 24 journals (altered books) for my family inspired by a quilt that we made for our Oma and Opa's 50th wedding anniversary. (I cut each cousins personal embroidered quilt bock apart and that quilt piece is the center page of each individual journal) long story along with pictures of the full original quilt. Could have really used your distressing "paint" as I am using so much ink. I would love to get your recipe. Again your work is truly creative and inspirational. Thank You

I am honoured to say there where some tears as they flipped the pages together at our Christmas get-together and saw the memories I tried to capture. When I get the next ones done I will try to make a video (also a first) and send it to you. When I add this up it turns into 22 journals not 24. Unless I make extra for my mom and my aunt.
Oh wow I would have loved to see Ester's book! I had a similar thing with a scrapbook my mother kept. I remember it well as a child. Once in a while she would let me look through it. It was falling apart. Photo corner holders were unsticking, scotch tape was yellowed and falling off. It was full of newspaper clippings and old photos of her family and little memorabilia of pretty papery things she had collected as a young girl. I don't know what ever happened to it. It wasn't in her things when I packed up her home. BTW -- I love your artistic style. Thank you for sharing your beautiful work. ~~Catherine
Yes ❤ I have tons of old photo albums that are the same falling apart tape yellow 💛 🤗 I have to find them they are buried in the attic. I will get them out properly when we move. The memories are wonderful ❤ my mother as well. She was a semester 😍 but my grandmother 👵 wow all the beautiful things she had. I don't till this day understand how my mother got rid of all her things😔 if only I new then. That making journals and collecting antiques was going to be such a big part of Mt life I would have kept everything that she had. Of my gosh her laces and fabrics😍 it's almost to hard to think about. Thank goodness I have my memories 🥰 thank you so much for sharing Catherine 🤗
