Superb explanation. Most of the people out there are concerned about what other people think of them, and in the process they ignore things which are actually important. When we look at an extremely expensive car, the first thing which comes to our mind is that, " Oh! If I buy this car, people will think that I am so cool and smart". When the fact of the matter is that, we ourselves are not thinking the same about the person who is driving that expensive car. Cars are just meant to carry us from one place to another. Beyond a certain level of comfort, no other luxury matters. Same holds true for houses as well.
moving to Qatar soon with family. I planned pretty similar. Get a rental (depending on days) car till my salary. Get a Yaris or Raize QAR 55K. Pay 20% ish down payment. 4 Years time was new to me (thank you for that).

What if we include annual depreciation too in this? For ex Landcrusiers depreciate lesser in UAE - moreover if we buy a used Land Cruiser it will depreciate lesser compared to newer one.

i want to know if i can buy new car on cash, do i need to buy on installment, rest money to invest ???
if you buy on cash and still left with money then definitely invest the remaining if the emergency fund is sorted.

At the end of the year, 2021 state Bank of Pakistan applied a limit of Rs. 3 million on any type of car financing. I don't think you can avail more than that.
Still may other factors are valid - like EMI etc.

Nice info. Is it applicable for Pre Owned cars as well? or it has a different percentage?
I never suggest to buy pre owned cars on bank loan. They will cost you more because of high mark up rates.

Wali bai. Great informative content as always. I think there is a mistake in calculating the EMI. You're also including the advance amount.
No, I have deducted the amount which is already paid as advance.
In the case of Yaris, interest is being calculated on a net amount that is 36,000, however there's a little mistake while calculating EMI, should have added 36,000 to the total interest.

Wali bhai, this rule is great. Please encorporate Halal/Haram aspect applicablility as I am a Muslim and is bound by my faith not to go for interest based contracts.
You can try sharia based loans - but I feel the impact they make in terms of repayment is the same as any conventional bank.
