- Updated 1/23/24 To include changing the F1 Screen tool setter line to Low/Green.
How to install the Onefinity CNC 'EAZY-Z' Automatic height tool setter on the Onefinity CNC Elite machine powered by Masso.
Purchase the EAZY-Z automatic height tool setter here: www.onefinitycnc.com/product-...
The tool setter is an automatic tool offset probe for setting z height during tool changes.
Tool setter is not to be confused with the XYZ Probe (here). They are two different things.
What is the difference between the XYZ Touch Probe and the Tool Setter? The XYZ Touch Probe will set the XYZ zero point on the material and the Tool Setter adjust the Z zero point after a tool change.
The tool setter will only work with Elite Series machines with the Masso controller. It is plug and play.
Important note: The tool setter will not work with Original or PRO Series machines (buildbotics controllers).

Great job Stone!
Thank you!
Thank You, worked great
Glad it helped
Onefinity should have allowed 2-3 inches on either side for a fixed tool setter and ATC rack. So that the cutting area isn't compromised.
We do not sell or support a ATC.
Should you mount on top of your waste board or level with waste board? How does the software know if you are level with waste board or on top?
Up to the user, either will work. You tell the masso where it is located during setup.
I haven't been able to find it, but I'm guessing the touch probe pin connections are different between the original and elite?
exactly the same
@@OnefinityCNC awesome
So in theory if I zero to my waste board then tell Carveco my zero is set to the bottom of my material I should never have to zero my machine again, correct? (Assuming I put in the correct thickness for my material in the software when I set up a new job.)
correct
I saved the auto tool zero settings. Went back to the F2 screen and pressed home. The machine went back to the tool setter but never dropped down to set the Z-offset. I have redone the process in the video multiple times with the same results. It always goes back to the tool setter but never lowers the bit down onto the tool setter for Z. What am I missing?
space bar.... you have to select the tool setter and press the space bar which will shift the status from high to low

Email support. They said mine would be shipping out this week.
Are you running multiple tools on a single loaded file to Masso using Carveco? Where's that how to video? I know it can be done just haven't figured it out and all the "youtubers" or saying to save only the same tools to a one file at a time.
As far as I know you save each path in an appropriate order, then save as one g code. I think mark lindsay went over it but can't remember.
I haven't needed to yet. But I have been asked on screen to change tools when loading new ones with different bits.
With the tool setter, you can run multiple bits in one gcode.
@OnefinityCNC still waiting on tool setter. Ordered 4 weeks ago along with the z braking motor. There was 4-6 week lead time on motor I was not aware I would have to wait on the tool setter also. I've had no response from emails to onefinity about shipping confirmation or tracking since I did not receive it as expected last week. And since I'm venting: I ordered my machine with an 80mm spindle mount. Why am I already having to purchase a new driver? Is onefinity addressing this for future orders?
Thank you for your reply
@@BenFuller-ls8pm I ordered my tool setter opening day (12-4-2023) had a 2-3 week lead time according to the site. I literally received it today 2-5-2024, 8 weeks later. I had to call as they didn't respond to my email inquiries either. I love my Elite Foreman but damn, 8 weeks for an accessory is terrible! P.S. Make sure your wire is in the appropriate location before attaching to the spoil board, mine was pinched and inside the mounting hole. If I wouldn't have seen it, I would have screwed right through the wire ruining it day 1! Did I mention I love my Onefinity though! :)
My machine will be here this month. I wish I were excited about it. Grateful yes, but not looking forward to it. 🙁
You'll Love it!
