Instead of flipping tractor tires, he could flip elm rounds. Nice sharing and helping the young man do functional fitness. I worked with people who could only lift something from the gym. They were not able to transfer the mechanics of being a weightlifter to actual work. Please remember all The Gold Star Families on this special day. Oh I got something free from Chris. I grifted some jerky and maple syrup. We both loved it.
While loading those rounds, your evil laugh about splitting them was quite apparent!!! Nice load of split wood. Jerry is always a Great payment!! Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day
Fun vid an nice work today Chris! He will certainly have fun splitting the elm! 🔥💯👍🤜🤛. Always enjoy my visit to the channel!🔥💯👍. See you soon! Andrew from NB :)
When I was still in high school, the summer before my senior year, I hand split a huge pine tree around 30" in diameter. I used wedges and an 8# sledge. It was a real good work. 👍❤️📹😃💪
Going out of your way for that young fella speaks volumes about you Chris. He must be a good young man to want to split wood for his mum, and good on you mate for going the extra mile. Cheers from HB NZ
You hurt my back lifting that elm. LOL, I hope his son is younger than me! He sure will get a good workout... A neighbor brought over two huge tree trunks, about 3 feet diameter and 8 feet long, I've got my work cut out for me! Thanks again for another inspiring video!
The customers son has been watching Tom Havilland. Hes a monster. Does alot of unconventional work outs. Ill always appreciate your, give more , attitude. That's what got me here.
So first off, I’m glad you didn’t get mad over what I said about the face cord vs full cord, I did not have malice behind what I said, I just said it stupidly. Most of my firewood came from my parent’s property, but the rest has come from a local tree service who has bent over backwards making sure I am happy with my haul. I have no splitter so I just keep hitting the same spot over and over again and eventually it does the thing.
No worries, there is just a big riff between the 1/3 cord crowd and the face cord crowd and the "what the heck is a cord" crowd. And I have to constantly explain the words, use and meaning so it gets old. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I'm a little ways South of you in Lodi, WI. If you've heard of it. I split and sell wood, mainly just as a hobby, but it also helps pay the bills. You've got the best wood splitting channel on TH-cam
@@InTheWoodyard I live right on Crystal Lake, there's been many times I've split wood on the ice during winter, and I've been known to put some tip ups out and catch a few fish, while splitting wood. I think that wood make an awesome video. Pending ice conditions. Plenty of dead wood on the lake since we've experienced a lot of flooding lately.
G’morning Chris. Great to give them what they want. By the way, do you ever miss/want to process a load of logs entirely by hand, the old school way? Stacking included. GoodNightIrene
Hey Chris I am in the market for a new wood splitter. I was wondering how much wood per hour can you split a cod with the ultra. How much faster is it with two people? I got a 33 ton huskee and I am getting a cord every hour and a half.
The cycle time on the ultra is 4 seconds so it is as fast as 2-3 people can go, it is usually waiting for us! I never did a timed teat but with close, good wood and 3 guys I think that 3 full cords an hour would be easy...maybe more.
The next time you find an enormous silver maple that has been standing in the middle of a field… I think it is great you sent him a good variety of species. It just might give him a few blisters.
He is doing it for exercise and a challenge not for easiness. Most people most of the time avoid work and try to find an easier way...I admire people and this boy who welcome hard things.
Sorry, maybe tomorrow we can just lay on a blanket in a field of flowers and talk about my favorite ice cream flavor, kinda like a media interview with a politician they like...all soft and fuzzy! haaa!
Gave yourself the vertebrate test hey...did you eat breakfast the next day if you got outta bed? Abusing the body I call it at your age. Oh well who am I to say. I'm not a doctor. 6 outta 10. TC!
Have to the west coast Newfoundland ( rock 🪨) get yourself an organic moose for moose jerky Chris . Kurt front Oklahoma USA 🇺🇸, took part of his moose meat 🥩 make it in jerky 😊last fall . Back again this fall for more moose meats for jerky .😊

Yes today is a day to remember and honor all who gave all.
Its so nice to see you go out of your way to provide some rounds for the young man to split. You're a thoroughly decent man.
Thanks.

He will learn and grow with the elm!

Good morning! The sadistic Elm snicker at 3:05 was the best.

It would be interesting for the customer's son to shoot a video of splitting the elm rounds.
Maybe next time I can arrange a play day to do so???

Snidely Whiplash! On the Rocky and Bullwinkle show...I loved that!

Yes and no. I want to but the time and effort to do so would probably not be worth it and my body might shut down in protest!
I hear ya there. But the people would love the old format !!
Good morning Chris,Good video. Good Memorial Day to all

No, he WANTS exercise so I obliged.
I have some ginormous maple the kid can have. Will keep him out of trouble most of the summer. Those rounds are that big.
Yes, I believe it, some of those soft maple trees get HUGE!
Another good watch. Unusual wood order. I dont like Elm-Low BTU, Tough to split, stringy, Kid is going to have a workout.
Elm is very average wood for heat but yes I call it satan wood.

Lol I think I've heard this story about three or four times! Lol that's funny!
It is the second time I sold him rounds so 2 for me.
The next time you find an enormous silver maple that has been standing in the middle of a field… I think it is great you sent him a good variety of species. It just might give him a few blisters.
Yup, he will be tested!
Hi Chris, I just noticed that you got the numbers wrong for the phone number at 12:43, you said 472, but the number on the bag says 427..
ooops!
You have a sponsor in the woodyard. Well done. Come on Husqvarna, it's time to step it up. He needs a nitrous saw.
No sponsor yet, just a bunch of free equipment...no complaints yet.
Great!
Thanks hard workin' man.

Yup, elm is harder!
I want a baby dumper trailer! I love that there is a kid that digs splitting wood.

You gave the poor kid seasoned elm? Must have wanted to spend all year splitting! 😂
He is doing it for exercise and a challenge not for easiness. Most people most of the time avoid work and try to find an easier way...I admire people and this boy who welcome hard things.
Cool, here I get my unsplited round half splited price o.O

Nice job Chris. Working harder is sometimes smarter. Heavy breathing and a strong constitution keeps the lazy fat away. GNI
Yup, lack of work kills.
I’m worn out watching ya. 💪

Unsplit elm? You must really not like your jerky guy. 😅

@@InTheWoodyard he's gonna learn! Lol!
He needs some Osage and hackberry
Wer have very little hackberry here and almost no osage.
