Great video! I'm also on the hunt for an N100 NAS motherboard, and it's good to see that there's something with onboard 2.5gbe and 10gbe. TrueNAS is considered for "Prosumers" and has a learning curve, but it is considered one of the best free solutions out there.
I also want to buy an N100 mobo because of the low power consumption pero medyo gipit pa sa budget. Antay nalang cguro ako ng mga sales. Great video btw.
OMG! For reasons to leave Synology you basically said nothing but that it is your fault to know nothing about a NAS and how redundancy and backup works. NOTHING in this world will fix it!

Thanks for dropping by! I definitely underestimated the complexity hahaha. But i agree its one of the better solutions out there!

Aba syempre! Aliw kaya hehehe

Sobrang sulit hehehe saka so far wala naman akong nadidinig na bad reviews sa Mobo
I think something between Synology and TrueNAS is unraid.
I have not tried this, i’ve seen that its easier to add drives in unraid if you need to add storage.
@PinoyAverageConsumer yes also installing is pretty much installing an iso on to a usb drive. It was so easy
Snapshots are not backups. Read up on a 3-2-1 backup strategy.
Hey thanks for the input, will read up on it.
Fun project, but you could have gotten there much easier on Synology with just two bigger drives. Or use Xpenology if hardware was the motivation.
I was thinking of xpenology but i wouldnt be able to use the online features. I think having both synology and truenas has its benefits. :)

Hey thanks for dropping by, like i said I’m new to this. Thanks for the input tho. Cheers!
