Great video! I have been in medical coding for 8 years and and also have experience in insurance claims processing. I just signed up for your course starting in December and I’m super excited!
Can you please make detail videos on healthcare business analytics/ analyst , how is that carrier , what technical skill do we need and what project of business analyst we can work on
Sure, here's a couple videos to watch to get you started: Where to start: th-cam.com/video/ime7OBlERiM/w-d-xo.html Projects: th-cam.com/video/GM-zxWxE6Kw/w-d-xo.html
Great stuffs! Currently working as Data Integrity Specialist and wanting to transit into more data analytics. When is your spring cohort open? Thank you
I'm just now finding your channel so I apologize if you have already answered this but I wanted to ask if you had to get any AHIMA certifications like the CHDA cert or the RHIT cert to be a healthcare data analyst? The AHIMA website makes them sound mandatory
Hi @awildthatcher, it couldn't hurt to have them (though they do appear to be costly). That being said, out of the dozens of data analysts that I've worked with in healthcare, I don't recall any of them having these particular certifications, so I don't think they are really needed. I personally don't have these certs.
Hello! I'll be sending out an announcement through my mailing list probably in late February for a signup date for the Spring cohort session. No exact dates yet, but it would start in March sometime probably.
A BS in Data Analytics is great. For the CHDA, I suppose it couldn't hurt to have, but out of the dozens of data analysts that I know in healthcare, I don't think any of them have this certification. And I don't think it's very well known either. So I wouldn't worry too much about getting that. Maybe forcus your energy on building a portfolio, and networking instead.
@DataWizardry hello, so im doing bs in computer science(focus on data science). What do you recommend next? Should i do masters in data science focusing in healthcare? Whats the route after bs in computer science. I am really trying to find the answer
Can I schedule a zoom meeting to get certified in the data analytics certification because other people in your field charge a lot of money for the sake of helping but it’s comparable to student aid price tag.
I have a degree in nutrition, but I’ve been working in an unrelated field for some time. Recently, I developed an interest in data analysis, particularly in the healthcare sector. Do you think it’s possible for a foreigner, like myself (I’m Brazilian), to secure a remote data analysis job in the U.S.?
Hello Josh. Should you see this comment I wanted to double check if you have a certain date for the spring cohort drop date ? Will it be this month or March. Looking forward for a reply. Thanks
Hello, you dont need to be a coder to be a data analyst. Although it is good to know what the various codes do. Like icd10 cm is for diagnoses, icd10 pcs for procedures, cpt is for certain serivces, etc.
Please post more often, your videos are really helpful & you explain very well!
Thanks @GamerShaggy, will probably be doing videos more frequently soon!
Looking forward to your training to begin

What's your take on a person coming out with a B.S in Data analytics and then taking the CHDA-Certified Healthcare Data Analysis?
